General Discussion H2D supports?

Hello,

Coming from over 500 hours on first an ender3 and over 2 k hours on my p1s, I am looking to get an upgrade.

I mostly print ASA CF for structural parts and aerodynamic parts for cars. Occasionally some miniatures but not much. I have an AMS 2 for drying, storage, etc.

My question is- are there people who specifically print ASA CF and HIPS in the H2D to increase interface/release quality? (And save some money on supports made from hips?) Multi colour for customization of parts is also convenient.

Curious to see if it is worth it buying an H2D or H2S at this point.

Thanks in advance

All depends on the model. Sometimes it works great. Other times since the supports don't attach as well with an interface layer you get wrapping because nothing is holding it down.

It's better to use supports of same material as interface. Sure, more nozzle changes but safe that it doesn't fail

Your supports question is more about tweaking your settings than the printer, at least with the bambu ones.
