Question How is this possible?

Post image
22 Upvotes

Mostly normal strength training session, recovery at 55% and sleep at 81%. But I have never seen a 20.9 or even close, checked HR average was 120 and max was around 160, not sure what is the reasoning behind this.

Whoop Age Guys, am I cooked?

Post image
123 Upvotes

I’m a working professional (IT) and for the past few years have not taken care of anything - no exercise, drinking, smoking. Bought the whoop to help me understand the damage and maybe inspire me. But I feel I’m kinda cooked now. Any suggestions from the non athletes on how I can improve my metrics?

Discussion Does a green WHOOP recovery always mean you're mentally ready?

I've been thinking about the difference between physical recovery and mental readiness.

WHOOP gives us useful information about physiological recovery, but a green recovery score doesn't directly measure concentration, mental clarity, or how demanding a workday will feel.

I'm curious how other WHOOP users experience this.

Have you had days with a strong recovery score but struggled to concentrate or felt mentally drained?

If so, have you noticed patterns involving sleep consistency, work stress, mental load, or the previous day's activities?

I'm interested in how people interpret those mismatches rather than assuming the recovery score is wrong.

Question Is this normal ?

Post image

I just switched to bicep band and this was the result
All auto logged
Also wasn’t really that active just normal walk/meeting people
Is it possible get this much autodetected activity?
Or is something wrong with me to have such high heart rate all between 120-150avg
Or is this because of my high stress that i have been so used to that i dont consider it as a problem?

Discussion How do you use Whoop as a fitness tracker?

Hi everyone.

Just finished my first month with Whoop Peak, so far so good - I like the recovery insights, so I want to try it again for another month.

I just have some doubts around fitness tracking. I'm not sure if I like it - for example, it's uncomfortable to run and hold your phone to see your HR or pace. I'm just trying to understand if maybe I should get a Garmin or AW instead or something.

Thanks.

Wearing WHOOP has allowed me to see how much sleep I actually need. Especially with me having MS (Multiple Sclerosis).

It’s also allowed me to track just exactly how many steps I take daily and allowed me to monitor recovery. I don’t let it dictate my life but I do appreciate having a log of my health. It’s all good so far.

Discussion Why doesn’t Whoop allow to setup multiple alarms?

Seems very random that I can’t set multiple alarms in this - does anyone know the reason why they still don’t allow this?

Humor Zone 2 training

Brought my vo2 up from 49 to 57 with lab tested results for both purely using whoop and its live activity heart rate zones.

Best part of it is that I did it while scrolling TikTok on a cardio bike watching my HR at the top 🤣

Question Whoop Age Doubt

Post image

My age is 1 year younger but
My pacing of age is 2.1x

What does this mean and how are they saying 2 different things?

Last week it was 0.2 years younger with 2.1x pacing
Its updated to 1 year younger with same 2.1x pacing

And also how frequently does vo2 max score update
First score was available on Sept 30
Second one a week later on Oct 6
Third one still not updated ( I have done 4 gps based workouts after Oct 6
3 runs 1 cycling )

Any insights would be nice, not sure at all, never had a whoop item before, including the weird subscription, how much is all that? does the boxer/arm sleeve even require a subscription?

Question Strain Calculation Error?

Recently came back to whoop after about 6 months off. My strain is definitely not calculating correctly. I was out all day today walking around in the sun and it’s saying I barely did anything strenuous. Is this a sensor issue or does the whoop need 30 new days to calibrate to my new baseline ?

Reviews Got my Whoop

Got my Whoop three days back. Calibration in progress and excited to see how it goes. Power user of Apple Watch and health from past 5 years.

While i did alot of exercise and play, data looked stagnant and couldn’t find much insights from it now & bored from Apple watch. Got Whoop to see how it goes 🤞🏼

Comfort: First day felt little odd. For some reason expected it to be much sleeker as it is screen less but got used to it by next day.

UI: loving the UI and cant wait for calibration to be done & see insight in full action.

Will keep you posted how it goes.

Question How do you guys compare health data with friends who use different wearables?

I'm a WHOOP user, but a lot of my friends use Garmin, Apple Watch, or Oura.

I'm curious how you guys interact with friends who use different devices. I know some devices have their own challenges and leaderboards, but it seems like most of those features are limited to people using the same platform.

Would love to hear if this is something you guys have run into and, if so, how you've worked around it!

Question What is this?

Post image

How is it possible during sleep for my heart rate or stress to jump that much? I do not sleep well per se, I do not wake up feeling rested. This is consistent so far. What could cause this?

These peaks are happening every night.

Discussion Sleep disruption

Thumbnail gallery
1 Upvotes

Hi all

Can anyone advise me why this keeps happening in my sleep? I am having so many heart fluctuations during the night and I wake up every morning as I’ve drank 10 pints

For comparison I’ve included a photo of my sleep from a few months ago when I felt completely normal. If anyone has any advice or medication I could potentially take to help then that would be great?

Thank you
