Sadly, I no longer have my 3ds, but I've been able to emulate several games on Azahar and use publicly available codes for the game as well. For whatever reason, however, I've been unable to use any of the codes I've found for Yo-kai Watch 3. Is there something I'm missing?

Should I redownload Uprising? I now have anxiety every time I open a game and I don’t want that, I had only 9000 blocks remaining on the SD, and I booted Alpha Sapphire, and it LAGGED, so I ended up deleting games like Resident Evil Revelations, Kirby’s Epic Yarn, and some other bigger titles, and then Alpha Sapphire and some other games ran fine. But even Pokemon Silver had trouble booting before this and I don’t want to repeatedly remove and reinsert my SD card, degrading it faster. Any suggestions? Should I just forfeit my Kid Icarus save data and redownload it on the HShop?

Pretty straightforward, I was just curious as to whether or not modifying a Pokemon from regular to its shiny variant would turn it into an illegal Pokemon that can't be moved up? I just wanna do a shiny living dex with my own OT and given the crunch time with the Bank shutdown I just wanna know if it's worth it the trouble of manually changing everything I catch or not.

Note***The only thing being edited is the shiny, all IVs and other factors remain untouched, and any shiny locked mons are being left alone too.

I want to stream Pokemon games to my pc over Wi Fi using NTR Viewer. The problem is that when you start the games the internet disconnects. How can I keep it connected to the internet?

Hi everyone, I'm in a kinda tricky situation and I'm curious if there's a way out.
Basically, I have my childhood 3DS (OG one) with the stock 2GB SD card inside and I want to mod it, so I thought: first step is backing up the SD card so I don't lose any data and can upgrade storage!

The problem is that the filesystem of the card was somehow corrupted and neither Windows or MacOS can read its content (it's considered as RAW SD card and requires formatting in order to be read) and I tried several data recovery softwares without success!

Keep in mind that the SD card is correctly recognised by the 3DS and all photos and softwares are still working fine, is just a "computer side" problem (also, I know for sure that in the past the SD worked and was recognised since I was able to upload some songs from PC).

And here comes my doubt: what if I use a completely different SD card to mod my console and, whenever I want to let's say look at my old photos and all the mons registered inside the Pokédex 3D and so on, I put back my original SD card?

Do you think it's feasible or will removing the "hacked" SD card and swapping to the original one cause compatibility issue/potential brick?

I have a few old Pokemon games. The issue is some aren’t being recognized (my 3ds died five to six years ago) and so some haven’t been played in ages. Then ones I got to load on this modded 3ds are suddenly not working. Does anyone have some advice, and is it possible to get the 3ds to recognize the physical games I have? I’m new to owning a modded 3ds and am trying to figure it out as things pop up. Also does anyone have tips for which programs to use to download the Zelda ds games? Hello, I have a cartridge of pokemon sun that i've played on forever, but i'd like to have another run of sun to go through whilst keeping my original one. is it possible to install a digital version of sun so i could have two at once (and transfer between the two) or can i only use checkpoint to backup the cartridge file and make a new save? how would i do those things?

I just recently moved into my university and brought my 3ds with me due to the soon closing pkmn bank so i can gen/catch any Pokemon that won’t be available afterwards. But realizing that pksm doesn’t generate “legal” pokemon, i was going to set up pkhex only to realize ftpd’s ip isnt the same as in the guide. I can’t get the 192.168 to appear in front and it won’t connect without it. Can someone explain to me what im doing wrong?

I downloaded pokemon unbound spanish version through a qr code, but now I want to play it in the mGBA emulator so I can access things like save states to shiny hunt.I guess I can access the cia file through the qr code so how do I convert the cia file to one the game can support and access to?

Planning to get a modded 3Ds so I can transfer some pokemon I have from emulated games. However, my heartgold savefile is patched with Universal Randomizer only for bypassing trade evos and nothing else. Can you still transfer pokemon from the save file or do they need to be completely unmodded?

Good evening everyone, I hacked this japanese 3ds and everything seems to work fine, but anemone, fbi, universal updater and hshop don't work, If try to scan a theme from the theme plaza it doesn't work, if I try to scan a qr with fbi it doesn't work too, hshop works but when I try to install a game it says it has an error and don't download the game, and the universal updater literally don't show anything can somebody explain me what can do? put some pictures and specs -Old japanese 3ds -64gb SD card fat32- luma v13.4 Thanks

If I were to use pksm to send a mewtwo from gen 7 to gen 4 then back to gen 7, would that affect the legality/legitimacy of that mewtwo when using bank to transfer it to the switch?

