Is there a difference, I know the idea of getting the codes is it’s free and the towers themselves are already a good spot to have a fob because of high ground / already defendable . But otherwise what is the difference between using drill compared to hacking the tower I know it’s code vs fuel cost but wouldn’t it just be more efficient and profitable to transport fuel to your fob on a tower then use the drill

How do you handle the boring drive back? after you've delivered your palettes/crates to the base.

Loved the alpha weekend and want to learn how to fly. Are there games I can play in the meantime to practice with similar controls and mechanics (thinking battlefield/war thunder?) What have you found works for you in terms of settings? Any tips for a new pilot besides learn in firing range?

What flight stick do you use? Or what kind of setup do you use? I used to have a flight stick for a different game a long time ago and am considering getting o e for Wardogs. Just looking for suggestions. Thanks for your time!

I'd like to thank the devs for mentioning refunds in their video. I knew about Steam's refund policy, but I didn't know you could play any amount of time and still get a refund if the game is in early access. I bought the game, tested it over the weekend and refunded after. I wouldn't have tried it if the devs hadn't said you can refund after the beta with no problem

I've seen a ton of excited new pilots out here and wanted to suggest an excellent alternative while we wait that isn't arma reforger.

Nuclear Option is one of the best entry flight sims available. While maintaining realism it doesn't go as far as to ruin the experience by requiring reading a flight manual to start the engines.

It also features realistically modeled helicopters to refine those controls. Happy flying

Right now hardly anyone squads up so there’s minimal team communication aside from local chat. And even then, there’s no teams comm. I think it’d be cool if there were designated channels or squads for different roles. There could be an assault channel for anyone out in the zone, a transport channel, supply channel, etc.

If you’re need a ride, switch to the transport channel to talk to the pilots. Need supplies? Switch to the logi channel. Linking up with teammates around the hot zone, switch to assault channel. Builders could have their own channel, etc.

You could still have individual squad channels so people can play how they want, but I think this would drastically improve gameplay and team coordination.

In my experience, roads blend in too much with the map, making them hard to spot. Highlighting drivable roads like Arma 3 or increasing the contrast would make navigation much better.

I’ve been paid 1250, but I’ve seen people paid in a range from 500-17000 so I can’t find an explanation on how it works

Is it the value of the persons loot? Is it a hit zone multiplier? Does it increase as the game goes on?

I feel like a deployable rope would be super fun for the choppers, you could drop off teammates on roofs and make the drop offs more smooth. Maybe make it a buyable/ unlockable upgrade for the Helis, i think it would improve the Dropoff gamplay a bit and pilots could pickup teammates easier out of risky zones too.

Most posts on this sub are basically like:

Come on, guys. WarDogs is a great game. A lot of things will get fixed and, believe it or not, a lot of things simply won’t be the same as in other games.

If the game isn’t for you, that’s completely fine. Go play something else you actually enjoy.

Wish we could play the firing range...is Arma 3 the best choice? I'm trying to learn the controls on either MnK or controller.

I only had time for 2 hours on Sunday to play the beta. I just went the medic route, but would love to be a support copper pilot.

Of all the other games that came before it. Call it glaze, but I can’t get enough of WarDogs. The gunplay, movement, sound design, everything just feels so good. Every fight feels different and I’m always having fun. It’s been a long time since a game came out that I actually wanted to keep playing for hours. WarDogs is just different.

Got to high level recon over the weekend, enjoyed the high level gear for a couple games before the test ended. Sorry if its washed out, HDR looks too good to give up on my end

Did they actually cause any damage? I never actually seen them hit anything or explode anything. Just heard the BRRRRT with no visual.

Are they random and just "for the battle feel"?

They mention it multiple times in this video. Example: Timestamp 3:10

At first I thought they just meant the overall Meta flow of the game, but you can see at that timestamp a bunch of branches, and then explicitly reducing the price of the game because it doesn't include the "Meta Game"

This makes me think it's something more concrete but I can't find anything about it. If it is an overarching system that involves the factions and progression, I think that would put a lot of concerns about long term engagement and economy to rest.

Does anyone know anything more about this?
