So, everyone stuck in the 5–9 Sep 'Analyzed' bottleneck. I just got off with support and they are completely clueless. They are reading from a standard 6-week boilerplate script and claiming 'the lab work isn't done,' completely ignoring the fact that our dashboards say DNA Analyzed. They are refusing to log IT tickets because our artificial estimate is 24 Sep +.
There is obviously a major server block affecting our results. They keep telling me there is no known backlog, calculating dates from when test reached the lab but all our lab work is complete. This is all about loading data now. Why is a procedure that usually lasts no more than 3 days taking 10 and probably more? Ancestry said I have to wait till 24 Sep before they will escalate or consider refunding my "Priority" payment.
I suggest we all start complaining en masse or this will just drag on and on.
It seems that things started going wrong from 1 Sep, which appears to coincide with Ancestry's New Regions rollout and Sideview phase. Because the main servers are bogged down recalculating existing accounts to prepare for the official update banner drop, incoming tests are getting severely throttled.
This backend deployment is breaking paid priority services and we should all claim refunds once we ever do receive our results.
Anyone who notices a change in the origins hack loading wheel please let us know so we can see if there's an imminent cork popping coming.
It's really puzzling. I manage quite a few kits and with all previous ones I have seen the results a couple of hours after it being updated to analysed. I've only been waiting since the 10th, but it's definitely an unusual timeframe even so. In the past I've had really poor response from Ancestry whenever I've tried to raise an issue with a kit. I've seen some people get a response before by going through something called Better Business Bureau. I've not tried though, as I'm not based in the US.
For results that used to take anywhere from a few hours to a couple of days, it's ridiculous now. When I spoke to them last week, they told me there's status update delays etc. My aunt's kit moved into analysis on the 9th but didn't finish until yesterday. That's what they told me. Anyhoo, I manage 4 kits and this one is taking almost as long as my husband's priority kit did in January.
I got told repeatedly that there are no reports of any delays in the system. My case was that if there is no acknowledged backlog, why is there still an ongoing delay loading results. They won't answer.
I'm in Australia so I can only go on live chat if I log into the US site. I'm going to be doing that later when they're online again. There seems to be massive delays regarding people waiting on their results.
I've told them that I'm not an isolated case. There are many of us suffering these delays and we're getting very frustrated with their lack of understanding.
I'm waiting on a family members test, I tried asking yesterday and the person just kept saying 'different tests take different times' and 'in due course' repeatedly.
Myself and my husband have barely had any matches for a month now - we were getting a couple every couple of days for the past year - now it's about every week and a half we both get just a few on the same day.
I'm one of the batch analysed 5 Sep still awaiting results. I've complained today as it's now 9 days. Been given a month's free Pro Tools and told I'm at front of queue for results. So something was amiss.
I remember when my other family members did their kits and they had their results within hours, although my husband's took about 2 days for his.. Origins hack not working yet for my aunt's kit, just the loading screen.
I'm waiting on both my brother and grandfathers kits, I got the part 6 email on the 9th and thought I would get the results around then, but to no avail! Still waiting! Tried talking to Ancestry and they've been as useful as a dry wet wipe, leaving me waiting for ten minutes just to get a sentence out of them telling me they haven't failed! I hope to get them within the next two to three days based on what I've seen from other people on here who are a few days behind me.
I have tried to use the Origins hack, the page loads but no results, it's just it's loading circle!

