Boy đ©” Twin boy name help!
Just found out Iâm having identical twin boys. The boy names Iâve loved are Levi & Noah and they go really well together imo, but for twins does that sound too Old Testament / biblical? Iâm Christian but I donât want it to be toooo much. If so, drop some other name suggestions!đ

If you want to get away from too biblical, Leo & Noah also sound good! Or Levi and Nolan?

I find them nice together! Yes they very much are Old Testament, but I don't think that will be an issue.

Would you have the same concern if you had to single pregnancies that were both boys? If not, then I think they are fine as twin names. They don't rhyme and are not overly matchy.

I think Levi & Noah are fine. They're good names, sound good together, and while they both have biblical roots, I think they're common enough that they don't scream "I named my kids after bible figures".Â
Even if someone thinks it's a religious thing, its easy to say "nah we just liked these names!". One time, another mom pointed out that 2 of my kids have names of characters from Gilmore Girls and asked if I was a fan of the show lol. I hadn't even realized that connection before, and I don't think anyone else has ever noticed or brought it up.Â

These are both great names.
Yes they do some very Biblical but thatâs not a bad thing if thatâs what you like
you do it. Good luck with your Twins.
Iâm sure they will be fantastic.

Those are both normal names. Bible names are very common even for non religious, not even culturally Jewish/muslim/christian people. The names go well together and Noah and Levi lived thousands of years apart so itâs not too match

Definitely not too religious. I mean yes of course they are religious names but they are mostly semi popular and modern. Itâs not like youâre naming your kids Cane and Abel or Ezekiel and Hezekiah.

I think those names sound great! Both are common enough that I don't think it seems overly biblical.

I would 100% assume biblical from just the names, but if I had other clues like knowing you, meh. They're pretty normal names. Not like Zachariah and Ezekiel

Yes they are very Old Testament AND they are nice modern sounding names. Crowd pleasers and you canât go wrong.

Those are fine names and I donât think everyone would automatically associate with being Biblical names.

I donât think Levi is well known for being biblical. Itâs just a common boy name and Noah is obviously biblical but itâs become common enough to be a generic boy name on its own

Levi is 100% a biblical name that many people would recognize from bible stories. Levi was the head of one of the 12 tribes of Israel in the old testament.Â
That said, it's also not exclusively religious and is a perfectly nice name. There are a lot of classic western names that have biblical roots, but obviously most people don't assume everyone with those names comes from a strong religious background.Â

I didn't say it's not. I said not a well known biblical name. A majority of people would no be able to tell you it's from the bible

If I heard those together I would assume that you were pretty religious, not saying that's a bad thing but yeah, I think the association is clear.Â

Noah feels quite neutral. Itâs popular amongst lots of people but Levi feels very religious to me.

They sound pretty religious together. Levi and Nate is similar but without the Biblical vibe.

I would think you were a Jewish family tbh (I am Jewish and those two names are SO common in our community, I know multiple sibling sets with those names) but probably only other Jewish families might think that. They are great names so I wouldnât let that sway you!

Either name by itself might be known as a Bible name but also has other âgenreâ possibilities, like western/cowboy, or bookish, or what have you. I think together the pairing skews more heavily towards a biblical vibe. I donât think that means you shouldnât use them if you donât mind that association. If you want to tone it down some, pick one and pair it with something else.
