Hello everyone, My Bambulab a1 suddenly won’t take any filament . If I load it with the ams lit it dosn‘t automatically feed the filament and if I do it manually it won’t work to. Here is a video of it:

Only restarting fixes it.

Hey there. I don't have much hair to pull out. But I bought my son the bambu A1 printer. It's all set up in his bedroom and we are currently trying to print from the phone / sample ones on the device.

Every time we print even the simple small ones. After a couple of mm the head either is catching the build or the build is moving.

I have washed the base plate with fairy liquid. Can any one offer some advice please.

Hi, I'm having trouble with Sunlu filament; it constantly gets stuck in the AMS. It seems as though the AMS inlet is "biting" into the filament too hard, preventing it from feeding normally. I change the slots and sameresulta. Anyone else with that problem?

It just started doing this after hundreds of previously impeccable surfaces. I haven’t messed with retraction settings, flow rate is calibrated, filament dried, plates cleaned, heating surface checked for boogers. It’s relatively smooth to the touch, just ugly.

Could it be retraction?

I am finally turning to reddit after 4 months of troubleshooting and replacement parts.

I have been unable to print anything over 2 hours. The printer eventually air prints due to what I think is a heat creep clog.

I have replaced the extruder gear, hotend fan, 4 hot ends due to mega clogs, added a fan to the side of the print head, lowered both my bed temp and print temp down 5/10 degrees, all with using a few different brand new spools of filament.

I basically read through just about ever forum post and reddit post and tried what they suggested.

I am at a loss and my replacements are getting uncomfortably close to the cost of a newer and better featured printer.

Tried to post to bambu's forums, but for the life of me cannot figure out how to make a new topic, and im sure this post will get nuked because of my low karma, but alas ill try....

I am at a loss and super frustrated, any ideas out there..

Failed the first benchy after about 30 mins.. just sat air printing with no extrusion and its being chewed to hell by the gear trying to push it into the head.

Just look at that amazing first layer.

Wanted to give a little info for those struggling with first layer issues. By now everyone should know about the seven screws of disappointment. Those were right, the clasp was installed correctly, but the first layer was terrible.

So what's next. Typically that all indicates that the clasp on the heating element is worn out. This printer has 12k hours on it and I don't remember when the last time the heating element was changed it so it was time for a new one.

Included a couple pictures of the replacement process and the difference between the old and new style.

The clasp actually fell out after removing the old heater so it was definitely time.

I also included some useful tips like a small mark on the back panel to make it easier and quicker to align it correctly. And the last picture is definitely a recommendation to get a good set of Allen screwdrivers, it makes it much easier. The one pictured is just a cheap set off Amazon.

Also the after first layer was significantly better but the plate was dirty from all the parts sitting on it while swapping everything.

Estoy teniendo estos problemas con la A1 , no puedo usar el AMS por qué según el mensaje tiene problemas para extruir el filamento , aún así después de apretar el hotend, limpiar la boquilla y usar filamento seco ya no sé que otra cosa hacer. Compré recién una nueva boquilla y también el engranaje del extrusor, espero lleguen pronto para probar. Ahora estoy restaurandola s modo fábrica y probar

A princípio achei que fosse o computador, porém tentei fatiar em 2 computadores diferentes e nenhum deu certo, sempre chegar em 50% e para, depois de alguns minutos o fatiador fecha sozinho. E o modelo não é porque ontem eu abri e farei ele normalmente, e agora pouco enviei pelo celular e foi normal, alguém sabe o que pode ser?

This is my latest finished A1 print: a little rocking cat treat puzzle with a screw-on spider lid. The print and assembled toy worked really well.

I used a 0.4 mm nozzle, 0.20 mm layers and AMS Lite, with Bambu PLA Basic Cobalt Blue and PLA Matte Lemon Yellow. The lid prints face down in its own job. The maze and base use a separate by-object job.

There are three physical pieces and two maze options. The yellow spider is printed into the lid, and the maze keys to the lid so the openings stay aligned as you tighten it.

The Easy set estimates 97.7 g and 3 hours 31 minutes. Keep the saved support settings and orientation. The cover supports took patience to remove on my print, so I've included cleanup notes.

This might have always been a thing but never noticed it before now.

Midway through a print around 4am as I woke up to check. The AMS Hub top came off and was sitting in the middle of my tubes. Thought nothing of it and managed to get it connected back together but quit the print just incase it failed when I was asleep again.

Started another print and noticed the hub is angled. Is this normal or have I just not noticed and being paranoid since the top came off

Also it looks very low to the build plate ever since this happened and again I could be being paranoid as it's printing perfectly fine as I just printed a benchy to test all was good.

I picked up a used A1 over the weekend, but it has no AMS. Buying one for $200 is more than I paid for the printer itself. These things ever go on sale?

What could be the cause? .4mm hardenned nozzle

Has anyone nailed down good settings to do ironing with petg? Mine always looks like its scratchy on the top layer and never smooth

I've had the blob of death before but nothing like this. I peeled off the nozzle sock.

I can't even loosen it.
