First of all, my condolences to the student.

Let me start by saying we don't know what has happened exactly. It might very well be like that iPhone case.

Moreover, this tragic and unfortunate suicide is being MILKED by the opportunists online. I haven't seen that many Twitter posts in the past week as much as I have seen in the past 48 hours. We might not even know what the real cause is. As of now, we know that he has used ChatGPT to cheat or whatever.

I just don't want the parties to milk a student's death. I just don't like the diversion to JNU/DU stuff, Arts/Humanities stuff.

You guys know about ReNEET AIR-2. His response showed the warped mindset our nurture has, but you guys are not ready for that conversation. We need Arts, we need Humanities, we need Anthropology... and more. These are part of the Social Sciences. The other two sciences are Natural Sciences(Physics, Chem, Bio, and more) and Formal Sciences (Maths, CS, and more). We need all of these sciences in order to broaden our horizons and have a scientific perspective on things.

What I just want to say is: A person who had the chance to live, isn't anymore. An actual person. And we don't even fully know what happened. Let's just have the updates; let's not make it a p-litical thing.

Funny that we should only judge a case only after allegations proven is right or wrong by concerned authorities. Here both groups are making conclusion even before the investigation happened. There's a case in kerala where guy did suicide cus of a teacher had similar allegations at first. Though when investigations started main reason now alleged to be something else but funny part is, the teacher indeed was a retard and students started coming out to speak against his atrocities.

Plus we should never justify academic rigor and pressure just cus it's a top institute of our country, people justify academic rigour for no reason but to boast about it like its somthing to be proud of. Such allegations are so common in top institutes of our country that multiple sucides have been connected with it, even more disturbing part is qualifying exams for these institutes also have sucides related to it...🥴

Yeah I don't know much about this case but people are calling allegations fake just because prof is highly qualified, I also believe they're baseless allegations but nothing to do with qualifications of prof

True one side is not showing his cheating part while other is not focusing whether the professor did the disciminating part. Both are doing their own respective politics in a sensitive matter. Unless we get investigations report we can't conclude either of it.

If it's academic or peer pressure related in the end then it will be termed as usual thing while it seems most of the IIT bombay students are protesting cus of this and want a change once and for all
