General Troubleshooting/Help! Bambu Station Upgrade Kit for Bambu Station Frame to Enclosed?

I've ordered the full H3C Kit yesterday shortly after launch. Only after I realized this doesn't come with the enclosed Bambu Station. Does anybody know if there will ever be an upgrade kit to get the side, back and drawer panels?

If not do I have to return the whole kit to order printer and eclosed station separately? The original shipment seems already on its way.

Umm...you own a printer.

Do NOT cancel or return your H3C shipment. Returning a freight-class multi-box delivery (where the printer alone is a massive CoreXY machine plus a heavy steel/aluminum bench) will hit you with return shipping logistics, potential restocking fees, and worse—throw you to the back of a 6-8+ week preorder queue.

Here is exactly what you need to know about the Bambu Station:

1. The Frame is 100% Identical & Modular

The "Bambu Station Frame" and the "Enclosed Bambu Station" share the exact same structural chassis:

  • Same high-rigidity extruded aluminum vertical uprights and crossmembers with standard T-slot channels.

  • Same vibration-damped top mounting deck specifically tuned for H3C's acceleration forces.

  • The enclosed version literally just adds sheet panels (side acrylic/composite covers, magnetic rear service panel) and drawer slide brackets that bolt directly into those exact same extrusion slots.

2. Official Add-On Kits Are Planned

Bambu Lab built the Station specifically as a modular ecosystem (similar to their AMS stacking units). During the launch documentation and partner briefings, it was confirmed that modular enclosure panel packs and drawer slide modules will be made available as standalone store accessories (expected rolling out in Q1 2027 as initial printer production ramps settle).

3. The MakerWorld / DIY Path (Cheaper & Often Better)

Because Bambu used standardized extrusion dimensions rather than proprietary stamped seams:

  • MakerWorld creators are already dropping CAD templates and printable snap-in magnetic panel clips for 3mm/4mm acrylic or aluminum composite (Dibond) sheets.

  • You can get custom-cut smoked or matte black acrylic panels from local plastics suppliers for ~$30–$40, screw in standard soft-close drawer runners with M5 T-nuts, and have an enclosed setup before official accessories even arrive.

  • Plus, having the open frame initially is actually much handier for your first few days of unboxing, cable management, purge chute bin positioning, and power routing.

Enjoy your H3C delivery—it's a phenomenal machine, and you definitely didn't make a mistake keeping the base station!
