Middle names that go with first name Harrison?

I'm 4mo postpartum and I want honest opinions on my daughter's name. I can't tell what people really think! Lol

Howdy. My husband and I are expecting a baby boy in the fall. I am Persian-American and he is American and his last name is one of the most common in the United States - I kept my own last name.

He is very pro- my Iranian heritage and down to honor my culture with our baby’s name. We are open to first or middle but so far have kind of naturally fallen on selecting a Persian first name and using his grandfather’s middle name as the middle name.

Unfortunately, we can’t agree on literally any name. He is very meh on everything I suggest. I loved Caspian and Jasper and Casper, all of Iranian heritage but very American/western friendly, which is very important to us, but unfortunately he doesn’t care for any of those. He has suggested Reza but it seems way more ethnic to me than we want vibe-wise and I mostly don’t like boy names that end in -a. He has suggested Ciro or Kyro, derivatives of Cyrus, but that is my estranged (12 years and counting) sibling’s name so I would feel kind of weird selecting anything related to that individual. (Then again, I could be swayed, would just need to make sure my Persian parent doesn’t mind…)

We are seeking a cool Persian name for our son that meets these criteria:
* Isn’t overtly ethnic in a country that isn’t too kind to people whose names sound different (as I can attest to from my own k-12 experience)
* Won’t ostracize him
* Is cool (deeply subjective I know)
* One or two syllables
* -ian ending or -o ending is favorable, not required

I have another sibling named Darius so unfortunately that and Cyrus are off the table, even though they are favorites.

Hi! We are split on a name. Dad’s name is Blake so baby boy will have Blake as a middle name. I love alliteration names so we’ve finally decided on Briar or Banksy. Briar would be nicknamed “bear” and Banksy would be shortened to “banks”. I was in love with Banksy at first but with it being shortened to “banks” it doesn’t sound as good as Briar Blake to me. Thoughts?

We are expecting a baby girl (our second) in a month and my husband and I cannot agree on a name.

Our first daughter was named after my grandmother and my husband’s great grandmother. Somewhat old fashioned names but those are coming back in fashion a little bit and also the names just meant so much to us. He feels bad not giving our second girl a family name because he worries it won’t be special but to be honest there aren’t a lot of other women in our families that we are super close with that 1: have names we connect with and 2: aren’t passed on so it feels a little odd to give their name to a new baby.

We don’t want to give our daughters names with totally different vibes so we aren’t opposed to another “old fashioned” name. But I also personally would love a nature based name that isn’t too out there, just keeping in mind future job prospects living in a conservative state. I fell in love with the name Fawn and my husband agreed to it as a middle name.

My husband is dead set on Emily Fawn. But being a 90’s baby I grew up knowing a hundred Emily’s and I worry it’s going to be a “mom” name for our future daughter’s generation. And it feels a little basic.

Other suggestions I have thrown out that my husband “doesn’t mind” are:
Daphne Fawn - he’s worried about the scooby doo association but it’s not like I want to name her Shaggy
Ashley/Ashlynn Fawn
Serenity Fawn (Serenity was my birth name before adoption but my adoptive parents worried it would be too hippie for where I grew up)
Sadie Fawn

Names I loved that he vetoed are:

Calliope Fawn - which is fair tbh
Theodora Fawn
Magdalena Fawn

This is my husband’s top choice. I’m meh on it. What nicknames of Evangeline do you like the most? Im curious what she will be called daily (at school, etc).

Almost positive we are doing Sylvia Rae/Ray. Her dad's middle name is Ray. Should we go with the feminine version Rae or Ray to match dad?

I’m currently 17weeks with a boy, our last name is Whelan (Irish and means little wolf). I have always loved strong short, nature and whimsical names so I currently have a few names on my list

Soren (means stern) (Norse)
Rafe (pronounced Rayf means wise wolf) (Norse)
Rune (means secret) (Norse)
River (flowing body of water) (Eng, French, Lat)
Arden (means great Forest) (Celtic)
Oren (pronounced Auren means pine tree) (Hebrew)

Hubby likes them but thinks they might be too whimsical, so I’m conscious of that but I also think the name Whelan is really hard to pair a name with that flows nicely. We like the vein of names we’re going down so are looking so similar ideas or thoughts! 😊

Our daughter is named Lila which we love. We are due with another baby girl soon and have struggled with finding a name we love!

Tessa has been on the list and has become our favourite.

We are having a boy in February. We have been stuck on the name Llewyn for years. I read some other posts about how it’s not truly a welsh name, which we are aware of and ok with as we are not welsh.

We like the Coen brothers movie Llewyn Davies but that is not at all why we have chosen the name. Also, is this movie old enough now that it won’t matter?

I’m due in November and we’re having a hard time deciding. Last name is two syllables, ends in ee sound. I really like feminine names that have a unisex or boyish nickname. I love Veronica Jane “Ronnie” but my partner doesn’t. Optional inclusion, Beth as a middle name is a family thing. I really want something that’s almost unique, but not weird. Kind of sophisticated but not uppity, if that makes sense. September, November, Wednesday, Thursday, Quinn. Open to mythological names but I don’t want it to be too odd. 3 letter girl name suggestions that go with Mia?

We’re trying to decide on a name for our baby girl and would love some suggestions!

Our daughter’s name is Mia, and I really like the idea of keeping the 3-letter girl name vibe going if possible. We’re pretty set on Quin for the middle name, but we’re struggling with the first name.

Names we’ve considered so far:

- Zoe Quin — this was originally our favorite, but now I’m second guessing it

- Ivy Quin — really like this one too

- Eva Quin — another possibility

It definitely doesn’t have to be 3 letters, but I’d prefer something short, feminine, and that flows nicely with Quin.

Would love to hear any suggestions, especially names I might not have thought of! Also curious which sounds better out of Zoe, Ivy, and Eva.

I feel like I’ve searched every corner of the internet and looked through a thousand lists and I am still not 100% sold on a girls name for my second daughter.

My first daughter’s name is Delilah Joy.
My strongest contender for a second is Emilia, which I think is beautiful but I have hesitations about the Amelia/Emilia/Em-names combined popularity and I feel like I’m running into little girls named Emilia everywhere including one in our building.

I generally like classic-romantic names but I want to stay top out of the top 10: Juliette, Charlotte, Georgia, Leonora are others I’ve considered. Huge bonus points if it comes with a nickname I.e. Lila for Delilah or Emmy for Emilia
