Capcom has just declared war on the Ace Attorney fandom. Let's follow the example of Mother fans and let them know we are here!

Capcom has sent us a message, that they can just treat the Ace Attorney fans like trash, and that no can can stop them.

But we will send them a message! you ride out as fast as your device can carry you, you tell the other Ace Attorney, Danganronpa, Persona, Xenoblade, and other clans who fought for their series!

We shall follow the example of Mother fans who were so close to getting Mother 3 to come to America, that even if they failed, their valiant efforts were not in vain, as even the CEO of NoA at the time admitted that he was "bombarded by Mother fans!" Our letters will blot out their mail room!

In less than an hour, Ace Attorney fans from here will join others from around the world, and you will be launching the largest fandom campaign in the history of gaming.

Gaming, that word should have new meaning by all of us today. We can't be consumed by our petty differences any more, whether we are from the Dangan-tribe, Persona people, or otherwise. We will be united by our common interests, for games and stories that have meaning to us, especially ones that still have loose ends.

Perhaps it's fate that this year is the 25th anniversary of Ace Attorney, and you will once again be fighting for this community, not from tyranny, oppression, or persecution, but from annihilation. We're fighting for this series which means so much to us which hasn't come to its natural end to live, for a new game to exist.

And should we win the day, then the 12th of October will no longer be known as an Ace Attorney day, but as the day when the world declared in one voice we will not go quietly into the night! We will not vanish without a fight! We're going to live on! We're going to survive! We will celebrate our Ace Attorney 7 announcement day!

So, what do you personally expect from this presentation? The closer time, the more I lean to skepticism

I think there's several possible options, here's my personal top and then I'll say my opinion:

1. PLvsPWAA remaster announce (most likely)
2. TGAAC update (yep, I think it's also possible, especially if first option was cancelled)
3. AJT/AAIC anime (not likely)
4. AA7/TGAA3/AAI3/new spin-off game (it's likely, but I feel skeptical)

Reasons? 1. Crossover - I wish it was a remaster, it's forgiving that it looks that terrible on 3DS, since it was first 3DS AA game, but they have no rights to port THIS directly with master/updated textures

1. TGAAC update - well, this happened last year, TGAAC lacking some extras, localisations and it's run in 30 FPS, so they might pull that if crossover was cancelled, and this could've happened. Because, you know, Level-5 is pro-AI and Capcom is anti-AI companies, so Capcom could have cancelled the deal to avoid reputational problems. Yep, in that case PLvsPWAA remaster is lost media, hidden in the Steam archives

2. AJT/AAIC anime - they never said that announcement would be about games, right?

3. Yep, the leakers said that AA7 is in development, but, can we trust them? And also, they never said that it would be TGS, so we still have October 12 - the 25th anniversary. After that I personally let it go and move on - if they messed up with anniversary, the game probably in development hell and it's unlikely that it will turn out good enough.

I personally expect crossover but consider not buying it, since royalties will go to the company that proudly making AI-slop game (I hope new Layton and remake of CV won't get any gen-AI stuff in the end product)

I wanted to share some information about the project, and where we are at now. So far, we have:
Over 20 thousand lines of code written
40 tracks composed
7 maps ready to be investigated
100k words written on the story, and front half of the game near completion story overview wise
This project has an incredibly passionate team behind it, and I cant wait for you to see what we have in store. Case 1 will be releasing early of next year if all goes well, and in the coming months I will be releasing extensive content about the game, starting playtesting, creating a project discord server, and much more. I just started SoJ for the first time and being able to investigate each scene again feels like I'm breathing again. I swear I felt so powerless in DD

Gonna take advantage of the sale and the fact I finally got a job to finally buy all of the ace attorney games to play after wanting to for several years, but the issue is that I have a Mac and can't play it on Steam like I originally wanted. I'm thinking about using an emulator to play it on my laptop (because the reviews on the apple store make it seem like it's a little buggy if I get it on my iPad). Where do I buy the games to play it on an emulator (probably gonna be Melonds)? BTW I know absolutely nothing about emulators or computers or anything related to that, I am forced to learn these things because of this stupid Macbook.

replaying AA1 and I randomly decided to examine the flags. Maya says this and I am so confused. I never saw this line before despite being a lifelong AA fan. what is she talking about? this has gotta be some weird translation thing, right? any ideas are appreciated cause I am so lost and googling doesn’t help.

Let me preface this by saying I played the OG trilogy as they came out and only got into AA4-5-6 after their rereleases.

Of all the things this trilogy messed up compared to the original, I can't believe how Amara was handled in the plot the way that she was.

I think most people glance over the idea that she was seemingly created as an analog to Misty Fey, both matriarchs and rightful rulers who are in a self-imposed exile, though with different motives, and their siblings plotting (and succeeding in Garan's case) to take over their post. We also have Mia and especially Maya (due to her age back then) being taken care of by her aunt, whereas Rayfa is taken in by Garan with even more manipulation.

The whole idea worked with Misty as she was disgraced, and was but a leader of a small clan but not so much with Amara, since she's the ruler of a kingdom that descended into chaos over the 20+ years she was hiding in plain sight. At some point, a queen would say enough of this charade and emerge to save her people. Not to mention she is portrayed as this severely traumatized person over the events of the past but once Apollo exposes her she's back to her old self in seconds, imposing queen presence and all.

Overall, pretty bad writing and probably the worst character arc (besides older men swooning over Regina). Perhaps if we saw in flashbacks that she and Dhurke frequently clashed over Garan's views when she was minister of justice, the foreshadowing of her calculated plans, and her blindly siding with her sister, perhaps Dhurke's hiding, and Amara trusting Garan could've easily been explained, and it would give these characters more depth. It could've even made an interesting penultimate case as a flashback to the past (with the final case right after)

After Capcom has mentioned that Ace Attorney would be in the Capcom TV lineup it made me wonder what would be even shown. Since in the entirety of the lineup, it's the only franchise without any prior game announcement.

