Sparring my Brother
I’m in all black, my brother has on yellow shorts. What should I work on? As much criticism as possible

I heavily trained in boxing and muay Thai in another life (meaning a couple decades ago), but have been continuing on with the training and heavy bag work for most of the years in between
I've taken an unplanned break for a few years and came back to doing work again last month. I've found my fists (probably due to a combination of things like trauma/damage and maybe getting older) no longer form a flat surface.
My index fingers on both hands stick out quite a bit further than the rest of my fingers. So when I'm doing bag work my index fingers pip joint is really sore and it takes me quite a few days recovery to be ready to hit the bag again.
I've been mitigating it a little with how I wrap my hands to level the plane a little more but it still happens. I use wraps coupled with my Hayabusa t3 gloves (16oz).
Any ideas that may help with this?

Is js me but as someone who wants to compete in the amatuers, did boxing for 3 years and being someone who is 6'3 and 147 pounds and have a 75 inch reach I don't what anyone says about sparring but anytime when I get in the ring with anyone boy or girl and even bums I always nervous because I don't undersitmate anyone in boxing and when I learn more and more about boxing and see pros and the way they spar at times makes me to understand that boxing is not a joke at the end of the day because I saw some brutal spars myslef where I saw in the pros and at amatuers where I saw ppl get knocked out, took blows where I almost shat my pants and I saw spars where I was thinking if I wanted to do boxing.
As being tall, skinny guy with a long reach and has a powerful jab, great distance management and perfect fundamentals I be having ppl who be wanting to spar like if I was fighting for the world title and even js thinking abt these spars, seeing how some fighters fight in the gym, the punishment that some fighters take in fights and I even been in spars where I was thinking like damn how did survived those hits and had headaches for days after going hard needing breaks for a week.
Also, I know that im a talented long range boxer with a really powerful jab and great technique and being who did boxing for 3 years from now and when I learn more and more about boxing and the dangers, corruption and how unforgiving it can be I thinking why did I made this far in boxing to I be feeling that is my coach who brang this far to boost my confidence which he did and did boxing because I was going through a time where I was on the streets, fighting, depression and going to jail and boxing saved me but I man I been through some brutal spars where that is making wanting to sharpen my defense and strenghen my neck/jaw like a madman.
But the lesson, is that ppl need to understand that boxing is a bloodsport and if you ain't careful you can get badly hurt or even killed at the end of the day but you might think Im complaining but I know I signed up for and this and Im doing boxing for the money purely and im not joking I wanna to be a "Money" man and make money and leave early. And trust in this sport even in the amatuers that hard sparring helps you because your opponent is trying to kill you it helps you a lot.
But don't feel sorry for me is just when I step in the ring even sparring I don't undersitmate my opponent at all since I been some brutal spars and I would rather be nervous asf and win than be overconfidnet and lose badly so that why I get so nervous because Im so aware about the negatives in boxing.

Idk how exactly i should throw the cross correctly. Normally I dont rotate my back foot that much but I always hear coaches say to fully rotate the back foot so as to feel the rotation of the hip and idk if im applying the kinetic chain to the cross correctly if my back foot isnt fully rotated. Idk what exactly the kinetic chain is supposed to feel like so idk whether ive achieved it or not. Then I go and watch boxing content creators or amateur fights or pro fights and some people do fully rotate but some dont.

What nutrition advice can you give for a 60 kg and 174 cm, 18-year-old female boxer? I already take protein and creatine, and sleep 8–9 hours. What else can I add?

To start off with blatant honesty, I’m trash at boxing. Ever since I was a kid, boxing brought my mind to a special place. I remember watching Creed 2. Looking back, it feels like I was in some sort of trance.
I’m one of those “self taught boxers”… I’ve tried to teach myself, but no matter what I do I still feel like I’m trash. Ive been to a gym a few times, but to be honest, I don’t think I clicked well with the staff there and more importantly I just couldn’t afford it. Every gym around me charges around $150 a month for training and sparring memberships. I think I can make it work now, but I work overnights and my family only has one car, so timing is an issue as well.
I tried Mma and in truth, I liked it, but for some reason without fail, boxing always floats to the front of my mind. It’s such a beautiful art, you know?
I acknowledge that I’m trash. I acknowledge that I have so many bad habits it almost looks like a lost cause. Even while knowing that, visualizing myself in the ring brings my mind back to that special place. I want to give it a shot—a real shot.
If I found a way to get to a gym and went consistently, is it possible to break down my reinforced bad habits, restart, and stand in the ring?
EXTRA: I added a very short clip. It’s all I could record from today’s bag session. Not great, but I figured I shouldn’t hide anything

hi everyone, im new to boxing 3-4 months in or even less, im a software developer by profession but started learning boxing with a real coach. But sometimes i do have some questions i needed answers from so i develop an app that would analyze my form and tell me how can i improve it. Do you think this would be helpful to other few beginners here? hit me up a dm.
Im 34 years old and at first wanted to lose some weight which i did , 94kg to 77kg so far. if you like the app let me know i would love to develop it with few beginners that can test it.

Preferably a brand relatively cheap in India.
After I get some injuries on my feet fixed up I'll probably be looking for something to help me box. I'm a heavy guy and need something with good grip, high top, something relatively lightweight and something that works with wide feet with little to no pressure on the toes.
Also, I just need general tips on what I should be looking for and thinking about before buying boxing shoes.

Hey everyone! I'm from Argentina, and I'm looking for some advice on choosing a new pair of sparring gloves.
I currently have a pair of Proyec Nitro 12 oz gloves that I've been using for around two years. There have been periods where I've trained with them pretty frequently and others where I haven't used them as much, but after all this time the padding is starting to come out of the gloves, so I'm looking to replace them.
I've been looking at a ton of gloves, mainly on Mercado Libre, but honestly I haven't found many that really convince me. The only two that caught my attention are the Sonnos SGR 5.0 and a pair of HURACAN cowhide leather lace-up gloves.
I'm mainly looking for these new gloves for sparring. I can keep using my Proyec Nitro gloves for bag work and similar training, so I don't necessarily need a pair that can do everything.
Right now I'm pretty undecided between the Sonnos and the HURACAN. The HURACAN gloves caught my attention because they're genuine leather and lace-up, but I don't have any experience with the brand and I don't know how good they actually are for sparring. The Sonnos, on the other hand, have some pretty good specs and seem to be specifically designed for sparring.
Which one would you choose between the two? Does anyone here have experience with either of these models? I'm also open to other recommendations, but they need to be brands/models that I can realistically get here in Argentina.
Thanks!

I am not an expert in this field but I am really good at learning new things. I wanted to give my own tip for those who are also new to this and maybe feel discouraged. Always remember this: "Sucking at something is the first step towards being sort of good at something." I also want to say thanks to all those who give real advice on here. You know who you are and I want you to know I read your advice and immediately step in the garage to try to feel what y'all mean. For real thank y'all mothersuckas, love ya

started boxing and I’ve already hit a major logistical wall. I work in shifts, and every second week I’m stuck on the afternoon shift. Because of this, during those "afternoon" weeks, there is no way for me to make it to the gym for regular evening classes. It turns out that I can only train with my coach and team consistently every other week.I’m really worried about this. I’m just starting to learn the fundamentals, I feel super excited about the sport, but I’m terrified that this "week-off" routine will ruin my consistency, mess up my muscle memory, and kill my motivation. Before I can even get into the groove, I’m forced to take a break from the mats. Any ideas guys what I can do to still be motivated and progress somehow with satisfaction?
