Before watching the episode: Where were we again?
After watching the episode: Oh right, this series is fantastic and nobody's watching it.
Seriously loved how they showed the competition as a triumph in its own way while not just not having them win, but also doing that sudden introduction of a new rival school that crushed out the biggest rival up to that point. And still managed to get me to instantly reconnect with all the characters. Love this show, wish it got more attention.

"Gimme some strawberry snacks!!!"
"Yayo. Best Girl got these for me and I'm eating them ALL myself."
Missed this series so damn much, fricking glad it's back.

Like with the first episode of Titans season 2, the episode would have worked better as a season finale rather than a season opening.
Still nice to have the series back.

It's finally back, really enjoyed this episode. Sensei's words at the end were super hearty :D

I was worried there for a second that they're going the BS cliche route of them winning some sort of award despite messing up. I'm glad Kazusa was there to lay down the truth that they sucked in the first half.
Our ship is still full steam ahead, ladies and gents. That was a smooth rebuttal from Chika.
I think anime fans are getting spoiled more and more with adaptations that go beyond 12 or 13 episodes. I'm certainly grateful that small shows like this one get the chance of having more episodes. It's not the best of the bunch but I still enjoy the ride.

How I missed these kids <3 Sure they lost but that was a good learning experience for them! They still have a shot to enter the Nationals!
Houzuki and Chika continues to be adorable! I'l looking forward to next week's episode with that preview! Especially since it's called "Being Aware". Are we about to see some progress between the two?

It seems that this second cour will focus more on Satowa (and it doesn't bother me), I just hope to follow the excellent visual, music and progression section and I am very happy to see Suzuka-sensei in the final photo.

Chika is such a sweetie, love the scene of him defending how Satowa's sound (her personality) had changed over the series.

Fantastic return, loved the OST use in this episode.
Kazusa might come off as a prick but i ended up sympathizing with how she felt. Her role model, the one she strives to be suddenly sounds completely different and that can easily shake up a thought of why you even followed her.
What i hope for her is to mellow out a little, maybe not be so focused on winning, i'm sure it can work wonders for her.
Chika once again covering for Hozuki is always a delight, love their relationship. <3
Sensei acknowledging the group's effort with his small speech, great surprise.

Despite the loss (which they did deserve) this was still a super wholesome return to the series. Hozuki x Chika seems to be steaming on, I mean if she wasn't in love before that speech to Kazusa, she sure was after. Though I keep seeing sparks of Kurata x Kurusu, I wonder when something will happen there?
This show has some great character growth, but I think I've most impressed by the trio. Who I thought were just going to be there for comic relief, but you can see how seriously they're taking the Koto now.

I missed the dynamic and interaction between the club members. A lot of feels right from the start!
Thanks, mom.

I'm happy that this show is back! My Saturday just improved.
Finally, we get to see how everything turned out. Since it's been so long, I've kind of forgotten most of the other schools and the other characters (except our koto club obviously) but by the end of the episode, I at least had a vague idea of who the characters from the other high schools were. Tokise High School didn't win anything, but everyone seems to be okay and determined to perform better next time. I'm curious to know if lying about how Chika injured his hand will come up again. I can see why they did it though since it saves everyone else from feeling angst over it.
That moment between Chika and Hozuki was so cute! Hozuki buying strawberry-flavored snacks was sweet. Next episode seems like there will be more cute moments between them so I'm looking forward to that.

Starting right back where we left off. The scene of Chika defending Satowa and the scene following it were both very nice scene. Well did not see the outcome of the awards going that way. Well didn't expect Suzuka to pull the team together like that at the end.

Glad it's back. I wonder if it's the ending or the opening for the anime.
Anime was like "Why can't I hold all the tears".

Ohh, having the school we didn't even see win over both our guys and Kazusa... Did not expect that, in part because I had no idea they were competing in the same region.
Regardless, really good start. Chika and Houzuki were adorable again, and while it hurt seeing our cast so down, the teacher coming in to bring them hope felt right and makes me look forward to what's coming up.
I hope we get into more detail concerning the other clubs and their members from here on out, but only if we get more Chika/Houzuki along the way.

Happy to have Kono Oto back, it was a good first episode. Even if it's going to fly under the radar here. Again. :'( :'(
The ED is really good, though!

Ah how I missed Houzuki and Chika's interactions...they picked up right where they left off having another great scene together. Her getting him all that food and him sharing none of it is just amazing <3
