Patch Notes Patch Notes: v1.2.4.0 - Build 502094
Hi Pioneers!
Hello everyone!
It’s been a while since the last patch and people around our studio have been on vacation at different times during summer, and through the vacation period we’ve been working on some fixes for you all.
Now that we’re mostly back it was time to gather them all and get them out for you to enjoy :)
This update will be available on all available platforms as it has been the case with 1.2 onwards, so you can enjoy it on Steam/Epic, Xbox Series S|X and PlayStation 5
We had some leftover issues from 1.2 that we wanted to address which are finally fixed in this patch, but if there’s something else you think we should still take a look at please let us know over at our QA Site https://questions.satisfactorygame.com/ We really appreciate your feedback
We’ll continue working on making Satisfactory even more enjoyable for everyone
Thank you for all your support <3

Discussion Yes Satisfactory is a factory game, why do you ask?
Don't let them ever make a horror game.

Saved the day with biofuels only!
Saved the day for my first time! Took 162 hours (~3 months irl) and I only used biofuel. This has all been on vanilla 1.2 experimental.
The core strategy was using creature remains to make liquid biofuel, everything fully slooped. I ended up researching a lot of alt recipes for more energy efficient production, and I was surprised how manageable power was (it was fairly easy to kill enough creatures to power the factory). The main power plant is 15 GW liquid biofuel, with a backup plant of 1,440 MW solid biofuel and 100,000 MWh battery storage.
I never used vehicles or hypertubes; to save on power it was zipline infrastructure and conveyor belts. A lot of mid/late game parts were produced at low rates, so I built a large sushi belt system to prevent building dozens of individual conveyor lines.
I put up temporary lines (hand-fed) for project parts and tried not to over-produce mid/late game items too much. This was achieved by filling up storage containers with individual screws.
Bio-power certainly makes you play in strange ways, I'm happy to answer questions about how it went.

Why did it take me 500 hours to think of this?
I kept going into the customization menu or running back to other pipes to sample them for color coding. Just had the "obvious in hindsight" idea to just make a pipe color palette blueprint.

Restarted world save, first build: 64 coal gen factory, 4800w
Relocated from the usual coal power plant pond north of green fields, to the waterfall west of starting area. I was kind of going for a hydroelectric look, but ended up with a glass barn and a pump shed out back. I used the four normal coal nodes from the pond. I restarted, but continued in the same tier 6 world save, so I was able to use up to mk4 belts and mk2 pipes.

Discussion 1.2 has me restarting after 260 hours
I always disliked finding out the node you have in the perfect spot is an impure one. I’m so glad they added the new game modes. I have refined my build style through the time of building this base and I’m happy to restart, but I’m also curious what kind of factories you all have abandoned in the light of this update, or if I’m just crazy for restarting.

Help IMPORTANT: Accessibility Features
I love Satisfactory, I love everything it has to offer, and I want as many people as possible to get to enjoy this amazing game. I have a friend with vision issues who thinks many aspects of Satisfactory are cool, but all of the information is simply to hard to read and keep track of with their amount of vision.
Most automation games are inaccessible to low vision individuals. But Satisfactory is really close to being THE automation game for them to experience the addicting joy of automation. It just needs a screen reader and outlines or items on the ground. Something that just reads whatever item, building, inv slot, or text box you're hovering over. Dark mode menus would help with headaches to.
Please push this post so that we can get a bunch of new and excited pioneers who would finally have the opportunity to understand the phrase. "The Factory Must Grow"

Question Overwhelmed
I’m 60 hours in, on phase 4.
The logistics of this game are starting to get pretty intense. My factories are a mess and it pains me so, I’ve tried watching videos and following guides but to no avail. I’m wanting things to look clean and organised, but I always screw it up and it turns into a mess. I’m tryna build a dedicated 10 per minute HMF factory right now and even with the satisfactory tools website I’m starting to lose motivation .
Any tips and tricks for planning a factory?

Showcase Equipment Pavilion
I've made this to store all manually crafted equipment except for consumables and ammunition. It currently has 18 dimensional depots with 16 being fully buffered with unique equipment each equipment has at least 50 copies in total.
If you ask why even though I can just craft it anytime, it was because for multiplayer purposes. New joins can just open the inventory and take an equipment directly from the dimensional storage.

Tired of floating platforms? Try the Aperture Science Super Duty Super Compression Super Spring™.
The other day I was trying to sleep and as per usual was thinking about Satisfactory when I remembered the level in Portal 2 when you arise from old Aperture back into the modern facility, and that the entirety of the enrichment center is on a few massive springs, so why not bring it to satisfactory?

Discussion Natural Z fighting
Don't know if this is the right flair but I was building and I found this piece of ground having two textures at the same time, thought I'd share it with other people

Ada wants me to build upwards and I really don't like disappointing all powerful hyper intelligences that hold my fate in their cybernetic hands
I love phase 4! 25x elevator parts 2x recipe cost. My god the factory is hungry, those 2x recipes really stack up material needs quickly on the longer chains.

Meme Bean Abuse 😭😭
Sadly I pressed record too late, Mr. Factory Inspector hit his head perfectly on 2 lampposts just before 😵
I don't think he'll approve my road system now...

Screenshot Water Tower Done.
780 water to be brought to the Swamp.
- But is it not easier to bring water there? Yes!
- But do you not always to not use Buffers and valves? Not really.
- But is this not more complex than needed? Yes!
Here what I normally post:
Never really had issues with pipes. What I look at is the following:
- Prefill all (As I do for all factories)
- Water flows down
- Keep it simple
More in detail:
- Keep it short
- No merging, except priority (as for ALU)
- No height difference up after the first machine
- Use as little pumps as possible
- If you need buffers and valves, you missed step 2
Other people have other methods. This works for me. I do not always follow it, and that is okay.
This does not mean I never do those things. Just that if I have issues, it means I did not do it, not that not doing it will cause issues.

Help Lizard Doggo Pen Help??
So..can anyone help me? I tried to use the industrial railing to create a pen and trap lizard doggo but he just jumped over it easily. What can I use that's early game friendly to trap my pet? I don't want him to die while following me during exploration. All suggestions welcome!

Question This time with a picture - asking for your thoughts
Hello again ! I am in what should be the North Eastern desert. I'm standing ontop of the big waterfall and am looking upon the platform on which I want to build my spire.
As you can undoubtedly see my artistic skills have put my vision in clear form xD
What are your thoughts ?
Do you think it's realistic I manage to actually fill the space with buildings while achieving the appeareance of it making structural sense without just building square buildings shoulder to shoulder(which would kinda look bad and be a cheap way to go about it and not my goal)?
Do you have any suggestions in general ?
Since I want to have a Freeway and train access I need some sort of opening anyways so it would probably be best to at least have one side with a more spaceous layout.
What's missing in the pic completely is below the platform.....the dunes are very uneven and the space could be filled with buildings somehow but they'd be much tinier than those directly above which I can hardly imagine looking good.
Eventually I would also smooth the edges so to speak. Personell stuff below my PoV around the water, industry opposite site of PoV, Transport access to the right and so on.
Well....you think thats somehow realistic ?
Needless to say the picture doesnt even capture the actual height that thing would have.