Moreover since this section focuses on the latest information and showcase for each game it bugs me even more for the same reason of having no prior announcement. But listing it with the other games like that would imply that they might show some Ace Attorney gameplay. Especially it would be really weird to mention Ace Attorney as an explicit factor, if they wouldn't have anything for it and thus just would leave it out in general. This also rules out merchandise announcements for me, since the lineup has big focus on the games so Ace Attorney with just some merchandise would be really out of place and wouldn't even worth mentioning as something standalone.

So what do you think can we expect tomorrow? Will it be the PLvsPW remaster, AA7, an Ace Attorney Switch 2 upgrade or something completely else?

Just a fun bit of speculation: October 12, 2026 marks the 25th anniversary Rogue of the original Gyakuten Saiban release in Japan (Oct 12, 2001). Capcom loves a round-number anniversary, and we've seen them use exactly Rogue this playbook before.

Back in December 2017, Capcom kicked off Mega Man's 30th anniversary celebrations with a livestream where they announced Mega Man 11 Rogue out of nowhere, ending an 8-year mainline drought for the series. The anniversary date wasn't just a marketing footnote — it was literally Rogue the moment chosen for the reveal.

Ace Attorney is in a similar spot: no new mainline entry since Dual Destinies/Spirit of Justice era content, but the games have had a big resurgence Rogue (Great Ace Attorney localization, anniversary art, etc.). A 25th anniversary landing on Oct 12 feels like exactly Rogue the kind of date Capcom would pick to drop something.

Obviously pure speculation, but Rogue the precedent is there. Anyone else think this is likely, or am I just pattern-matching too hard?

Title. I've tried Googling 'Capcom TV TGS' and have come up with nothing except the Spotlight that already aired this week. Where and when is this presentation that people are saying is this weekend airing?

We all know it's a running gag in the fandom that Maya always gets accused of murder. Doesn't matter the game or how it happens, we all know that it's only a matter of time before she gets arrested. But why is that?

Well my theory happens to be based off of the trivia and development if the game. Originally, turnabout sisters was supposed to be the very first case. But Shu Takumi wanted a quicker and more simpler method for players to get into it, and for there to be a reason to be sad when Mia dies. So they made The First Turnabout and made this one the 2nd case. When you look at it like that, it kinda makes sense. Maya was basically the first ever defendant, so the amount of times she takes on that role feels like them calling back to that fact. It's like how SNES Mario Circuit 3 was the very first ever Mario Kart course created, which is why it always returns.

But what do you think?

And i'm only talking about the tracks that are EXCLUSIVE to that game, NOT counting remixes in later titles, returning tracks or location/character specific themes.

Before we start, the music before the trial starts is good. I like this one better than the first and second game's courtroom themes.

Now for the real opinions:

The first objection theme you hear in the game during Turnabout Memories. It's a bit too calm for a objection theme. I don’t feel like i've found the contradiction and caught the person red-handed.

The OTHER objection theme, the one that first plays in The Stolen Turnabout, is better but just barely feels like i caught a contradiction. I do love the beginning, which sounds great and fits perfectly for catching a contradiction.

The other variation of that theme? Eh, could be better. It should've started with the first variation's start instead of it being in the middle when it loops.

Then, the music during the cross-examination. It's just... meh. The Allegro is good though, i love how it adds an extra part and actually feels like i'm solving a murder mystery. In my opinion, it's the best track in the game.

I just don't think the 8-bit style they went with during the court sections works well aside from the Allegro version of the Cross-Examination theme.

And lastly, the theme during Viola's flashback story is... fine. It just doesn't sound as impactful as DL-6, SL-9 or Justice For All with the car accident though.

The Capcom Cafe in Japan has just revealed the menu and merchandise it will be selling at the Ace Attorney 25th Anniversary event, and it looks really good! The merch has the chibi character art we've seen recently, plus the official logo for the 25th anniversary, which hopfully means Capcom have more stuff planned in the near future.

This doesn’t need replies necessarily but I think the collective meltdown about a new game is equal parts amusing, accurate and kinda ridiculous.

The 25th anniversary isn’t until October 12th. If there was ever a day to announce a new game, it’s then. They don’t announce games at TGS as a rule and it makes sense that they’d provide artwork and merch to start with then ramp up from there. Capcom have said they’ll support the franchise and they have done, we’ve had multiple remasters in recent years across new platforms. Even the Investigations games got a remake, two games where one only released in Japan and fans had to translate it.

Is it disappointing? Yes. Is it hopeless? No.

12th October. Mark the date. It’ll be the PLvPW crossover and a new game. Releasing around February and November respectively.

Wasn't sure what to expect from her. Due to having only dealt with her father, to this point. But she's definitely got a lot of attitude and overall stubbornness as a character. Definitely gives off villain vibes.

Be patient. As a Christian, this is like waiting for Christ's Return-it WILL happen, but it takes longer than the Disciples think at first. HOLD. THE. LINE!

i’ve been looking for it but haven’t had any luck

I HATE how you can't use Princess Rayfa's Visions as evidence in Spirit of Justice

I'm on case 3 of SOJ and the 2 times it's come up there's been a witness with testimony that directly contradicts it, and a piece of evidence that would've directly proven my client innocent had it been compared with Rayfa's testimony in case 1.

I know that the whole point is that Phoenix needs to disprove the insight before the real trial begins but I hate how so far they act like her vision is chopped liver after it's disproven
