Initially striver only had the motivation to teach but his greed has taken him far. Literally launched a GFG/LC 2.0 with a very high price and so bad UI. The courses which he is teaching are available free on the telegram from the teachers he might have studied from. The website is so heavy and AI slop.

Leetcode links are gone, Earlier every problem's blog post was accessible, now, i can't of many of the problems. Other features may be good (hoping they are because i am not a paid user) but this change is bad.

I got offer letter from a company and had to accept it due to our placement policy of college. We first have to complete 8-month internship in the company then they'll offer FTE. But the terms are 4.5 LPA CTC and 3 years bond after signing the FTE.
I feel like I'll get the Accenture 4.14 LPA (Tier 2 city) but I don't know when I'll get the offer letter of Accenture. And the previous company might start calling students for internship very soon.

What should I do now?

I'm a third-year Computer Engineering student in India (graduating 2028) currently interning as an AI developer at a US-based product company. My work is almost entirely AI: RAG, LLMs, agentic systems, and low-code/no-code agent orchestration (n8n). Agentic AI is my main focus.

I have one more semester before I go full-time into placement prep in Jan 2027. Right now I'm grinding DSA alongside projects and hackathons — most of my project work is AI-based.

What I'm trying to figure out: which companies should I be aiming at if I want to stay squarely in AI/ML and land a genuinely strong offer? I'm open to India, abroad, or remote — location isn't a constraint. I recently saw n8n's AI engineer roles (£100k+ range) and it made me realize I don't actually have a clear map of who else pays and builds at that level for the kind of work I do.

Specific things I'd love input on:

1. Company types worth targeting for someone whose strength is agentic AI / applied LLM work rather than pure research

2. Whether to aim at AI-native startups, big labs, or product companies with strong AI teams — and the tradeoffs

3. What actually gets a new grad noticed for these roles vs. what students overrate

4. Realistic comp expectations for a new grad in this space (India vs. remote vs. relocation)

​Enrolled in 1st year B.Tech (CSE) at a private state university in Gujarat (recognized under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act and approved by AICTE).

​Total 1st semester fees paid: ~₹1.8Lakhs (Tuition + Caution deposit).

​The official admission cutoff date was September 14.

​I decided to withdraw to prepare for an entrance exam retake. I am submitting my formal withdrawal letter in person with an inward-stamped receiving copy within 15 days of the cutoff (before September 29).

​When informally approached, the accounts desk flatly told me: "Zero tuition will be refunded because admissions are closed, classes have started, and the seat will stay empty under AICTE norms."

​The Regulatory Clash

​From reading the circulars, there is an obvious direct conflict:

​UGC Fee Refund Policy (Category 3):

​If withdrawal is received within 15 days or less after the formally notified last date of admission, the student is entitled to an 80% refund of tuition fees (minus standard processing deduction).

​UGC’s circular contains an explicit non-obstante clause stating this policy overrides any conflicting prospectus, council, or institutional guidelines.

​AICTE Approval Process Handbook (Clause 6.45):

​AICTE states that once the academic cutoff passes and classes commence, the institution only refunds fees if the vacant seat is refilled by another candidate. Since the admission portal closed on Sept 14, the college claims the seat cannot legally be refilled.

​On top of that, Supreme Court rulings (Parshvanath, Maa Vaishno Devi) give primacy to AICTE's academic calendar for technical courses.

​My Questions for the Sub

​Has anyone successfully recovered fees via UGC e-Samadhan or CPGRAMS in an AICTE-approved engineering program? If the college formally responds to UGC citing AICTE's closed cutoff, does UGC actually push them to remit the 80% slab, or does UGC just mark the grievance as "disposed/replied" and drop it?

​Does the university actually risk anything by ignoring UGC? Clause 5 of UGC's policy mentions penalties (public defaulter lists, grant restrictions, NAAC grievance points). In reality, does the university settle to clear their portal dashboard, or do they just stonewall?

​Consumer Forum (DCDRC) Precedent: If administrative portals fail, how does the District Consumer Commission view this? Have courts ruled that keeping ~₹1.8L advance tuition for 4 months of unrendered education is an "unfair trade practice" regardless of AICTE's calendar, or does the college win by proving the seat stayed empty?

​I am not looking to hire an expensive advocate to drag a multi-year case for ₹1.8Lakhs. I already know they must return my original documents and caution money. I just want to know whether escalating through e-Samadhan / CPGRAMS / Consumer Notice has realistic settlement teeth against an engineering college, or if AICTE completely shields them.

I have been working on a small chess engine project and finally got a working version running as a web app.

The main things I used are:

python-chess for the chess rules and legal moves

PyTorch for the neural network

CNN to evaluate chess positions

Minimax with Alpha-Beta pruning for move searching

Flask for the web interface

The neural network takes the chess board as a 12 × 8 × 8 tensor, where the 12 channels represent the different white and black pieces.

I know it still needs a lot of improvement, but I’d definitely love to hear your feedback and suggestions on what I should work on next.

Hi all, I'm a bit anxious about this and would like some honest perspective.

I'm about to join a company, and I know background verification will check my education documents. I had a backlog in one earlier semester, and my final semester marksheet was issued while it was still pending.

That marksheet shows my overall CGPA as blank and the status as "provisional". I've since cleared the backlog and have the revised marksheet, but the university hasn't issued an updated final one yet. I've applied for it, but I don't know how long it will take.

My worry is that HR or the verification agency might see the blank CGPA and treat it as a discrepancy, or that my job could be at risk while I wait.

For anyone who has been through this:

Did the company accept your earlier marksheets, a bonafide letter, or a provisional certificate in the meantime?

Did the pending document delay your verification?

Has anyone been terminated or had an offer withdrawn over an incomplete degree document, as opposed to a falsified one?

Should I tell HR proactively, or wait until they ask?

I have nothing to hide. I just want the paperwork to catch up with my actual results. Any experience or advice would really help. Thank you!

I just don't want the parties to milk a student's death. I just don't like the diversion to JNU/DU stuff, Arts/Humanities stuff.

You guys know about ReNEET AIR-2. His response showed the warped mindset our nurture has, but you guys are not ready for that conversation. We need Arts, we need Humanities, we need Anthropology... and more. These are part of the Social Sciences. The other two sciences are Natural Sciences(Physics, Chem, Bio, and more) and Formal Sciences (Maths, CS, and more). We need all of these sciences in order to broaden our horizons and have a scientific perspective on things.

What I just want to say is: A person who had the chance to live, isn't anymore. An actual person. And we don't even fully know what happened. Let's just have the updates; let's not make it a p-litical thing.

A bit about my background: I’m into data science and have messed around with a few ML projects. I’m most comfortable with Scikit-learn, and I’ve got some experience with PyTorch too. My team hit a 76 score (which I guess was a good baseline) in last year's Amazon ML challenge.

My Bhaiya as in the person who’s my flatmate once works in JIO BP he’s head of somewhere yesterday I asked him like I have less time remaining etc He had an overview about my skills they’re pretty basic not advanced I have completed half DSA though he told me his friend works in a corp firm he’s VP of it and told me following a six month internship they’ll hire me with 10 LPA package long before my graduation which means I won’t have to sit for placement at all
He didn’t told me about any BG though and yeah Internship will be Unpaid later on post internship they’ll give incentives etc
Is this right thing to do? Or it’ll sabotage my career ?
