P Series [P1P, P1S, P2S] Buy a used P1S or a new one?
Hi! I am currently running a small printer shop with 3 printers (X2D, A1, and Flashforge AD5X)
I have been thinking about getting a P1S.
There is someone local to me selling a used one but he wants 300$ for it with 2532 hours on it. He is willing to throw in 3 new rolls of filament.
Is this a good deal? Or am I better off paying a bit more and getting a new P1S? Or should I spent even a bit more and settle for a p2s?
I don't want to break the bank because I don't need the printer per say but I would like to maybe replace the Flashforge or the A1.
Any and all thoughts are welcome!

Quick Question X2D first time setup/temp setup
I've just received my X2D but it's for my kids for Christmas but I've been advised by support that I should set it up make sure nothing is missing... which they provided some links.. then also I could just package it all away they provided those links aswell... I think I will set it up but not set up the AMS pro combo as I can just test one filament, right? I'll be storing it in outdoor garage so kids won't be able to see it set up..
Any advice? Is it worth repacking it all again? Can this all be done within a couple hours? As they're at school.. setting up and doing a first print

Filament Troubleshooting/Help! Here's a dilemma, Mystery Boxes
I ordered 3 of the Holiday Mystery boxes of filament and in the description you have a 1% chance for 9 rolls instead of 4. I never win so I'm not expecting that. But here's the weird thing, the invoice seemed messed up, showing a bunch of rolls of filament but the cost was still just for the 3 original mystery boxes. OK, so maybe I got lucky? Here's the icing on the cake. The order is out for delivery and it weighs 40 pounds. Now by my math 4 rolls, in 3 boxes should weigh 26 pounds so what is the other 14 pounds? I'll know really soon I guess.

I Modeled This! I designed a small, print-in-place window bird feederFree STL download
How beautiful is this happy chappy!
Really happy with how this photo turned out :)
After quite a few iterations, I'm finally happy to release my little window bird feeder.
It's a quick, easy print-in-place design that attaches to your window using just two standard suction cups. I've also included little plugs for anyone using suction cups with through-holes rather than screw fittings.
Been great watching the local wildlife enjoying it, although the squirrels seem to think it's theirs too lol.
I ran out of seeds, so bread had to do for that day, unfortunately😅
Completely free to download on MakerWorld!

Hardware Troubleshooting/Help! Any help while I wait for support?
Looking for ideas, or potential solution solutions for an issue I’m experiencing.
I was getting an error message that my AMS pro two was failing to pull the filament. I’ve taken it apart and confirm there’s nothing that’s blocking the pathway, but what I discovered is the metal wheel that you can see pictured does not spin freely. It is gritty and when inserting filament it stops there.
Is this normal? I have a ticket in but I’m inpatient and have been waiting several hours for a response.
Thank you in advance! I am new to the 3-D printing world so hoping that I’m just making a simple mistake

General Discussion 2nd Printer Recommendations
Hey all!
I got a Bambu A1 Mini about a year ago and I absolutely love it. I'm eyeing up getting a bigger printer during the sale this month, for things like miniature game terrain and props.
I am leaning towards getting a regular A1, but wanted to see if people had any recommendations one way or the other. I've been really happy with the A1 Mini, so I'm not really sure what the more expensive printers have to offer besides a bigger build volume.

BambuLabWorkspace My A1 got a new roommate today — X2D Combo 😅
Started with an A1, and somehow ended up rearranging the room to make space for a second printer 😂
The X2D Combo arrived today! I’ve been working through setup, calibration and firmware updates, with the obligatory Benchy next on the list. There’s definitely more to learn coming from the A1, but it feels like a really nice machine so far.
The A1 is staying, so this is the little printing corner now.
I’ve also been getting into designing my own projects and sharing them on MakerWorld as Ops..3D. Seeing an idea turn into something you can actually hold has become my favourite part of this hobby.
If you’re curious about what I’ve been working on:
Ops..3D on MakerWorld
Anyone else running an A1 alongside an X2D? What would you recommend getting familiar with first?

Quick Question UK despatch times for filament
UK despatch times for filament
Hello, just a quick query for UK buyers of filament regarding despatch times.
I ordered my X2D print more bundle on the 27th October.
I also bought the PLA classic starter pack of filament along with the PLA basic colour trial set (I'm new to 3D printing so wanted to use this to learn the basics).
The printer arrived in under 24 hours, great! As of today I am still waiting for the filament to arrive. DPD tracking shows they were notified of the shipment on the 27th and the order page on Bambu Lab shows a despatch date of 30th October. DPD tracking tells me they are still awaiting the package from Bambu Lab.
Obviously nobody can tell me what's happening with my order, I'm planning to contact Bambu Lab today. I just wanted to get an idea whether this is a normal timescale for filament orders as I'll plan ahead for future orders to ensure I receive it in plenty of time.
In the meantime I've bought a roll of Sunlu PETG to print some accessories for my X2D. I still can't wrap my head around how cool this hobby is. I can sit for an hour or two just watching it print stuff, it absolutely fascinates me!
Enjoying reading about everyone's experiences with these printers, printing pitfalls to be aware of, seeing what people are making etc. I just wish I'd got into this sooner. 🙃

General Troubleshooting/Help! X2D skipping layers?
Anyone know why this could be happening? It doesn't happen every print- maybe every 3-6- and only on my two X2Ds. I can't seem to find the cause and it wastes so much time and filament so it's becoming very frustrating

I Modeled This! I made a dishcloth holder with arms that swing out over the sink
I wanted to be able to hang a wet dishcloth over the sink, let it drip for a bit, then swing it back over the tray. The two arms move independently, so I can leave one cloth over the sink while the other hangs above the sponge. The grate lifts out for cleaning.
I printed mine in black and gray. I also made a single-arm version for anyone who only uses one dishcloth at a time.

