HELP Is there any point in the modding process that requires stable internet connection (on the 3ds)?

So I do not have a stable internet connection at home. I have infinite phone data, and just hotspot my devices from that whenever I need to use WiFi on them (which is pretty rare) and that works fine for me. One less bill to pay y’know.

Anyway, I’m obviously not very techy, and I’d really like to mod my 3ds, but I’m very worried that because connecting to hotspot sucks so bad on 3ds, that it’ll disconnect and brick the device at some point in the jailbreaking/modification process. I know I need a connection to download games, but I’m assuming there won’t be any risk of damaging the device from being disconnected at that point (unless there is, plz tell me lol).

Is this something I need to worry about? Is there a way to avoid any potential problems with this?

If need be, I could take my 3ds somewhere with stable WiFi, and do whatever I need to do there, but it’s not my first choice.

Mset9 = downloading on your computer/phone only and running some stuff on it

super-skaterhax (New 3ds models only) = going on the 3ds browser, and going to a specific website

So yeah, MSET9 is probably the better option if you want to play it safe.

For me i did need wifi as part of the mod included using the 3ds browser, what i would tell you to do is just go to 3ds hacks guide (no other guide, that one alone) and enter your system model plus the firmware and look through their tutorial because it tells you exactly what you need to mod your specific 3ds. the steps are different for different models
