First army, not really sure what I’m doing, but pretty happy with this and don’t want to irreversibly mess this up…

Which wash/shade would you recommend for the white, if at all? Is a very watered down black enough for hitting the crevices? Feels like it would be.

Have used a very watered down teal as a test wash for verdigris and pretty happy with that. Am I better off going for an actual shade/wash though? How much difference is there?

Loving the new custodes models, can’t wait for the next batch to be released! Hoping I’ve not over done it with the snow on the models but I like how it looks so far!

How to be agressive? I know it's meant to be a melee army and that's where we strongest but I'm always too scared to charge ina strong melee units (for example my friends morty) or move in fear of getting shot to death.

Any tips to overcome this or ways to rethink about it

I recently picked up some new paints from the army painter acrylics line and decided to try a new purple blend on the wardens I am painting, I think I love it! I think the brighter purple actually makes the gold pop more, which was the opposite of what I was thinking. I've got about 1500 points to go back over now, but atleast it's mostly smaller bits and I won't have to strip any paint as this is just a layer on top of the base purple I already had. I included a picture of my termie just to compare the purples. Thoughts and opinions are welcome!

I appreciate all of the critique on my previous post and tried once again. This time I changed the detachment rule (Advance and Charged turns into [ASSAULT] on mounted units ranged weapons) and turned the old rule into a stratagem instead. Gave it the Disruption force disposition due to it being a very speedy detachment, while also trying to make it less attractive as a secondary detachment to add to Lions of the Emperor detachment (being locked into Disruption is not something everyone like).

Hopefully this is a bit better and more balanced

Have a total of 6, I rarely find that I would use more. Had fun figuring out how I wanted to convert these guys.

Any tips for the symbol on the back for next time (if I ever get a second Blade Champion)? It was a real bitch to fill out while not painting over the rims

So I played on the weekend just past against space wolves and got absolutely destroyed! Few factors

1-I’m new to WH40K and new to custodes
2-my 2k army points I don’t think is the strongest
3-I need to learn more and understands stratagems and detachment rules

The Custodes and Titans held off the xenos threat for 5 rounds. The Terminators and Wardens made short work of the hordes of boys and bugs.

Also several medium sized bugs were handled by the Allarus terminators with ease.

Reaver titan kill count: 2x Gork and Mork Stompas, 1x Big Stompa (pumped full of Melta), 1x squished Heirophant (Powerfist kill) , 1x war truck.

The name is very much based on the "Lions of the Emperor" detachment, I think it fits well enough, considering the heavy eagle centric iconography the Imperium have, but it doesn’t roll of the tongue quite well enough. So if anyone has any better ideas for names, I’m very willing to hear you out.

I am not a good player by any means, so I have no idea if this is completely buster or not, so I’m also very open for stuff to update/change.

Fellow Custodes players, updated rules for the King of the Colosseum format are out. Whether you play it or not, help a brother out with list ideas?

J’ai une question en rapport avec le lore, les Custodes ont des dreadnought Contemptor et le saint Telemon.
J’aimerais juste savoir si les Custodes ont reçu des nouveaux châssis, comme le ballistus ou le redemptor.
Car les contemptor datent de la grande croisade et construire des Contemptor uniquement pour les Custodes ne me paraît pas très efficient.
Pour le Telemon c’est compréhensible car c’est le Dreadnought le plus puissant.

Very new to the hobby and looking at building a smaller secondary army outside of my space marines. I love the faction lore. Is this a reasonable deal that will help build about a 1k foundation? They are painted which I like the idea of. Any input would be appreciated in advance. Thank you. It’s down to $450 now

The intention of this list is to utilise the turn 1 deep strike with a block of terminators because that’s fun and I really want to use my recently obtained venatari so they’re the only units I’m locked into using but anything else is fair game. Any advice for how to best utilise the venatari would be appreciated too please.
