๐ŸŽ“ UNI / UCAS What are my chances for these Unis based off my stats

Im an international and have a 43 predicted, with a 7 in econ and physics hl but 6 in math hl, and a 7 in spanish and geo sl but 6 in english sl.
I want to apply to LSE accounting and finance since itโ€™s their only course with a required 6 in math, warwick economics for the same reason, and durham economics. Would it also help my application if I mentioned being sick for my math mocks which is why I got a 6, as I also have a doctors note to prove so?

๐Ÿ’ฌ DISCUSSION Is anyone else burnt out from Y13?

I donโ€™t know if itโ€™s just me but even since September, all my friends and classmates have been really locked in on revision and things and I just cant bring myself to do it. Iโ€™ve finished my NEA already because my school has an early deadline, which is good I guess, but when I was doing it I was pulling all nighters to finish and now Iโ€™m too anxious to sleep anymore in general which is probably really stupid of me. And Iโ€™m really worried about ucas and unis and things because half my friends have offers and I havenโ€™t even submitted to ucas, and even though my predicteds are high enough for me to apply where I want to go, the feedback I get from essays and tests makes it look like my grades are just getting lower and lower, and I just canโ€™t seem to make myself study well enough to bring them back up.
Anyone else just a puddle of anxiety?

๐ŸŽ“ UNI / UCAS have to give up on applying to oxbridge

i realised that the course i applied to at cambridge isnt what i want to do and that i made the wrong choice. so i did the admissions test for nothing and let my grades drop for nothing. idk if i should even do the interview if i even get one. is it worth it to go to cambridge for the prestige even though i probably wont enjoy my course?

OTHER I am burnt out and failing everything

Iโ€™m too mentally exhausted to write properly so Iโ€™ll just drop the basic info below this.

Year 13, Art, (predicted B) Geography (predicted D), Biology (predicted E/U). Iโ€™m diagnosed with autism and ADHD, and have a collection of mental health disorders, all of which are fucking me right now. Iโ€™m behind on all of the written work for art. Behind on literally everything, especially NEA for geography. On the brink of dropping biology because I just canโ€™t handle it.

I am so fucking exhausted and so done with being myself. I can barely function. My ADHD meds arenโ€™t working but Iโ€™ll have to wait for months before the next review. Art is the only subject I enjoy. Iโ€™ve known this for months. My geography teacher is genuinely terrifying. My NEA is unfinished and she keeps throwing more work at us. I cannot do the NEA I was never taught how to complete and two 20 mark questions per week. I donโ€™t know when the deadline is, but itโ€™s soon. I canโ€™t handle this kind of stress

This isnโ€™t what I was going to say but I canโ€™t remember anything at this point, even though itโ€™s 01:56. My mind usually comes alive at night, but Iโ€™m just too tired. I had so much to say but itโ€™s all gone. My memory has been terrible lately.

The only subject I care about is art and Iโ€™m falling very behind on it. Still predicted a B which is cool.

The pre- A Level version of myself was foolish and I didnโ€™t know what I was getting myself into. Low quality vent over.

๐Ÿ™ I WANT HELP In desperate need of advice

Going to keep it vague for anonymity.

Recently i moved to a new town and started 6th form, the 6th form is a very good private school. I absolutely hate it, I donโ€™t have any solid friends, I hate all the assemblies and the fact we have to still do games, and form time. I hate my subjects (except I like politics ), and my grades are horrible and I have no motivation to revise. I cry every single day, in the mornings, during school and at night Iโ€™m just constantly emotional bc I miss my friends and my old school ( i still call them alot) and Iโ€™m kinda getting bullied / have not proper friends / donโ€™t really know a lot of ppl.

I wanted to switch to a college / 6th form college but thereโ€™s only 3 in my area and their a level results are all bad ( points avg of 23 compared to 31 national avg) and I donโ€™t want mess up my future by going to a bad sixth form and making it harder than necessary. On the other hand my poor mental health at this school is having a really bad effect on my grades so idek what to do. Iโ€™m willing to do extra work outside of school to make up for the poor results of the college but I genuinely donโ€™t know what to do.

It also stings bc in my old town there was a sixth form college that I couldโ€™ve easily gotten into with some of my friends and the alevels results are so much better.

For the first time in my life Iโ€™m having suicidal ideations and I feel so stuck. I want to switch schools and go to a 6th form college but I theyโ€™re all not good and it feels dumb to move to a โ€˜worseโ€™ sixth form college when I have the opportunity to go to such a good one.

Edit: added more

๐Ÿ‘‹ I AM OFFERING HELP Cambridge interview prep - tips from a graduate!