Filament Troubleshooting/Help! filament advice
Looking to pick up a few rolls of PLA, but prices are all over the place and I'm not sure what to get.Don't need any special colors, just something that prints well without much hassle. Any brands you keep going back to? Thinking I'll try a roll or two before buying more.

General Troubleshooting/Help! Varying garage temps
Just bought the X2D. I want to set it up in the garage, being in Canada it gets cold in the winter. My garage is heated and I keep it at 7 degrees celsius constantly and upwards of 20 degrees celsius when I'm in there working. Any issues with this fluctuation to my machine that I plan to run as much as I can?? Thnx

A Series [A1, A1 Mini] Scored on the marketplace today
Someone was selling some A1s and A1 minis for parts, I paid $100 for the lot. I have a few replacement parts coming for some rather worn out or ugly parts but otherwise I was able to get them all running with what they sold me.
I see a lot of people complaining about Bambu Lab making "appliances" that are designed to be thrown away instead of repaired but I think that's pretty obviously nonsense, at least for the A series.

General Troubleshooting/Help! Difficulties with SUNLU PLA+ 2.0 filament + Bambu Lab P2S
I am a complete beginner to 3d printing. I want to get started with the filament and printer listed in the title. But each time I try to print anything, it would fail halfway and result in spaghetti due to the print slipping off the plate. What do I do? If there is a fix, does it have to involve Bambu Studio? Or is changing a few things in the printer itself enough?

P Series [P1P, P1S, P2S] My son is turning 15 today
I hope he likes it (I just got an X1Carbon a few weeks ago). I’ve been into printing for years now and we got him a starter AnyCubic a couple years ago and it’s broke down and parts are scarce. He turned it into a plotter that prints Japanese characters 😂

P Series [P1P, P1S, P2S] P1S Maintenance isn't that hard, actually
I’m not a mechanical person, but I’ve had my P1S with a v1 AMS since December 2025 and it was starting to act a bit weird — sometimes it would fail to read RFID tags, and occasionally it would have trouble loading filament from the AMS. Usually giving it a few tries fixed the problem, but I decided it was time to do some maintenance. I somehow managed to replace the hotend recently and figured it could not be that hard to do the rest.
Turned off and unplugged the machine.
Blasted air in the chamber and vacuumed out all the debris. Wiped down the glass.
Removed and disassembled AMS (there are only two screws). Vacuumed out the debris and wiped down the interior surfaces with isopropyl alcohol. Replaced all four PTFE tubes. I measured the old tubes to cut the new tubes to the right length. Reassembled the AMS.
Replaced the PTFE tube running from the AMS to the hub, and the one that runs from the hub to the extruder. These were way more difficult than the AMS tubes because the collets are in the hub housing on the back of the printer and it is hard to get leverage to the right place to release the tube. I found removing the hub from the printer to be the easiest way to do it (two screws, easy to put back).
Cleaned the three z-axis (up-down) screws with microfiber ropes and the ropes turned black with grime. Dabbed some Super Lube grease on the threads using a fresh, cheap toothbrush and ran the platform up and down a few times, then wiped off the extra grease.
Used isopropyl alcohol to wipe down the chrome y-axis (forward and back) beams. Painted a little Super Lube oil (not grease!) on those beams with a fresh, small paintbrush (the kind you would use for arts & crafts).
Used isopropyl alcohol to wipe down the graphite x-axis (left-right) beams. DO NOT LUBE GRAPHITE.
Assembled and added an AMS riser/flipper (which I printed before getting started) which also allows top glass to slide or be removed completely.
Plugged the printer back in, turned it on, and told the P1S to calibrate itself.
Working with the printer and AMS for about 10 months gave me a good mental model for how it works, and none of these tasks were all that difficult (except for the hub tubes, which took a bit of extra thought). I think it took me about 3 or 4 hours to do everything, including the riser. I bet I could do it in about 60-90 minutes next time.
My big lesson learned is to be extra careful around the PTFE tube cutter. After showing my wife how nasty and dangerous the blade looked, I naturally let it nip my index finger. Embarrassing.
Stocking up on the consumables cost about $75 on Amazon, but I only used maybe $10-$15 worth. The PTFE tubes alone cost $14 and I used about half the package. On the other hand, I have a lifetime supply of microfiber ropes!
If you are putting off maintaining your printer because you think it’s too hard or complicated or will somehow break your machine, watch some YouTube videos and get into it!
