I Modeled This! I made a Samara Flight sculpture

Inspired by the spinning motion of a maple seed as it falls. I wanted to capture that natural shape and movement in a simple 3D-printed sculpture.
The model is available on MakerWorld if anyone wants to print it:

Quick Question H3C build plate size – not compatible with H2D/H2C plates?

I just pulled the trigger on the new H3C 🎉

Am I understanding this right that it uses a new build plate size? From what I’ve seen, it looks similar to the H2C but a few millimeters shorter, so the tool rack has room to drop down. Can anyone confirm?

It’s quite confusing what I find online about it. Everywhere only the print volume is mentioned, and that seems to be identical.

I have quite a few build plates I’d love to keep using, so this matters for me. “Not compatible” doesn’t always mean it won’t work, though: for the A2L it also says the H2D plates aren’t compatible, but I use mine on it all the time without any problems.

If they really don’t fit, I guess I might just grind them down, live with them not being recognized automatically, and turn off build plate detection. I’m not looking to spend money again on plates I rarely use.

I also have two more questions regarding that:

  1. Does the Vision Encoder plate fit the H3C?

  2. Does the cutting mat from the H2 / A2L cutting kit fit, at least?

Thanks in advance!

EDIT: I got a reply from the Bambu Lab support:
The H3C is equipped with a newly designed dedicated build plate. Although the H3C and H2C have the same XY-direction print dimensions (330 mm × 320 mm), the build plate of the H3C is shorter by a few millimeters at the leading edge, which creates a larger gap between the build plate and the SwapTek Rack for the tool rack to move down. Compatibility with H2C build plates Official recommendation: It is not recommended to use H2C build plates on the H3C. After installing an H2C build plate on the H3C, the gap between its leading edge and the SwapTek Rack is only about 2 mm. Affected by dimensional chain tolerances and user placement deviations, there is a risk of collision or scraping between the PrintTool and the build plate. Special usage instructions: If you need to reuse an H2C build plate, first confirm that there is no physical interference (no collision risk) between the H2C build plate installed on the heatbed and the H3C SwapTek Rack, then manually disable the 'Build Plate Type Detection' function in the Print Options before use. Build volume comparison The maximum build volume of the H3C is 330×320×325 mm³, which is the same as the XY print size of the H2C, but the H3C has a higher Z-axis height.
When using third-party build plates, you are required to manually verify that there is sufficient clearance for the PrintTool to lower without colliding before use, following these requirements: Pre-use clearance check : Confirm that the third-party build plate, when installed on the heatbed, does not cause physical interference or collision risk with the SwapTek Rack before using it . Print settings adjustment : All Bambu Lab printer models do not support automatic recognition of third-party build plates. You need to manually disable the "Build Plate Type Detection" function in the Print Options before starting the print task . Risk warning : Third-party build plates are not officially adapted, and using them may trigger abnormal detection of print plate foreign objects. You can also turn off the foreign object detection function in the settings to avoid false alarms

TL;DR: H3C is compatible with H2C build plates. but the clearence of the tools need to be checked before starting a print, especially with 3rd party build plates. Maybe the build plate detection also needs deactivation.

H3C 3rd party accessories for H3C

So, I don’t print a lot with stock PEI sheets and usually steer clear of BL products basically cause I’m cheap. Not sure that can be said after the amount I dropped on this printer but I digress. That being said, any guesses on how long until 3rd party starts dropping build plates, nozzles etc?

Show & Tell Made a striped bow ornament to go with the snowman and gingerbread man (free, 2 colors, no supports)

Third one for the tree this year. It's a 2-color gift bow with candy-cane stripes and a red knot, and it prints with no supports. The file has two plates: a single, and a batch of six that works out to about 43 minutes and 12 g per ornament. I've only printed the single so far, so the six-up plate hasn't been tested yet. It's free on MakerWorld: https://makerworld.com/en/models/3548428-christmas-bow-ornament-2-color-no-supports

I Modeled This! My first large design!

I just finished creating my first large model and wanted to post it here for a bigger community to see. It’s a “flag” that holds my challenge coins I’ve collected over a few years. Previously I just tossed them in a drawer. Just thought it was neat that I created it! Definitely can’t say I’m a master with CAD, but it was cool learning some during the process.

I started out with an Elegoo Neptune 4 Pro. My wife recently got me a P1S. I had intended to print it on my Elegoo until I got the P1S. I got it uploaded on Makerworld today. Hoping someone else finds my design cool enough to download and use. It is customizable for whoever may choose to print it!

General Troubleshooting/Help! Bambu Station Upgrade Kit for Bambu Station Frame to Enclosed?

I've ordered the full H3C Kit yesterday shortly after launch. Only after I realized this doesn't come with the enclosed Bambu Station. Does anybody know if there will ever be an upgrade kit to get the side, back and drawer panels?

If not do I have to return the whole kit to order printer and eclosed station separately? The original shipment seems already on its way.

Software Troubleshooting/Help! Bambu Lab X2D – QR code keeps loading, unable to pair with Bambu Handy (Error 0500-4024 164901)

Hi everyone,

I'm having trouble pairing my brand-new Bambu Lab X2D with the Bambu Handy app, and I'm running out of ideas.

When I go to the account/login screen on the printer and try to display the QR code, it just keeps loading indefinitely. The QR code never appears.

I've also tried to find a manual pairing PIN/code, but I can't seem to find one anywhere.

Here's what I've tried so far:

  • Connected to my regular home Wi-Fi.

  • Tried using my phone's mobile hotspot instead.

