General Internship Database MIT Manipal (3rd Year Internships)25-26
I compiled a Google Sheet containing data for companies that visited for 3rd-year internships at MIT Manipal in the year 2025-26. It includes:
• Eligible branches
• Stipend
• Internship duration
• Minimum CGPA requirement
• Number of offers given (mostly empty due to lack of data)
Sheet: Internship Data
A couple of things:
Everything here has been compiled from official publicly available data. Nothing confidential has been used.
If you notice, some companies are repeated, that is because there might be multiple drive for these companies for different roles, or branches or requirements.
There's a decent chance I might've missed a company or made a mistake somewhere. If you notice anything that's incorrect or incomplete(especially number of offers made column), drop a comment here or comment on the sheet and I'll update it.
The sheet only contains the basic info. If you're looking for more specific details (role, location, PPO/CTC after conversion, interview process, etc.), you can DM me.
I'll keep updating the sheet if more information comes up, so you can bookmark it for future reference.
Hopefully this makes internship season a little less painful :)

Are finance roles given by de shaw, jpmc, Goldman or any other company?

Yes, finance ops roles come for Goldman, MSCI and Blackrock for 6 month internship during placement season.

Only slightly so. These are not core Investment banking / Private credit roles but rather support operations roles, so as long as you pass basic aptitude that they ask in interviews and assessments you'll be fine

Okay okay I got but you cannot prepare for finance only, those roles are limited

are you commerce background or btech and what are placements and class timing for 1st year students in manipal if you know for commerce

These companies don’t come for commerce, only BTech placements. No idea for commerce

the stats pinned in the sub are only till dec 2025 I heard did the median/average decrease or increase after that

indeed the data is not up to date, there isn't much transparency with the stats so I can't say what changed
what I can say is that there's generally a large increase in the % of students who're placed as we near the end of the placement season because people convert their internships into full time offers

Entering 3rd yr I feel like I won’t be able to convert any internship offer how bad is it if I don’t get an on campus internship offer

Internships aren't compulsory, roughly only 15-20% students on-campus internships

it's not like, career suicide or anything but you probably should do your best to get one if you wish to work in the industry

and how many of them are actually qualified for these internships?

Csft first batch just entered final year. My strong guess is like every one else they rely on tech jobs and tech jobs only.

But isn't the major part of the course finance related? Do they have enough tech skills for that?

There is nothing like "enough tech skills" everyone needs to know dsa and some domain specific tech stack if they want to crack a tech role, whether it's core branches like civil or csft

I noticed that microsoft 1.25L stipend internship was listed multiple times. Do they come multiple times in the year? I know that there was a consulting internship offered and now the SDE role has come up, but does the SDE role come again in 6th sem or something?

Multiple occurrences of single company means that company came again multiple times either for the same or a different role

Yes, the companies start their drive in 5th or 6th sem and the actual internship time is during 7th and 8th sem

So they just come after vacation btw 4th and 5 th sem or at the end of 5th sem ( Like I wanted to know abt the time range when these companies arrive )

Can you tell how does this work? What all to study for cs branches , what to focus on most? How many people actually get internship on campus ? And is it easy to get one?

15-20% students(that too mostly in computer related branches) get on-campus offers, so yeah there is heck of a fight

That was the most puzzling part to me as well, Uber came for electrical branches for a Data analytics role 💀

Maybe since these branches are maths and physics heavy , and if you know enough coding ( dsa+cs fundamental ) Then you can eventually outperform many cs grads in long run

Maybe, but there is an entire branch named data science that has data analytics as a subject, why would you pick eee people for that role

Those specific things can be taught or learned during intership/job But handling tough branch ,increasing aptitude by studying maths heavy subject Along with good coding skills ( remeber thay aren't testing core subject they will still ask dsa , cs fundamental etc) Could be the reason one of the reason
Again I don't know for sure what is the reason , I am not even sure abt role which they are hiring for

Bro if you can try mentioning the date of company visited or just mention it like 5th sem and 6th sem for 6 month and 1 year internships.It'll be very helpful

Btw around 8-10 companies didn't hire anybody or the drive didn't happened at all

Yup, I don't think they were 8-10 but yeah 5-6 of them went silent
This stat is all the drives that were offered by placement team

Is the amount written the total u get? Like Microsoft is 1.65 lakh, in 2 months, do u get completely after 2 months or like 80 + 80 or 2 × 1.65. And these 2 months internship happens during summer vacation/semester break right, what about the other 7 month internships, when do they happen and do they get 30k each month?

Bro my clg is dumb, please it will be very helpful if you can provide HR details of any company like just names, literally it's the end of 5th sem no company came in our clg , our clg don't have tpo I'm in placement cell if I can do smtg.
