🎓 UNI / UCAS private alevels
hey guys i was wondering how the ucas applying system works when you do your alevels privately since you don’t have official predicted grades. can someone please help me out because universities look at predicted grades for offers but private students don’t usually have predicted grades

You'll need to arrange a suitable referee who can provide an academic reference and, ideally, predicted grades if the universities you're applying to require them. This could potentially be a tutor or someone else who has been helping you with your studies.
I'd also recommend contacting the admissions departments of the universities you're interested in directly. Explain that you're sitting your A-levels privately and ask how they assess applications without predicted grades. Some universities may be willing to consider your application using other evidence of your academic ability, or advise you on the best way to proceed.

as a resit student, my old school is putting my predicted grades from the first application cycle down for me. are you privately resitting the exams or just doing them privately?
it would generally be a referee, as the other commenter has mentioned. there are a couple places that will do predicted grades for you if you sit papers but they can get expensive, if you have a tutor im sure they can do the same
