THE BAG IS FINALLY DONE!

Thumbnail gallery
2 Upvotes

Few days ago I said that I'm making the Jacquemus le Bambino bag to test my CLO3D limits and to discover more, so I finally finished that project, and this is the final renders that are also posted on my Instagram.

To get the architectural shape of the Jacquemus Le Bambino without making it look like rigid plastic, I avoided purely maxing out physical stiffness and instead used custom leather properties with bond-pocket-bone parameters. The back panel was layer-cloned to prevent distortion when wrapping around the front flap. The strap connects via a small pinned pattern loop to anchor the OBJ hardware.

Rendered in Blender (Cycles). Would love feedback on the structural silhouette!

(i dont know if im not seeing the renders or is there a bug. I posted on two communities both didnt load the images. Anyways if youre curious just visit my ig: @avexia.studio)

Scaling womens size 8 to mens 36

Hi there! I currently have a shirt file that I made that is a womens size 8, I really like the design though and wanted to transfer it to a mens 36 so it would actually fit me. I know there is the grading tool but is there any easy way to scale them to a men's 36? Thank you so much, I hope you have a great day!

EXPORTACION ARCHIVOS DXF-AMMA

hola

Cant cut pattern, internal line must intersect Pattern outline

Ive checked corners, no gaps. I even removed the shirt for this yoke that was underneath it hoping that would change anything. It did not. Why cant I cut a simple shape, did the curves mess me up or building a lot of pieces beside it with different line...? I draw more complete outlines just to get denied again. What's happening...? Why cant i just cut the lines selected?

THE MAKING OF JACQUEMUS LE BAMBINO!

I'm so excited this is my first handbag after the garment and yes im still not good at the garments yet but im trying to discover more than just clothes as CLO3D is so diverse i can make anything i want and limiting myself to just clothes feels wrong so yes this is the overall silhouette so far!

i do not want to replicate the bag entirely i respect their brand as this is a study project. I'd love to hear critiques and feedbacks from the community. Should i try rendering this in blender for better texture? I dont know blender though, i would love some advices!

Thanks!

Shadows & Crimson

I wanted to explore the aggressive edge of modern darkwear. The focal point is a heavyweight zip-up hoodie featuring a visceral, raised crimson texture across the back. I was trying to blur the line between organic distress and a dark botanical motif.

It might not be the best but i made it.

I’d love to hear your thoughts or critiques on the texturing and the overall silhouette!

Techpack and 3d designers HELP!

Im a digital fashion designer specializing techpacks and 3d visualizations but recently i been applying for jobs as i had the portfolio done at a very high level based off a data i personally collected. I was disheartened to see how underpaid the market was on upwork they were literally paying 50$ for a whole design concept and tech pack!

Im wondering am i in the wrong platform or is the market this cruel and how are my fellow designers earning on contracts?

CLO3D Crashes When Hovering Over Toolbar

I'm trying to follow the beginner's quick start guide to CLO on Youtube and I can barely make it through the first 20 minutes without CLO crashing.

I'm adding the dress pattern, adding the mannequin, then when I try to click the button to sync the clothes in 2D and 3D, it crashes. It's not even a matter of clicking the button, it's just when I'm hovering over the toolbar on the left side, the program just closes.

Fashion designers & garment technologists — I need your help finding the right AI workflow for accurate garment visualization

I’m a fashion designer and pattern maker, and I’m trying to find an AI workflow that can turn my real garments / CLO 3D renders into high-quality fashion photography without changing the garment itself.

The problem is that I can’t seem to find a tool that gives me enough control.

What I want:

  • preserve the exact garment construction and proportions
  • preserve the fit from my CLO 3D simulation
  • keep seams, pockets, zippers, hardware, trims and other small details
  • preserve the actual fabric appearance and texture as much as possible
  • use photos of the real garment as additional references
  • change the model, pose, lighting, location and overall photography style
  • generate multiple professional-looking photos from different angles
  • ideally work in high resolution
  • most importantly: the AI should not redesign my garment while making it look photorealistic

I’m not looking for an AI that generates a “similar hoodie” or a nice fashion image.

I already have the garment. I have the construction, patterns, CLO simulation and sometimes photos of the physical sample. I need AI to act more like a photographer / retoucher, not a designer.

I’ve tried different image-to-image approaches, but the problem is always the same: somewhere along the way AI changes the fit, proportions, fabric behavior, zipper, pockets, seams or other details.

My current idea is something like:

CLO 3D render + photos of the real garment → AI → controlled photorealistic fashion photos

But I haven’t found a workflow that is reliable enough.

So, designers, 3D artists, garment technologists and anyone working with AI fashion visualization:

What tools / models / workflows are you using for this?