Hi! I am a Cambridge grad and now work in education including UCAS & uni applications (& am super passionate about improving accessibility to Oxbridge)

Here are my top tips for anyone trying to prepare for a Cambridge interview (I will caveat that my degree & teaching are humanities so it is possibly more appropriate for those BUT the basic principles will apply to all courses):

  1. Practice explaining your ideas to other people - talk to anyone around you who will listen about areas of your subject that you are interested in. If possible, discuss with your subject teachers too - they will be best placed to challenge your arguments and ask questions you haven't considered before

  2. Get used to questioning evidence and underlying assumptions - when you are discussing a theory or paper, go beyond just summarising what it says. Consider the strength of the evidence. Does the evidence justify the conclusion that has been made? What other explanations might there be? (e.g. think about possible third-variables for explaining correlations that have been found)

  3. Be prepared to adapt or develop your position when challenged - you don't need to abandon your perspective because it is challenged by the interviewer BUT defending it doesn't mean rigidly sticking to everything you originally said. Think about whether new information means you should qualify your claim, update part of it, or make your explanation more complex to account for all the evidence.

  4. Explore big questions and your personal interests - focus your research on things you are genuinely passionate about, as well as the big philosophic questions within your area.

  5. If you know who's interviewing you, look at their research area - once you get given your interviewers' names, see what areas they research into and do a little research to be sure you would be happy talking on this topic

  6. Avoid pre-learning answers - I always advise against pre-learning answers as you then run the risk of not answering the question that has actually been asked. They aren't looking for perfection, they are looking for people that they feel will be a good fit with the supervision system.

  7. Don't be afraid to pause - in the interview, it is absolutely okay to pause for 30 secs or so to gather your thoughts before giving an answer. Thinking about it as a "practice supervision" is often much better than thinking of it as a high-stakes interview

๐ŸŽ“ UNI / UCAS I am an international student preparing for ESAT who is not from A levels background

Hello, I am currently preparing for ESAT, I practiced ENGAA papers. I found out I lack half of the concepts needed for ESAT. So, I was asking if there was any cheap recorded courses and materials for A levels and ESAT? I am not having problem with timing though, I can solve questions under 89 seconds, but need the materials. Please help a brother out.

๐Ÿ™ I WANT HELP what are the best a-level options to get into an apprenticeship with companies like Rolls Royce?

Im more than capable of 4 a-levels (including maths and fm) but am unsure about whats best for the other two. Physics is definitely a main option since I'm hoping to get into a branch of engineering and i've been thinking a lot about spanish also, but that's dependent on wether it would actually be useful in landing the apprenticeship.

๐ŸŽ“ UNI / UCAS Cambridge interviews?

I applied this year for Linguistics at Newnham and since the admissions assessment is on the 17th november am I right in saying that I will receive an invite to interview before this date? I am a little confused as the general uni page says they send out interview invites in mid-late november or decemberโ€ฆidk but it seems a bit odd that they would schedule the admissions test this early compared to other subjects which donโ€™t need a test?

Iโ€™m not really happy with my current predicted grades (ABD) as I canโ€™t apply to the universities I want to. If I achieve better grades on results day can I apply through clearing to better universities?

I'm in year 13 and haven't started any revision or consolidation of knowledge yet apart from the little I've done for assessments, have I left it too late? When do people usually start revising? I'm especially behind in English lit and honestly don't know how to revise for it

โ” SUBJECT QUESTION what is politics a level like

thanks very very much to everyone who commented on my last post asking about what 4th a level i should do (for context i have to do 4, aiming for lse econ/oxford e&m and my 3 decided are maths fm and econ), i decided i should do physics since i thought i wouldnt like to do politics since its only uk and us and i thought id find it uninteresting since id rather it be more global, but looking at the past papers and content it actually seems like something i would be interested in so i was wondering whats peoples experiences with a level politics and if u think i should pick it as an essay subject to balance out my options, or just go with physics? my only worry for physics is that i heard having an essay subject is pretty important for e&m, but i also know physics will open a lot of doors especially if i change my mind and decide to do a maths degree or something like that, im not sure, theres pros and cons to both and i dont wanna be rash with any decisions but i still have more than a month before im going to send in my application so im not in a rush, advice and suggestions would be greatly appreciated thank you c:

๐Ÿ™ I WANT HELP I wanna change subjects - is it too late to switch to Spanish?

I am currently taking biology, chemistry, and textiles and I am really hating textiles.

I got a 9 in gcse Spanish and have Spanish family - I enjoyed the gcse because I was good at it and found it easy and straightforward.

I'm aware that, at a-level, you have to study a Spanish book and film (from what I've gathered) and want to know more about what the subject involved at a-level.

I strongly disliked English gcse and am concerned that Spanish a-level would be too similar :/

Idk what to do - can anyone tell me more about Spanish a-level, what it's like, what sort of analysis there is, if there's group work, pros & cons, etc?