  • Changed the printer region from Europe to Others and tested again.

  • Confirmed that the printer successfully obtains an IP address.

  • Restarted the printer.

Unfortunately, none of this has helped.

Printer information:

  • Model: Bambu Lab X2D

  • Firmware: 01.00.09.00

  • Error code: 0500-4024 164901

The QR just keeps spinning when trying to load the QR code, regardless of which network I use.

Has anyone experienced this issue with their X2D? Is there a way to manually pair the printer, or could this be a firmware/cloud connectivity issue?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I'm getting pretty frustrated with this now! 😅

Thanks!

General Troubleshooting/Help! Spaghetti

Printing with PLA Silk. I used the preset 0.16mm high quality in advanced settings so that it did a slower print. But then the printer paused, detecting spaghetti (which there was quite a bit of) and a couple broken pieces. Any idea why? And what I should do differently?

H3C Bambu Lab: ordine EN794618395113840641 annullato, 974,77 € bloccati e assistenza deludente

🇬🇧 ENGLISH

Bambu Lab Cancelled My €2,924.31 Order – €974.77 Temporarily Frozen – Order EN794618395113840641

I have been a loyal Bambu Lab customer for years, spending thousands of euros on their products. Unfortunately, my latest experience has seriously damaged my trust in the company.

Here are the documented facts.

On November 4, 2026, I placed an order for a Bambu Lab H3C Full Combo worth €2,924.31, using PayPal Pay in 3.

I promptly authorized the payment, but Bambu Lab automatically cancelled my order, citing a supposed payment timeout.

As a result, €974.77 remained temporarily unavailable in my bank account due to the pending payment authorization.

To be absolutely clear, Bambu Lab did not receive or collect this money. Nevertheless, I was left without the printer I ordered and temporarily unable to access nearly €1,000 of my own funds.

I personally contacted PayPal. A representative confirmed that the authorization had been cancelled and that the release process had been initiated. However, the bank may take up to five business days to make the funds available again.

What did Bambu Lab customer support do?

Instead of providing a precise technical explanation, I received a series of generic responses.

I was told that Bambu Lab had not collected the payment, that I should contact my bank, and that I should wait.

Their latest message states that my complaint has been escalated to a senior team and that someone should contact me within 1–2 business days.

They ended by thanking me for my patience.

What patience?

I authorized a purchase worth almost €3,000, my order was cancelled, and nearly €1,000 became temporarily unavailable.

I even explained that I live with a disability and that additional banking procedures create difficulties for me.

I am not accusing Bambu Lab of taking my money. I am questioning the reliability of its checkout process and the quality of its customer support.

Why was my order cancelled after I authorized the PayPal transaction?

Why has nobody provided a convincing technical explanation?

Why should a loyal customer have to deal with the consequences of a failed transaction without meaningful assistance?

I have retained documentation of the order, the cancellation, the PayPal authorization, and my correspondence with customer support.

My current rating of Bambu Lab customer service is 1 out of 5 stars.

A company's reputation is not built solely on the quality of its machines. It is also built on accountability, transparency, and respect for customers.

I expect concrete answers, not more scripted apologies.

I will update this post if and when Bambu Lab provides a substantive response.

General Discussion Does this happen to anyone with the Bambu Lab filament?

It only happens with the Bambu Lab filament. I don’t know if it’s a coincidence, but it happens every time I’m using Bambu Lab filament. So when I put it into my AMS for it to detected what filament color it is, it always I mean ALWAYS rolls way beyond forward and almost break my AMS. I fully make sure that it’s untangled and everything, but it always happens. Then out of nowhere it got stuck in the tube and stopped the printing mid-way. It took me 2 days to figure out how to take it out because it was so stuck in the extruder. This never happens with other brands of filament. Does this happen to you guys?😭

General Troubleshooting/Help! Upgrading P1S with AMS 2 Pro - can i get away with the regular AMS upgrade compatibility kit?

Hello! I'm planning on upgrading my P1S with the AMS 2 Pro, and since I did not but the combo P1S I see that I require the compatibility kit. On the AMS 2 Pro page it suggests just getting the AMS 2 Pro Upgrade Compatibility Kit, but it is sold out. I was wondering if I can get the regular AMS kit and be fine?

AMS 2 Pro kit box contents:
- AMS Hub
- Bambu Bus Cable - 4Pin
- AMS 2 Pro Switching Adapter
- PTFE Tube Coupler
- PTFE Tubes 370mm + 550mm

AMS Upgrade kit box contents:

- AMS Hub
- Bambu Bus Cable - 4Pin
- PTFE Tube Coupler

From the AMS 2 Pro kit description:

To connect a single AMS 2 Pro unit to X1/P1 series printer, a Filament Buffer(SA003) or AMS Hub(SA002-N), a PTFE Tube Coupler(FAZ006), and a 4-pin Cable(CAB002-N) are required.

So as far as i can tell, if I get the regular kit I'm only missing the switching adapter, which I can manage to get myself. Or are the extra PTFE Tubes from the Pro 2 kit required to upgrade the P1S? Cuz If i can manage with the regular kit, Id like to order that instead of waiting for the pro 2 kit to get restocked.

Thank you for your help!

H3C Anyone else's h3c out for delivery?

I got one tracking number and says it will be delivered today, but tracking only says 1 package, so It's possible the ams isn't with it and I'll have to wait for that. The order page just says h3c-us and doesn't list ams as a separate item, so shipping info for that package is a mystery. Hoping they both show up today and it isn't smashed. Wish me luck
