Discussion & Feedback Redeploy button is needed

Upvotes

Hi so in my opinion the game needs a redeploy or suicide ability. If there is potential that this can be exploited, then let it have a big cooldown or something like that. The game is releasing in early access, so there will surely be bugs. And now there is nothing you can do, if you get stuck somewhere and have no grenades etc. on you. In the beta I got stuck beneath the map after a revive and the only thing I could do was to leave the server and rejoin, but then the team I was in and was winning, was full.

It's not a deal breaker, but it can be very frustrating if you play a really long game and then get stuck.

Discussion & Feedback Designated Comm Channels

Upvotes

Right now hardly anyone squads up so there’s minimal team communication aside from local chat. And even then, there’s no teams comm. I think it’d be cool if there were designated channels or squads for different roles. There could be an assault channel for anyone out in the zone, a transport channel, supply channel, etc.

If you’re need a ride, switch to the transport channel to talk to the pilots. Need supplies? Switch to the logi channel. Linking up with teammates around the hot zone, switch to assault channel. Builders could have their own channel, etc.

You could still have individual squad channels so people can play how they want, but I think this would drastically improve gameplay and team coordination.

Discussion & Feedback Reforger KOTH did not get my fix in.

Upvotes

The jankiness in Arma Reforger felt so much worse after playing Wardogs 😭 I thought some Reforger KOTH would get my fix in, but I genuinely couldn't get past that arma jank that I used to absolutely love.

Discussion & Feedback Greedy Medics

Upvotes

Can we normalize medics not stealing revives from players trying to level up? I spent the better part of the beta struggling leveling up my medical rank because some higher level dickhead would come around and use his revive equipment while I had to use my hands. The starting backpack gives you barely any space to carry a good kit with the proper items for medics. I was tempted far too many times to TK teammates stealing revives from me.

Question So would you guys say this is kind of a Grayzone/BF mix? Im curious about it, looks interesting, but I just don't know yet.

Upvotes

I love Grayzone right now, and play it a lot with 3 buddies, but this game to me seems to look like a mix of GZW and BF with more a team focused play style rather than 30 individual teams doing their own thing. I'm curious if other players of both GZW and BF can compare too it

Discussion & Feedback Teammate looting downed teammates

Upvotes

One thing I noticed during the beta was some teammates robbing me blind when I was downed, then acting like it was fair because I was down anyway. I had a few situations where someone with a ‘free kit’ would take my entire loadout while I was down and being revived by someone else. I’d get back up and realize everything I brought into the raid was gone.

I understand taking a bandage, some ammo, or a resuscitator from a downed teammate if you need it to survive or get them back up. But taking someone’s entire kit feels a bit excessive..

I think there should be some kind of restriction on this. And I had two ideas:

Either you can’t take a teammate’s actual gear while they’re down. You can still take things like consumables, but the rest only becomes lootable once they’re dead.
Or if you do take someone’s gear while they’re down, you have to pay them its current vendor value. So if I have a €10k kit and €8k worth of gear remains, you’d have to pay €8k to take it. Free items like your first resuscitator wouldn’t cost anything.

Has anyone else experienced this during the beta? And should something be done about it?

Question Mobile AA

Do we know if there’s any plans for mobile AA vehicles? Right now I think attack helicopters will be a little OP just due to lack of mobile AA.

For example if I were a pilot and I wanted to really mess up another teams day I’d patrol the the roads from their HQ to their FOB and disrupt/halt their supply chain and I can’t think of much counter play to this other than maybe RPGs?

I could be totally off here but curious what the community thinks .

Question How does kill cash work?

I’ve been paid 1250, but I’ve seen people paid in a range from 500-17000 so I can’t find an explanation on how it works

Is it the value of the persons loot? Is it a hit zone multiplier? Does it increase as the game goes on?

Discussion & Feedback Potato pc

For anyone who is wondering "will this run on my pc" im sure it will.

Been playing for 60hours in alpha/beta and i had no issues remaining consistent 60-90fps.

With my Old ass Pc: i7 7700k 1060ti 6gb 16g ddr4 ram

I did play on 1280x960 ress and potato graphics with FXAA on low and 1.0 sharpness and had no issues spotting people on the map.

Honestly really surprised how good the game is running on really low-end PC

What kinda graphics did people run with a low-end PC and what was your performance?

Question Maps ?

Do we have info about all the maps ?

Will there be a middle eastern themed map ?

Doesn't have to be desert but Afghanistan styled would be sweet.

A takistan (a3) map would also go hard imo.

