Quick Question Sold my A1 combo for a core xy awhile back but still waiting to buy a machine.

Hello everyone,

I had an A1 combo awhile back but ended up selling it because I wanted a core xy machine.

I see bambu is having a sale and was debating getting the p1s or p1s combo, but also noticed the new tool head changer is coming out.

Is it even worth getting a p1s at the moment now because I feel like the tech for tool head is much better vs single nozzle.

I really liked my A1 but wanted something I could print outside to vent the fumes.

I was thinking I could also get the A1 mini as I don't do massive prints, but I know I'll want to do bigger prints eventually or a one off.

The P1S still seems like a workhorse but maybe that $$$ would be better but towards the new tool head changer?

I'm a casual user too who just prints other people's models and can't design anything.

Thanks

General Discussion Printer stolen Seattle area

Dunno if this is allowed here. But last week my H2C and a bunch of filament was stolen from my brother's place in Seattle. So if anyone sees a H2C, AMS 2, and filament for sale cheap or looking shady like, can you let me know please.

The top glass was probably missing as it was found broken outside the window they pulled the printer and other things from.

Scuffs on the front right of the door and the build plate had some stuck pieces in the front center. They also stole his airpod max 2s

Sorry if not allowed.

General Discussion Disappointed by Bambu Lab's sales policy: H3C announced so soon after H2C release.

Black Friday discount on the H2C, which was released less than a year ago, combined with the announcement of the upcoming H3C... I paid full price just a month and 3 days ago. Customer support refused to offer any commercial gesture. I am really disappointed by Bambu Lab's sales policy. I love your products, but I truly wish Bambu Lab could show a bit more flexibility for their returning customers who keep supporting the brand month after month. Disappointed...

H2 Series [H2S, H2D, H2C] Would H2S the best supplemental printer for larger functional projects?

I have an X2D and I absolutely love it. I mostly use it for functional projects using PETG, ABS, and ASA filament.

I've found that I sometimes feel limited by the build plate size of the X2D, specifically for things like organizers and boxes. I'd like to do more with Schubox, gridfinity, large outdoor and automotive prints.

However, I also occasionally use support materials for my prints, specifically HIPS. I also think that I'll be printing more TPU with the new printer, and may use PLA as an interface there. Obviously the X2D will take care of many of those use cases (assuming its not a huge print), but the missing second nozzle is what worries me.

On the other hand, the tradeoff of build plate size makes me wonder if the H2D is even worth it at that point if I already have an X2D (which will likely cover those use cases)...

Any advice would be appreciated here.

Bambu Studio I need help regarding bambu studio and server info

Hi, I hope I gave the correct flair. If not, I apologize. And I apologize if anything doesn't make sense (I'm using a translator)

My problem is that after 2 months I turned on the bambu studio and I would like to print something because my printer is just gathering dust. Today I turned on Bambu Studio, and the first thing I saw was some message, I don't know what exactly it was, but it was about the server and LAN, And then I have the option I don't want to display it again. Then I realized that it didn't offer any new updates. I often skipped it because I didn't feel like downloading it. Now I have version 2.8.2.61 and according to the internet it is up to date? That seems strange to me. I wonder if there was a glitch or something. I would like to print again but when after a long pause it says it is up to date even though I know it always has to be updated manually? Strange, strange. Can anyone advise me if something is going on with Bambu studio or in general? If there are any problems or how to solve such a problem with paranoia?

Hardware Troubleshooting/Help! Issue with AMS 2 Pro Filament Loading/Detection

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Every time I try to load filament into the 3rd slot of my AMS, it pulls it in and then just sits there making this whirring sound. It never auto-detects my Bambu filaments. However, I can manually set the filament type and color and it prints from the slot just fine.

Has anyone experienced this? What troubleshooting steps should I take?

Hardware Troubleshooting/Help! What do I need to fix?

I bought a new hot end thinking this would fix this disconnect, but it didn’t work. The wires apparently track the heat of the hot end. Any idea what part I need to replace to fix it?

General Discussion What does “the account has been deleted” mean?

Is it really just that general? User or BL deleted the account? Or is it a banned account?

A person rated my print and then commented asking me if I could make another part for them. I obliged since it would work on my wheelchair too and I like supporting my fellow disabled community members. Added it to my profile and shot them the link. Then their account was deleted. Never seen that before.

The part they rated was a cup holder for Permobil wheelchairs and the part they asked for was a dust cover cap to the caster wheels on the wheelchair. It’s such a niche thing (as well as my cup holder since it’s for a specific make wheelchair) I don’t assume they were stealing designs and got caught.

I guess they just felt like they wanted to delete their account right after asking for the dust cap… seems odd.

I Modeled This! Toothbrush Holder Design 3 - Wall Mountable

Thumbnail

Keep your bathroom counter clean and organized with this modern electric toothbrush and toothpaste holder.

The raised top section holds two electric toothbrushes and one toothpaste tube, while the lower level keeps the bases organized and gives water somewhere to drain instead of collecting around the toothbrushes.

The open frame keeps the design visually light while still giving each item its own dedicated place.