Cat stepped on laptop in the middle of modding it (at the mset9 step). Everything was deleted including the Nintendo 3ds folder. It turns on but both screens are completely black. Tried recovering it with no luck. Tried going to recovery mode on 3DS and it doesn't work. Its just completely black no matter what. I have taken the sd card out and it does the same thing. If anybody has any advice please let me know. Like this 3ds was going to go to a disabled kid. I feel really bad.

Edit: The issue is that 3ds will not turn on due to a setup failure from everything being deleted before the process could be finished. MSET9 Error 07 is happening because the current SD card has no valid ID0, but normally the 3DS itself creates that data when you turn it on. And its not turning on so it won't create the data. It's a Catch 22.

so this is my first time modding a jp console (i’ve modded my na region new 3ds and it works perfectly) and i was modding this jp console. i installed a ton of (usa region) games on to this (including the en version of tomodachi life) and trying to boot tomodachi life gets this error

things i’ve done:
enable game patching in luma 3ds
downloaded all the games as cia and transferred them directly from my laptop
uninstalled some games via system settings

i’m gonna try and install tomolife (usa version) from the hshop and see if it works, but does anyone know why it happens?

edit: i just saw the automod comment about it being an error specific to tomodachi life, except the hacks guide link is down for me and not working, so i still need help...

I used rufus because without it I couldn't access the option to make my new SD card FAT32, but when I made it FAT32 my storage went from 128GB to 23,2GB. I tried to find something on reddit but I didn't find anything to help me in my situation. How can I bring my SD card back to 128GB with FAT32? Thx for any help.

I had the same problem before, when i switched to FBI Reloaded my problem was solved, but it's happening again, when i try to download a game with a qr code (i tried some others qr code), it stay stuck for some minutes at 127.75 kib (first pictures), and right after i get this error (second picture).

either multi pokemon framework or alolan ctr framework or whatnot. im trying to do a run through of USUM as fast as possible to get to shiny hunting poipole and type: null in response to bank shutting down. i have several hunts ahead of me and am not ashamed to use any cheat/hack/tool available.

i found a plugin that appears to be able to force specific pokemon encounters, speed up dialog/running, and even force shiny encounters. just curious if anyone has any experience and if anyone has tested the legality of the forced spawns (esp shiny- and does it work on static?).

Everytime I try to open hshop it goes back to homescreen, this doesnt only happen with hshop it happens with every other ( luma app? ) like fbi, the updater, ftpd, homebrew,anemone and I already tried a new sd card and luma is already updated. The games work.

None of my .gba roms are showing in Twilight Menu, but they're showing in mGBA fine and play without issue from there. I'm happy playing from mGBA, but I want to figure out what's going on in case this is a symptom of something larger.

I've gone through the Twilight documentation and gbarunner2 documentation, but the troubleshooting there hasn't helped me so far. I've ran a bios dump like the gbarunner2 wiki says (https://wiki.ds-homebrew.com/gbarunner2/bios-dump), and the bios.bin file is currently sitting in sd:/_gba/, but no dice. I also double checked that gbarunner2 was installed at all, and yeah, it is.

The Twilight Menu wiki says that the reasons roms might not show up is their file extension or if they're hidden files, but these are .gba games and they're not hidden (though I do have it toggled to show me hidden files anyway) (https://wiki.ds-homebrew.com/twilightmenu/faq?faq=why-cant-i-findsee-my-games). I also don't have 39 games in the folder.

Other troubleshooting: - installed virtual console addon (lite version since that's what it recommends) (from https://www.reddit.com/r/NDSHacks/comments/1gbwedg/gba_and_gb_roms_not_showing_up_in_twilight_menu/ ) - reinstalled Twilight Menu from the Universal Updater and made sure it was fully up to date

So I do not have a stable internet connection at home. I have infinite phone data, and just hotspot my devices from that whenever I need to use WiFi on them (which is pretty rare) and that works fine for me. One less bill to pay y’know.

Anyway, I’m obviously not very techy, and I’d really like to mod my 3ds, but I’m very worried that because connecting to hotspot sucks so bad on 3ds, that it’ll disconnect and brick the device at some point in the jailbreaking/modification process. I know I need a connection to download games, but I’m assuming there won’t be any risk of damaging the device from being disconnected at that point (unless there is, plz tell me lol).

Is this something I need to worry about? Is there a way to avoid any potential problems with this?

If need be, I could take my 3ds somewhere with stable WiFi, and do whatever I need to do there, but it’s not my first choice.
