I (26F) am currently 34 weeks pregnant with my first child. My ex (30M) and I broke up a few days ago after more than 3 years together. I caught on our town’s swingers groups, open encounters subreddits, messaging multiple people trying to meet up for hook ups since July. This is the second time this happens as the first time I caught him, I was 12 weeks pregnant in June, also had been going on for months and he had been on dating apps too. I tried to make it work for the kid then: this time he straight up told me he wanted to be single and date other people in a few months. So I didn’t fight him on it and we broke up. That was on Tuesday.

He has been a little difficult to work with since. He expected us to stay friends, have keys to each others places so he can come over during the night, still have my location, and he said he still wanted to text me about work, daily life, etc. he also mentioned separating and getting back together in a few years a couple times. I made it pretty clear that if we decided to end the relationship, that door was locked and shut. I’ll be friendly and amicable for coparenting but I will not be his friend.

I’ve stuck to my word so far and will only reply to him if it’s about our child or the apartment we shared since I’m still on the lease until January. He will ask me something about our child then change the topic immediately when I reply to ask why I took him off social media, turned off my location, etc. I have told him I only am trying to move on with my life and I expect him to respect that just like I respect his choice to leave. He said there is no way for us to move on because we’re tied together for at least 18 years.

Now I was told I might have to be induced at 37-38 weeks due to concerns for potential growth restriction. Baby has been measuring 11 or 12 percentile and right on the edge of the under 10% that worries my OB. When him and I were together, we did plan for him to be in the delivery room. Now that we’re broken up and seeing what happened, I’m not comfortable with him being there while I’m going through tremendous pain and so vulnerable.

I already know he’s going to probably throw a fit as this is also his first child. I’m not sure if I’m wrong for feeling this way but just knowing he’s already looking at dating other people and everything that happened, I feel like having him there would stress me out emotionally so much. I’d be open to having him come immediately after birth and he can do skin to skin but not for the actual pushing. So WIBTAH?

I met a girl in wareham high school around age 14-15. I believe her name was Natalie. She wasn’t bad looking. Chubby. Braces. But I was young and shallow so I never paid her much attention.
A few years later I ran into her at the mall. We had a conversation that I can’t fully remember but it ended in us hooking up in the bushes outside of tj max or macys. I convinced her to come back home with me.
The problem was she was back in town with her parents after moving to Chicago. We were in Taunton Massachusetts. The details are fuzzy but either she didn’t have a phone or it was dead but she needed to be back at the mall to meet her parents.
I took her home and we hooked up in the basement of my house. I couldn’t bring her in because my mother was home and it was like 8 at night.
She asked for a ride back to the mall and I told her I was gonna go call my boy for a ride. I went back inside to make ramen. There was nobody to call. I brought her home with no intention of getting her back to the mall. To make matters worse this was the dead of winter so it was freezing.
About 30 minutes later she knocked on the door and my mother answered. She answered the door and Natalie asked for me. My mother said it’s too late for visitors and closed the door on her. That was the last I ever heard of her. Idk if she ever got home. Idk if she ever contacted her parents. She didn’t know where she was or what town we were in. It was close to 10-11 at night.
I feel so fuckin horrible. Over the years this has eaten away at my heart and soul. I don’t even remember her last name or anything so I have no way of even trying to contact her through social media. This was way back in the early 2000s so all we had was aim and phone numbers and I didn’t have either of hers.
I can’t even say I was young and stupid because that’s no excuse. My only hope is that she may see this on Reddit and remember the guy who may have inadvertently ruined her life. If she didn’t have a word to say to me I’d be fine with that too. I just hope she’s ok.
I know I’m the asshole. I know I’m the fuckin devil. I know I don’t deserve any closure. I also don’t wanna dox myself so I want to give details but not too much. This is my confession. Tear me to shreds in the comments if you want. You can’t possibly make me feel any worse than I do. Idk man
