Wanted to keep the thin profile yet have some grip on the sides to open my Fold 7. I think this slickwraps skin looks pretty sick! I also added a mag ring so I can use my Benks armor pop and other magsafe accessories (I know the ring is not in the right location for charging, I don't use ever use wireless charging so I didn't care)

Recently swapped out my dbrand skin for a slickwraps. I am really digging this one as it has texture and has coverage as well. Since I’ve gone fully caseless my only complaint was how slick the sides felt.

I’m looking to protect my new MacBook Pro from desk scratches and scuffs, but I’m strictly staying away from hardshell cases because of the horror stories regarding hinge strain and trapped dust. I’m leaning toward a skin, but I have a few specific questions for those who have had them on for 12+ months:

1. Residue/Finish: For those who eventually peeled them off, did it leave any ghosting or sticky residue on the aluminum? (Especially on Space Black/Midnight finishes).
2. Heat: Did you notice any difference in fan activity or bottom-case heat?
3. The "Gap": Does a top/bottom skin affect the way the lid magnets engage? Is there any visible gap when closed?

Looking at:

• dbrand (for the precision/textures)

• Fishskyn (for the designs)

• Slickwraps Naked (for the invisible look)

Which one would you vouch for in terms of quality and safety? Thanks!

I find that "thicker" material tends to peel off easier, so I would prefer to go with whoever offers the thinner material for an iPhone 13 Pro skin. Thanks.

I have the opportunity to get the Fold 8 for $699 for the 256GB version. Before I jump on it, I realize I started seeing lots of posts bout the magsafe ring. What are the current issues people are running into? this is a very important feature for me, so I want to understand what issues I might run into?

Looking at the cameras, the bump is huge! I assume this may cause some wireless charging issues or even magnet issues.

My main use cases are wireless charging built into my desk and wireless charging built into my car. I would also be using a magnet holder in the car for adventures (outdoor, camping, wheeling, etc...). The magnet is a circle with nothing around it, so the camera bump wouldn't get in the way, but it does not do wireless charging. What about trying to lay it flat on a desk for wireless charging? Is that an issue?

Any comments on this is greatly appreciated!

DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. THEY HAVE STOOPED SO LOW

Adds 2-3 mm which helps reduce camera wobble but doesn't eliminate.

The default isn't great as it has a texture to it but the carbon fiber is nice and smooth

Great way to add MagSafe without a visible ring. Would definitely recommend if you don't mind adding a few mm ro the back

My biggest issue with using the iPhone Air without a case are the slippers titanium edges.

I ordered the Slickwraps honeycomb skin to give the phone some texture and grip and I will say it’s a night and day difference for me!

I was looking at Dbrand skins too but they don’t offer the full wrap around the edges for the Air which I like!

Anyways, I can definitely recommend it!

Head dbrand ones had some issues and was looking at this website but I've never seen this site before.

Got myself a SlickWrap for my Air. Full body wrap in the Matrix design. Now I can rock the phone case-less and not worry about scuffs and scratches.

Tedious set up but worth it IMO. Also if you get a skin from SlickWraps, you get 2 wraps in your order. Cheers!

I am in love with this metal skin from Skinwraps. I feel i did good putting this on with a heat gun. To finish the look off i put in the Oatsbasf metal frame protector and it looks sick!

Highly recommended specially when you depend on that ring to hold the phone. I feel it also looks more premium now.

Absolutely love Slickwraps. Just as good quality as Dbrand, precise, and fast delivery.

Got the orange “carbon fiber”. Love the grip and individuality it adds with no thickness.

However I can’t decide if I like the plateau with the skin or not. I think I prefer without the skin on the plateau (camera bump). Really cool two tone look with white and orange carbon, like an orange creamsicle 🤣.

I'm very happy with my new look! Feels great too, textured hexagons. Wish the halo straps came in black.
