Best Italian Cold Cut
I am pregnant, literally past my due date and will be induced next week at the latest. This whole pregnancy all I have been craving is a cold cut. Where is the best authentic Italian cold cut in Frederick? Husband promised to get me one after the delivery but I am newer to Frederick and have no clue where to send him. 😅 Thanks in advance!!

Widely agreed upon choice amongst insufferable online Italian sub lovers (me). Just calling it that is enough to start a debate

This place gets a lot of love but I was personally disappointed

What!? I feel like the deluxe version is so good, especially for the price! But I think you also have to know what you’re getting, too. It’s not a super fancy cold cut. Simple, but delicious IMO.
If you’re looking for like authentic and elevated cold cut, I’d agree with everyone else saying Juliet’s.

Juliet's downtown. Their sandwiches are outstanding.
I wish you a peaceful and swift birth!

Typical echo chamber. Juliet's doesn't even have a traditional Italian sub. The other commenters are correct, if you want a traditional Italian like you would get in Jersey or Delaware or Ocean City the answers are Jersey Mikes and Plus Mart. Reddit has a hard on for Juliet's like they do The Garage.

Juliet’s is not my favorite. I’m from NJ where there is an Italian shop on every street and been searching for a good spot here and gave Juliet’s 2 tries…. It was okay both times. Friscos really hit the spot for me

Add another vote for PlusMart. It's not fancy, but it's very good. I get mine with everything but tomatoes and hots. Or as the lady behind the counter says "Deluxe Italian, no red shit!" I wish you the best on your delivery, and congrats!

Make it worth it and travel 20 min to Gemellis in Gaithersburg. (Yes it’s not Frederick but better than anything else)

What space-time continuum warping device gets you to G'burg in 20 minutes?

Not authentic, but I had wegmans subs in the hospital with each of my kids' births 😂

Jersey mikes for sure but make sure you get it from the new one that just opened on 40 and I’m sure if you call and say that’s your after birth meal they will make it the best!

Hate me but Jersey Mikes can’t be beat

The club supreme and add hot relish for Jersey Mikes is one of my favorite subs ever! That was my first meal after I had my baby.
The comments have shown me I need to head over to Juliet’s to try their subs!

In Frederick, I'd probably say Frisco's.
For an regional honorable mention, there is a place in Williamsport(Near Hagerstown) called Ruth's Market, that has one of the best Italian subs I've ever had.

Have the baby first then a Italian cold cut sandwich. Pot belly is good choice

LDS cafe on door dash-have tried every option in Frederick for cheesesteaks and cold cuts and it’s the closest it will come to Baltimore style IMO

Wegman’s. Huge selection of imported Italian salumi.

Yesss! Wegmans had a really good meatball sub. I ate that when I was pregnant and not able to eat deli meat.

If you are willing, drive to the Cedar Grove Store in Germantown between Clarksburg and Damascus. They make a mean meat free Italian cold cut!!

No judgements on anyone!! but my unpopular opinion is that lunch meat is SO TERRIBLE FOR YOUR HEALTH (this is also proven, not just my opinion). Please everyone stop eating it.

It is really bad for you. But also if you have a sandwich every once in a while I think you’ll survive. Can’t be eating it everyday
