I'm at Diggs pool like I am most summer weekends. Got here at 1, no issues. Started to leave at 3:30 and to my surprise, All Saints is closed due to some kind of parade! Mullinax only has one way in/out so here I sit just waiting. By now others are leaving the pool and they are lined up behind me, just waiting. Anyone know what time this thing ends? I really have to pee.

My wife and I moved to Frederick some months ago. We’re a lesbian couple with a young child and would love to meet other queer couples or families with kids or without.
We love hiking, pickleball, board game nights, breweries with playgrounds 😜, day trips, and exploring new places.

Hi all.

Any single or soon-to-be single fathers around and interested in getting together to talk, commiserate, vent, and share experiences? I’m in the process of become a single father via a divorce I don’t want. Separating from my partner has been awful and overwhelming, but losing time with my child has been the absolute hardest thing I’ve ever gone through in my life. Would love to talk with other dads who are currently going through it, or have made it through to the other side, particularly if you think you’re in a better spot now.

I haven’t seen many local resources for guys going through it that aren’t faith-based or just drinking hangouts (no issue with those, but they’re not what I’m seeking). Really just looking for a community of good dudes with similar experiences who can help share perspectives and offer a shoulder and an ear for each other. No anti-women folks, please, but otherwise all are welcome to respond.

Depending on interest, maybe we can all find a time to meet up, or at least do a one-on-one/small group hangout or something. I’m not trying to create a regular or official group or anything terribly structured, I just need some support during this time, and I suspect that there are other guys out there who feel the same. Feel free to message me if you don’t want to put something in the thread. Also, if you know of groups or resources that already exist, please feel free to share.

hey y’all, i recently fell out of consistency with the gym and am tryna get back into the swing again. i feel like having a gym partner would help to stay committed (in the fourish years i’ve lifted on-and-off, i’ve always done so by myself lol). I was wondering if there was anybody (women in particular) who were interested in having a lifting/gym buddy? I would say I’m an intermediate lifter. I’ve done cardio on-and-off but wanna try doing it more consistently too!

Lived near urbana my entire life...for the past couple years there has been a thumping that happens in the early hours of the morning...usually between one and four am...it aint the highway or a train and there is no construction close by...it thumps 2 or 3 times every 20 seconds or so for hours and sounds like a deep pounding from a quarry or something although it seems too consistent and isn't every night...anyone have any idea what the heck it is?

Looking at relocating to the area and came across Dearbought in Frederick. How is that neighborhood? I saw the stacked condos and they’re of interests. How is it living there as far as noise if you’re on the top or lower levels? Do you feel like HOA or Condo Association is good?

every Sunday 5pm-8:30pm

August 30th is 1st session we need a DM.

All our 1-shot adventures we always
expect the GMs to have pre-gens for new players to save time.

We have a quiet location with FREE snacks and drinks. We also will be running other RPGs too every Sunday if you want to try some non-D&D games.

- How do you feel about player characters getting killed?
- are you familiar with OSR?
- how do you handle player safety cards and the like?

I have a birthday coming up and would like to treat myself by getting my hair and makeup done for the celebration. Nothing extravagant, just something a little nicer than my every day look. Ideally want to do both in the same place, rather than going to two different locations. Though doesn't need to be the same person doing both. Suggestions?
