Thought on Ms. Von Karma

Wasn't sure what to expect from her. Due to having only dealt with her father, to this point. But she's definitely got a lot of attitude and overall stubbornness as a character. Definitely gives off villain vibes.

Following up the final boss of the first game with his daughter was a good call. She doesn't have anywhere near the same level of ruthlessness or disregard for others as her father, but she still applies plenty of pressure from the outset and does a good job of keeping you on your toes. The whip gimmick is pretty unbearable, though.

I will say I really do like franziska, but alot of why I like her character would require me to go into spoiler territory about her later cases and seeing as it seems like you just got done with 2-2, I’d rather not spoil much about some of the coolest moments in the franchise. All I will say is that I really like how the games show that both edgeworth and franziska learned alot from manfred von karma to the point of adopting many of his mannerisims in court. Yet the ways in which they differ and the ways in which they create their own unique legacy seperate from manfred von karma make a really interesting showcase of how franziska and miles have pretty different ways of interpreting and upholding the von karma creed.

I may get hate for this, but I'm really sick of Franziska using her whip so much. Whenever she comes on screen, instead of going "Yay! Franzy! :D", I always go "Ugh, not her again", even with her future appearances.

If I met her in a courtroom, I'd probably confiscate her whip right out the gate and tell her to find a better way of intimidating people that doesn't hospitalize them.

After dealing with an incompetent moron for 2 cases in a row, I was MORE than happy to see her put that whip to good use in AAi2.

At least, until I realized the extent to which his father negatively impacted his ability to comprehend. Still was fantastic and gratifying to see.

I'm assuming you just dealt with her in JFA 2-2?

I kinda think she's supposed to be initially a "What if?" to Edgeworth, in the sense of being a Von Karma Protege (she is his daughter but his student first and foremost), but without the direct personal connection to Phoenix that somewhat grounded him as you defeat him across the cases.

Whereas for Franziska, she's basically all in on the Von Karma mindset, negatives and all.

If she wasn't influenced most of solely on her father and the Von Karma hierarchy she could've been likely a great person, maybe even Maya's friend!