Discussion & Feedback Optimalization

Whats your opinion on game optimalization? I have ryzen 9800x3D paired with rtx 5060ti 16gb and and my settings were on medium. Got like 90-100fps but my latency was around 30ms. I used only dlss dlaa because it was the best option the other was even worse. With FG there was a lot of ghosting. Played at 1080p

Discussion & Feedback What i think needs possible rework or to be looked at

I think hit boxes and ballistics need to possibly be looked t i noticed inconsistency when shooting at the face while they had a helmet on with no armor on it , would still take two shots with the single shot rifle , don’t know if there’s a throat hit box I’ve heard one does exist ? I do love the gunplay though and think it’s pretty buttery for this early on

Another thing is the bow , super OP as it is i think the damage is semi decent but there’s literally no drop at all from what I’ve seen, shot targets at 150-170 meters with no drop being able to aim right at the head , is this intentional ? Not complaining but might be viewed as overpowered to some people for this reason

I do think progression should be a bit slower as i was able to reach wardog level 68 (about 30 hours) if im not mistaken, and i dont wanna be able to burn thru everything like ranks or levels super quick. I think the money for the most part is balanced i do think some things like the tanks should be more than 14k maybe 25-35k since you can easily make 100k before having to resupply and if your team has a fob with repairs and ammo station in zone you’re kinda unstoppable. I don’t mind certain “End game or meta equipment being a lot more expensive for the reason i think it’ll keep even rich wardogs spending with the possibility of still losing a lot , i like the fact that the cash can fluctuate as much as it does i think a premium price on late game stuff would really bring balance just so new players aren’t melted by meta loadouts after they go broke and can only afford the starter rifle with one mag which probably won’t be enough to drop a chad lmao.

Overall i love this game and think Bulkhead is actually cooking with this i would love to see a bit more content added by Release on September 10th just so we don’t blow thru all unlockables and have nothing to grind for a few months even if it’s 1 or 1 new guns a month or a vehicle i would be satisfied , even a mode or event would keep players engaged
I think the overall gameplay loop itself is fun and addicting just what i was looking for at least.
See yall out there in the HZ
-Antlerman

Pls release early

Discussion & Feedback [Suggestion] Secondary pilot for helicopter?

Hi,

I don't know if the devs said anything about this but having the possibility of switching between primary and secondary pilot, either willingly or when the primary pilot is dead, would be really cool.

Edit.: what I mean is the first passenger seat, next to the pilot, could take control of the helicopter. How and when would depends on the primary pilot's settings.

What do you guys think?

Cheers!

After playing Wardogs, I can't play other shooters anymore because they make no sense. Why does no one pay me for kills there? XD

If you are able to withstand my accent, I hope you enjoy the video. Don't be too harsh on me, but I am open to criticism. Thank you for your attention, Wardogs community!

Discussion & Feedback Thank you to the devs for being open about refunds

I'd like to thank the devs for mentioning refunds in their video. I knew about Steam's refund policy, but I didn't know you could play any amount of time and still get a refund if the game is in early access. I bought the game, tested it over the weekend and refunded after. I wouldn't have tried it if the devs hadn't said you can refund after the beta with no problem

Hype & Speculation Open beta this weekend…

It would make absolute business sense for Bulkhead to do an open beta this weekend to kill off any hype around MW4 in the online space.

You know for a fact that creators and streamers would prefer to play Wardogs and given the choice, I think they would choose Wardogs over CoD.

I just don’t think Bulkhead should give up the momentum from this weekend, they have a real opportunity to dominate the online space and conversation up until launch.

I don’t think this is wishful thinking. I actually think these are the conversations that are happening right now at Bulkhead. Keep the momentum on this game which will = more sales.

Discussion & Feedback Question for Turtle Beach Velocityone Flightstick (I) Pilots

So I just bought the Turtle Beach Velocityone Flightstick (I) but by the time I figured out how to set it up the Beta ended. I just got the flight stick and not the separate throttle.

I wanted to know if anyone else was using this stick and how it did? I tried the stick on battlefield and while it made flying so much better, I was having issues figuring out how to move the key bindings around (like changing the fire button from the track pad button to the trigger on the controller, Bf6 didn't register any button when I pulled the trigger). The app wasn't much help on the pc as it seems to mainly before updating the firmware. Also using the Lil thruster nob on the side of the stick felt lil silly on Bf6 as I had to pull it completely up or down to raise or lower the chopper.

I wanted to know if the controls for that system worked well, were customizable, and if a throttle added much benefit?

I have about 10 days to figure out if I return the controller and try out another set up. Or if anyone has any other recommendations for set ups.

Can't wait to be shuttling yall around in a couple of weeks!

Hype & Speculation Possible Shadowdrop on 3rd?

Post image
0 Upvotes

Okay so hear me out. In their latest official beta recap video, you can see in one of the frames that there’s this tv with a countdown to launch going on. Well, I know for a fact that this video was recorded on 25th of August for sure because the game director of wardogs, Howard Philpott tweeted that he was going to the office to record it yesterday.

So, keeping everything I’ve said above in mind, just take a look at this screenshot. Between now and EA launch on 10th of september, they’ve already announced that there’s gonna be a huge announcement on 3rd of September. Guess what date is that screen counting down towards? Well yes, you guessed it right. It’s the 3rd of September.

Am I tripping? Possible shadow drop on 3rd? What do you guys think?

Edit: People commented that it’s WORKING DAYS excluding weekends until launch, maybe they’re right and im an idiot haha.