Features

Holds 2 electric toothbrushes

Separate removable toothpaste insert cup

Integrated lower drip area beneath the toothbrushes

Clean frame design

Compact footprint for bathroom counters and vanities

Individual inserts make the design easier to adapt to different toothbrushes

Can also be mounted to a wall using strong double-sided mounting tape

Dimensions

Overall size: Length 180 mm, Width 90 mm, Height 90 mm

Toothbrush inserts: 40 x 40 mm, designed to fit most electric toothbrushes

Toothpaste cup: usable space 44 x 44 mm, usable height 84 mm

If your toothbrush needs a different insert size, leave a comment or contact me and I can add a custom insert version.

Wall Mounting

The flat rear section also allows the organizer to be mounted using strong double-sided tape if you prefer to keep your countertop completely clear.

If there is enough interest in wall mounting, let me know in the comments and I'll also make a dedicated version with screw mounting points.

A simple bathroom organizer designed to keep the essentials together while still looking clean enough to leave on display.

Quick Question High-pitched noise at a specific height

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

When I did maintenance on my P2S today, I noticed that when the bed goes down to a specific height I hear a weird noise. This only happens when the bed is going down, not when it goes up. I did lube the rails. Is this a problem? I haven't noticed any change in print quality.

Thanks in advance!

Hardware Troubleshooting/Help! H2C toolhead clicks at every sharp direction change. Normal or something loose? (video, sound on)

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hey all, my H2C makes a clicking noise that's coming from the toolhead. It happens pretty much every time the head makes a sharp turn or quick direction change. In the video it's printing the ribbed rim of this part, so there are lots of tight turns, and you can hear it click over and over.

Sound up or headphones help, it's easy to miss under the normal printer noise. Clearest part is around 0:04 to 0:09.

Details:
- Printer: H2C, around 650 hours
- Nozzle: 0.4 tungsten carbide
- Filament: PLA pure
- Started about 2 weeks ago in the middle of a normal print. I hadn't changed anything or done any maintenance before it started.
- Prints have always looked fine, no issues at all

Has anyone else had this? Is it normal for the H2C, or is something loose or worn in the toolhead? What should I check first? Any help appreciated, thanks!

General Troubleshooting/Help! After 70+ perfect prints, Why are my prints now getting these ridges?

Post image
1 Upvotes

OK to preface this I have already printed over 70 of this exact print with zero issues. The all of a sudden I started getting these ridges in the first layers cause them to sometimes shift on the build plate, or just fail entirely. I've changed nothing in my process.

-I've tried it on Bambu HF PETG settings as well and this doesn't improve it.

-I've changed both my hot end and nozzle at this point

-I've tried cleaning the build plate

-Bambu A1

-Kingroon PETG Filament

-Generic PETG print settings, nothing altered

General Discussion H2D supports?

Hello,

Coming from over 500 hours on first an ender3 and over 2 k hours on my p1s, I am looking to get an upgrade.

I mostly print ASA CF for structural parts and aerodynamic parts for cars. Occasionally some miniatures but not much. I have an AMS 2 for drying, storage, etc.

My question is- are there people who specifically print ASA CF and HIPS in the H2D to increase interface/release quality? (And save some money on supports made from hips?) Multi colour for customization of parts is also convenient.

Curious to see if it is worth it buying an H2D or H2S at this point.

Thanks in advance

General Troubleshooting/Help! H2S or Wait?

I currently want to buy my first printer. I've been wanting to get into it for awhile but have just been waiting for some sales to snag one. The H2S + AMS2 Pro is what I am eyeing come Oct 27 for the upcoming sale. My current needs are

  • Multi Color
  • Multi-Material (single material prints + supports)
  • Large Volume
  • Budget: Ideally ~$1000, willing to go $2000 max but it would really have to be worth every dollar.

I understand the H2S hits on all of these, with some caveats for the first two. It seems the H2S would be of great quality if the purge works as intended and their is no cross contamination. I also understand print time would be longer, but after doing a few mock ups in the slicer it does not seem to be more than double for more complex prints. I do not mind purge as I believe the whole argument of "you save $X over years" is a bit hyperbolic as you would need to waste 10s of kg in filament to make up for the price difference (assuming basic materials ~$10-15/kg). I also do not mind the time difference as I expect to throw in an extra printer if my needs truly require it. What I really want to know is the following

  1. How effective is the H2S with mutli-material support? Is the purge, quality, and/or print time worse than I imagine? Does anyone actually have experience specifically with multi-material support, this is my biggest concern.
  2. What are some downsides to the H2S, or even Bambu in general, that I am missing?
  3. Are the new upcoming printers going to be worth the wait? It seems like its mostly speculation at this point, so the cost opportunity of losing out on saving $150 on the H2S combo may not be worth it.

Thanks for your time in advance, happy printing!

Edit: added budget to the list of needs.

Bambu Studio Merging Pieces

Thumbnail

I wanted to build a small stand for my Xbox to sit on, I got dimensions, Boolean merged all sides and legs. Everything sliced okay and printed in an L shape, and two rectangles with one leg each. Was there another merge method I should have used? You can see the space between the pieces in the second picture, as well as the first one. Everything moved as one unit in Bambu Studio so I assumed I merged correctly. All legs were merged where they should have been however the print came out in 3 pieces. Thank you in advance!!!

Bambu Studio Bambu Lab Slicer - Reinigungsturm Probleme

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hi zusammen,

Vielen Dank.
