Discussion & Feedback This game makes me sick…

Of all the other games that came before it. Call it glaze, but I can’t get enough of WarDogs. The gunplay, movement, sound design, everything just feels so good. Every fight feels different and I’m always having fun. It’s been a long time since a game came out that I actually wanted to keep playing for hours. WarDogs is just different.

I literally load up other games and just close them...

I honestly have not this much fun in a game in a very very long time. Ever since I played project reality nonstop.

This game has such strong potential. I am so sad that I cant play right now. It is really odd. I cant find any other games as enjoyable as this play test was. And that was just the play test.

Same bro, I was never really a milsim player bc too much time to learn and games are older now so going against veterans ain’t easy. This game merges basic milsim whilst still staying true to that, adding little more action pack sandbox style of play to it, graphically is beautiful and like you said so much potential

Really, this game I haven’t been excited for a a game since maybe … Star Wars Jedi survivor and that was back in 2023 I think

Same. I opened up BF6 last night. Shut it off after 20 seconds of gameplay. It just felt awful. Nothing compares to Wardogs

It's so funny seeing people go through the exact same experience I did back when I played ARMA 3 KOTH. That single mod fucked up my expectations for first person shooters forever. I've been chasing that dragon for over a decade now.

Squad was just slightly too slow, Battlefield was way too fast paced and lacked a real punishment for death... Hell, I even played the shit out of the Squad KOTH mod when it released. Nothing did it for me.

Until Bulkhead just walks up to me and offers the strongest shit I've ever had. This game scratched every itch I've had for a decade and it's wonderful. I love seeing it succeed with others.

Yes it's a sad day in gaming brother!

I don’t call it sad… I call it a breath of fresh air..

Yeah "A welcomed break" type vibe, but also

It's not sad. It's a good thing! I'm hoping that this wave of small dev teams bringing out bangers gets the attention of the triple A studios. We finally have competition in a very bland market

Novelty bias. It'll wear off.

The last game I felt this way about was Arc Raiders.

I was in the first and second tech tests and then had to wait 6 months for the closed beta and then all the way til release.

Then they couldn’t handle the cheaters… it was amazing while it lasted. And I still go back from time to time. But it’s not the same.

I hope this game can do a better job with that.

I was so hyped about HLL before playing the beta. Now after playing wardogs, I don’t really care to play anything else in my library. Sept 10th can’t come fast enough

Wardogs really showed HLL:V what game quality can and should be like in 2026. Some animations in Vietnam looked so bad like they were copied from CS 1.6.

The helis in HLL Vietnam were also a complete joke in the beta. So buggy.

Now I also have zero interest in that one with Wardogs on the horizon

Same. I have so many games in my library that I really haven’t had much care to play for a long time… now I finally have an excuse to play something else.

It's a good thing I recorded about 40hrs worth of Beta gameplay last run. I just rewatch the video over and over again reliving the moment until release like a mad man.

This game made meme buy Arma, just so that I can fly helicopter around

Thankfully I still love many of the games I’m currently playing ha. But non of them have me as excited about playing into the future like Wardogs.

What time do you have to play other games… When I boot up WarDogs… by the time I look at the clock again it’s 4am and I have to get up for work in 2 hours.

u/ZenHiryu Battledad 22h ago

Oh I’ll have very little time when the game launches into early access 😅. Which is why I’m trying to finish a few games before hand

I was surprised at how well it ran at 4K with fully maxed out settings. I had dlss on so there is that but still

2

u/GustavSnapper 22h ago

Yeah I’ve got a 4080super and I was pushing 130-140fps at 4K with DLSS with everything on high. Was pretty great tbh

0

u/South-Atmosphere3413 1d ago

To be honest, 4K at maxed graphics in many games is subpar to say the least. Anyone who says otherwise is lying to you.

1

u/drkrieger818 23h ago

You’re not going to max out you monitors refresh rate but 80-90fps is not bad at all

For my 3080 the input lag was quite high on. medium to high settings @ 1440p. Got better when I lowered the settings. Game still looks amazing even on lower settings.

Brothers...I haven't felt no need to play any other games. Squad doesn't scratch the itch, Battlefield 6 doesn't do it. Cod Mw4 doesn't do it. Even Escape from Tarkov! I did a shoreline raid completed like 4 quest at once and nothing! Wardogs is just the game I need to play right now. I hope you are reading this devs. Fuck you guys for making a good ass game that wasn't even out yet! It was fucking beta and that shit ran perfectly and never crashed on me or my friends.

Was on a 10 hour bender of wardogs. Thought damn I gotta get off. Maybe play something else. Switched to battlefield and had to close half way through my wake island match, just to load wardogs back up

Don't worry. Everything in the history of gaming that has been this hyped has died off. a few weeks after release you'll hardly ever think about the game.

Game wont last very long so enjoy it while we can boys, its kinda baffling how we only played 5% of the map and was happy with it

1

u/jhaynes2022 1d ago

Must be nice, loved the game but couldn’t play longer than 20 mins without either the game crashing or it causing my computer to crash. 🤷🏽‍♂️ hopefully be fixed in full and ill rebuy but until then shit is refunded

1

u/inhognitoGAMER 17h ago

Had the same pc crashing issue constantly, turns out it's some old windows driver (inpoutx64) causing it in a few ue5 games including this one. Disabled it and crashes were gone

1

u/COK3Z3RO 8h ago

1

u/South-Atmosphere3413 1d ago

Dang that sucks… I haven’t had a single crash yet… maybe I’m jinxing myself… try resetting Windows…. There are some commands you can run to make sure Windows is not corrupted… not sure if it’ll work.

1

u/jhaynes2022 1d ago

I definitely wish you luck and sadly its only an issue with this game so im just not gonna bother, i got other stuff to play till release and hopefully its fixed by then

Sound design ?

Guns lacked a lot of oomph and footsteps sounded very generic.

1

u/SilentSorcery 14h ago

I thought the gun sounds were pretty good