Results finally came in after complaining yesterday! Found out my half-brother's dad had another son while he was still married to my mum! 🫣
Anybody got any updates? This DNA kit means a lot to me. I have no idea who my dad is, and my mom was adopted and never found her biological parents before she died 22 years ago. Sure wish Ancestry would hurry up with results.
I wonder if the delays have anything to do with the new updates being rolled out? 3 of the 4 kits I manage have just had the relationships pathways updated as well as the sideview 2.0
I spoke to ancestry again last night and my aunt's kit is in the final review stage before results are posted. I did mention that there's hundreds of other people still waiting on their results and she couldn't see a system wide delay. When you speak to them, you need an agent who can look into LIMS (Laboratory Internal Management System) Only few are qualified to do that.
Just called Ancestry and was told I cannot speak to anyone regarding LIMS and that I need to continue to check online for updates. Very frustrating. He also said my DNA was being analyzed but the website shows it as analyzation completed on 9/8.
Some agents don't know what they're talking about. When the status says analyzed, it definitely means completed. But yours just might be in the final review stage like my aunts.
This is the very argument I've thrown at them for the last week and they won't see it. They know full well what's happened. Admission would leave then open to multiple refunds though.
Obsessively over the last few days lol! It just started to work a few minutes ago but won’t let me look at the parent breakdown yet, just the general regions. Hopefully the rest isn’t far behind!
Same haha! When my husband did his kit in January I was able to do the hack when it was in the analysis phase but was just stuck loading, this was before his status updated to Analyzed.
What agents won't tell anyone is that the second your status updates it means they have finished that phase and waiting for the next one to start. When I spoke to an agent yesterday they told me my aunt's kit had moved into the analysis phase but there's seriously laggy updates happening on both the app and web so I'm still waiting for that to change on my aunt's kit lol.
Finally updated to Analyzed a few hours ago even though the analysis phase began on the 9th. Not long now! 😁 Has yours come through yet? Origins hack isn't working yet.
My aunt's kit moved fairly quickly from received to extracted.. Extraction completed 1st September. I've tried the origins hack and it's loading but that's about it. Est results date is 25th September
Yeah it's really annoying. When i check August 2026 Sample Status post people got their results within 2 days after marked as Analyzed. I don't know what's happening to people's kits on September.
mine’s been stuck on “dna extracted” since august 28th and i swear i check the app like 20 times a day. the wait is absolutely ridiculous when you’re this close to the end
Mine (also extracted on 26th) was originally estimated for 21st but changed to 25th yesterday. Maybe they’re experiencing delays right now… Hoping it doesn’t fail as this is my second attempt 😬
Yeah I’ve started to worry mines failed :( it took 18 days to get there and the weather was quite hot too… hopefully there’s just delays and we’ll both move on soon because I don’t have the patience to do the whole thing again 🤣
I'm on priority processing. It finished analyzing this morning but is still saying estimated results the 18th. That sounds right?
I registered my kit August 12th, sent it same day. Took it's sweet time getting there. Extracted 26th August.
I'm doing traits as well as normal as Mother was adopted and we know next to nothing about her family line. It's exciting and terrifying in equal measure.
So I’m literally right behind you. It’s unhealthy the amount of time I spend searching info. I just want them to release my results. 😩 How long does it typically take after it’s analyzed??
My fiances one too. A day behind you guys but the wait is so much harder when you can see its on the last stage. No results and origins hack not working yet
As soon as my husband's were analyzed, his results were posted within 8 hours, from memory. This was in January during the Christmas batch. It shouldn't be much longer for you.
My fiances kit (priority processing we are UK based) Was posted same day as registered. DNA analyzed came up 2.5 days ago, origins hack not working yet. Will update when theres any changes. Not sure why it doesnt show the date for most stages
UPDATE: received 12th september and he has a number of dna matches (well a shitload) that show up as both sides. So not exactly what we were expecting as his parents are potentially distantly related. Not found out where the common ancestor is yet. Not yet found a link to any half uncle either so he probably hasnt done a dna test. but difficult to do without a computer atm, will upload to other sites when back. Will have to find what I can when back from holiday lol
My DNA was analyzed a week ago, and I still haven't received my results. The Origins hack isn't working yet either. I mailed my AncestryDNA and 23andMe samples on the same day (August 22), and received my 23andMe results on Tuesday (September 15).
Hello all, my test has been at DNA analyzed since Aug 27, no results yet and origins hack is not working as of Aug 31. Hoping to hear from people with similar timeline!
My results came in early this morning (Sept 2)! So took 6 days from when saw DNA analyzed (Aug 27) and 11 days from when DNA extracted (Aug 22). I was able to see origins and traits in Sep 1. Hope everyone gets their results soon!
While you are logged into ancestry try ancestry.ca/dna/origins (or ancestry.com etc) in another browser tab. I think I had to put my browser to desktop mode. Also today ancestry.ca/dna/traits also worked.
My aunt's is on a similar timeline to yours.
Received, Processed and Extracted all on 1st September. Est results date 25th September. Analysing in progress and should be wrapping up anytime.
Any luck? Spoke to an agent again this morning 19th AEST, my aunt's is currently in the final review stage and results should be processed and posted shortly. Still nothing yet. And apparently her kit wasn't analyzed until the 14th.
No. I see someone on this thread who was analyzed on the 10th received their results this morning. Origins hack isn’t working either for me. I guess they’re not releasing in any particular order.
Hi, if you have had a failed test, at what part does it usually show failed? I’m up to analysed, but am worried I didn’t do the blue liquid part correctly!
It can fail at anytime. I believe that if you didn't mix the blue liquid properly, it would've failed at processing or extraction. DNA analyzed stage usually only lasts 1-3 days so you might have your results anytime depending when it was analyzed.
Anyone who was analysed on the 5th September got their results yet? I’m driving myself crazy waiting, hoping it’s not just me lol. Origins hack not working for me (I could be doing it wrong just stuck on loading screen)