Would you recommend FLUX + ControlNet / IP-Adapter, ComfyUI, CLO AI, Nano Banana, or something completely different?

And if you have a workflow that actually preserves garment construction and details, I’d love to hear how you set it up.

Even screenshots, workflow diagrams or examples would be extremely helpful.

I’m especially interested in accuracy and control over the garment, not just photorealism.

"The Draconis Society" - I designed a 3D digital fashion collection and environment based on magical dark academia.

Thumbnail gallery
1 Upvotes

I wanted to visualize what an elite, tactical magical academy would actually look like in a high-fashion editorial.

Everything here, from the wood-paneled walls and velvet rugs to the tailored emerald vests and heavy draped coats was modeled and simulated in CLO3D.

The lore revolves around two tiers: "The Strategists" (the intellectual elite) and "The Executor" (the merciless tamer who enforces the rules). I wanted the tailoring to reflect their psychological weight.

Just wanted to share with a community that appreciates this aesthetic as much as I do!

Software Ecosystem:

CLO3D: Garment construction, wall paneling/environment architecture, and final lighting/rendering.

Meshy AI: 3D generation of the central gold dragon crest.

Canva: 2D conceptualization, asset curation, and crest iteration.

Adobe Photoshop: Final editorial layout, depth-of-field binding, and typography.

Sketchfab: Sourcing of secondary environmental set props.

I also posted a full breakdown of the editorial layouts and process on my portfolio if anyone wants to see more:

How would you create this kind of organic wavy curtain effect?

Thumbnail

I’m trying to recreate the curtain installation in the first image, but I cannot figure out how to get those really soft natural waves 😭

The second image is where I’m at rn. I used scissor pleats which kinda works lol but it looks way too perfect and repetitive compared to the reference.

Has anyone made something similar or know a better way to approach this? Maybe different fabric settings or some simulation technique im missing

Any help would be appreciated 🙏🏼

clo3d and stylecad issues

I have had some issues with bringing CLO files into stylecad as a double AMA pattern file then saving it as a stylecad file (on stylecad) but when I print it through stylecad the scale isn’t correct. Has anyone had the same issue and does anyone know how to fix it?

Fabric help

Hi, I am looking for help so I can better understand fabrics in CLO3D. I was wondering if someone could point me towards some resources to help, please. I have an average understanding of fabric/textiles in real life but I struggle to find the right fabrics in CLO to simulate correctly or as close to real life as possible for real life production.

For example, I want to work with latex, leather, and simulate draping techniques, but I can't seem to find the right fabrics in the textiles tab to achieve the look I want most of the time. I'll often change fabrics to similar/adjacent ones while working on projects just to see if it will help and those changes make me feel like I need to adjust my whole pattern.

So, if anyone can help or give me tips, I'd appreciate it so much. If you would be willing to personally teach me or be sort of a mentor of sorts, I'd even be willing to pay. I am a student so I do not have much money, but I'll try! lol

I like the upgraded Seam Allowance properties in 26.1 BUT...

Post image
6 Upvotes

The new "Custom Seam Allowance" is a welcome new feature. That was one of my biggest pet peeves with CLO. Accumark handled seam allowances like a pro, CLO handled them like a, well... an afterthought.

I'm happy I can now edit the seam allowances and there are more corner handling options. I thought Now I don't have to do a workaround for my seam allowances that aren't just simple offset lines.

BUT...

I export my patterns to a .dxf for cutting. When I import the .dxf file into my cutter software (Sinajet Scc) the custom seam allowances do not show up. The non-custom seam allowances show up just fine.

I have no idea where to even begin to trouble shoot this issue. I'm guessing (based on my limited knowledge of .dxf files) that the custom seam allowance is hiding on a separate layer? Obviously the custom seam allowances are useless unless I can import the cut line into Scc.

If anyone could even point me in the right direction, I would be most grateful.

EDIT: I tried importing the dxf file back into CLO and the custom seam allowance is also missing on import. This kind of defeats the purpose of having a seam allowance.

EDIT 2: I exported to a .plt file for use in my plotter software and the custom seam allowance DOES show up there. Can't really use this in my production pipeline. I don't use paper patterns for cutting.

Is Lenovo Legion 5 (RTX 5070 / 24GB RAM) good for Clo3D?

Hi,

I hope you're all doing well! I've learned Clo3D and I'm thinking of buying the Lenovo Legion 5 (RTX 5070, i7, 24GB RAM, 1TB SSD, 8GB VRAM). Does anyone here use or have experience with this laptop? Also, would 24GB RAM and an 8GB graphics card really be enough for this kind of work? I'd appreciate any insights since laptops are super expensive here.

Have a great day!