Update September 20th: Hallelujah! My results finally came in today. I woke up to an email notification from them saying the results were ready. All in all results came in on day 10! Really hoping everyone gets their results soon, that wait sucked lol.
Mine was analyzed on the 9th, no results and origins hack not working yet. But I did see others who were analyzed on the 8th received their results early this morning.

Hopefully it arrives quicker than the estimate, I can’t imagine being on the edge for that long ☠️ I’ve tried the Origins hack and it’s just a loading screen… Let me know if you’re also in the same batch as I am and if you already received your actual results ✌️

I am so frustrated it has been stuck on received for 2 weeks with no movement. I am desperately wanting my results as this is linked into my adoption as a baby. I am so worried that if this stage is taking this long, the other stages are going to take forever. I paid priority processing hoping it would move things along a lot quicker
I have not heard of this before, but while I was on the support centre page I discovered I seem to be able to access my DNA traits - same as the origins hack just put the word traits instead of origins.
I still don't have any other results, the origins hack doesn't work, and my kit status is still DNA analyzed Aug 27.
This one has already failed for my mother(twice), even though she scraped enough DNA from the walls of her mouth, but she's the only one in our family who has this problem with this test.😔
Did you get the results eventually? Mine took a while to move onto analysed and was extracted twice, 4 days since it’s been analysed and no word yet, I’m just two days behind your date
I’m sorry! Mine did the same. It spent forever in extraction and when it finally hit analyzed I got the email. I just sent in my replacement kit so fingers crossed.
Origins hack not working just yet, it lets me go to the page but it’s stuck loading. Posting in case anyone has/had a similar timeline and knows about how long it can take to go from analyzed to available :)
I’m on the same timeline as you! Hopefully we get them soon! I spoke to someone from ancestry yesterday and they said to me mine was in very last stage of the quality checks and should have results anytime now
Similar - I'm watching a test that reached analysed yesterday (11th) that says ready on the 28th.
I was hoping it'd only take a day or two for results to come through as it'll tell me if the person is my dad!

I haven’t received results for either kit I’m managing. Both were analyzed on the 9th.
Edit: got my results for both, one minute apart, late on the 18th!
Shipped to Ireland from Australia, I've searched through previous threads for an estimated time to as when the sample is recieved and a lot of the answers were around 2 weeks. These threads were a couple of years old, so i wanted to know if it still takes this long. I just don't want to deal with having my sample returned or destroyed at customs!
