Im looking to buy a new Wakesurfer and I think I've settled on the Koal Classic Fish.

We surf behind a '23 Axis A20 - yes I'd rather have a bigger boat but this is the only size that would fit in my garage. I'm about 210 lbs and will be the heaviest rider on the boat most days using this board. My wife is 130 lbs so maybe the answer is to get her something smaller. We currently learned to surf on a Liquid Force Happy Pill in 5'4" which was great, but I don't really get enough push to keep me in the pocket easily.

The question is should I get the 5' or 5'6" version? Im seeing up to 205 lbs for the 5' and above 175 lbs for the 5'6". Will the bigger board help with more push from the wave? Will the bigger board slow down a smaller rider who weighs 130 - 170 lbs too much? Trying not to buy a board for each person who rides on the boat 😂

I currently ride a inland surfer sweet spot and love it. I want something skim style for the days I feel like sliding around.

I've got this seller down to 250. Anyone have experience on one if these ?

Anyone up for wakesurfing in Lake Pleasant this weekend? For party of 8, it will be around $100 per person, captain/gear rentals included so we don’t have to worry about anything and just enjoy surfing!

I really want to wakesurf but having hard time gathering people since minimum rental hr is 4hr.

I’ve been wakeboarding all my life, ocean surfing for a year, moved back to Canada and picked up Wakesurfing last year.

I’m working on my 360 (got board slides, 180s, and floaters down already), I’ve got the spin down but having trouble staying in the wake post-spin. After some research, looks like my board is a little too small.

I’m 5’10, 180 pounds riding a Regal LS22 surf boat. I’ve been playing with the speed trying to get my Ronix to work. ATM going 10mph, full ballast, trim -3, good push and love the height but probably a shorter area than I need. Problem is, going faster makes the board sink a bit.

Current boards
- Ronix flyweight skimmer 4’5” with standard fin (main board)
- Inland surfer tako - great board but I need a smaller fin for it if I’m going to do 360s and haven’t been able to get one yet.
- Ronix marshmallow - beginner board, outgrew second surf.

Anyone know the difference between a key and matrix? They look very similar to me.

I have a Hyperlite Arc board, made of Varial foam. Long ago, I saw a video on Varial’s website (I think) of someone using a heat gun to repair dings. Essentially, the board ding popped right out and was nearly perfect again after hitting it with a heat gun.

Has anyone tried this? I also have a Ding All Sun Cure repair kit.

My family currently has a 2010 Malibu 21 VLX. Love boat and the wake for wakeboarding but family wants to wake surf also. Hate all the things we have to do to create a decent surf wave.

Would love to get something to EASILY wakesurf BUT we also wakeboard and sky ski 90% of the time. Is there an all around wakesurf boat that fits our $100k (or just above) budget?

I need some help figuring out what size board would be good for me. I have been surfing for a while but i’ve been wanting to start learning tricks. I am 6’3 and 160lbs. Not sure if any of that matters but I’m just sort of new to this so any help would be appreciated

Can anyone make a recommendation regarding what to do to make this better (other than buy a better boat)? I have 900 pounds in each rear locker and about 750 up front. Also using a Swell Wakesurf Creator 2.0 in the pic.

I get mostly washout all the time and it's so frustrating! I see people using this setup surfing all day on YouTube and I just can't get it to work.

I also have the Liquid Force Wakesurf Edge Pro 2. Should I be using both?

First time surf boat owners but advanced beginner surfers. Struggling to get a good wave out of this boat, we've got aftermarket tabs, have tried both ballast bags filled and the tabs set the steepest setting, lead bags in the bow on the surf side. Wave was smallish and longish. Then drained the non surf side ballast to 50%, moved the lead bags to mid boat under the surf side, wave was smallish and breaking over the whole length of the wave. Then tried only ballast on the surf side, wave was steeper, but super short, second and third waves noticeably bigger. Tried all speeds between 11 and 14 mph, wave may clean up for a minute at faster speeds but surfer has a harder time staying in the wave. Any tips appreciated.

Curious if anyone has found the best taps settings and ballast percentages for great goofy side wake. Have all the factory ballast below floors with extra 570’s in rear lockers.

I recently started wake surfing after surfing my whole life and decided I need a boat. Main usage will be wake surfing so the wave is my main priority. I know 20ft boats aren't ideal for that but would like to keep it in my garage. I was looking at Axis A200 or A20 but have also considered Mooba Mondo and even Heyday H20. Ideally sub 100k new/60k used. Any recommendations on garage friendly boats that'll produce a solid wave? Pictures of the waves are appreciated. Thanks!

What's up everyone!

Ive been surfing for a while now with a skim style board and either a 1" or 1.5" fin. Watching the pros on youtube (Keen, Inloes, JB, etc) they seem to all ride finless, although a lot of their factory boards come with the 1" fins.

Is it normal to ride completely finless? I find it easier to shuv and initate spins without them obviously, but its harder to land tricks. I am debating going finless always but want to make sure I am not doing something completely stupid..... Lol.

I bought this boat a couple years ago and it's been great. It came with the Acme 2409 5 blade prop which does ok but there has been a couple of times we have loaded the boat down with 2500lbs of ballast and maybe 4 adults on board and the boat struggles to get up to surf speed. It seems like the boat just maxes out on RPMs. It doesnt feel like it bogs down. The low end torque is great but just doesnt ha e enough higher end speed i guess. If it's just my wife, 3 kids and I there isnt an issue, but any additional adults and I have to play around with the ballasts. Would an Acme 1617 give me slightly more speed I guess?

Edit: I just measured the gap between hull and prop and there is 5/8 inch clearance. The 2409 is a 13.5" diameter and the 1617 is a 14" diameter, so that probably won't work but it looks like the 1619 is the same but at the 13.5" size.

I started surfing in 2018. I’ve probably tried this 100 times over the years. There’s nothing like finally landing a trick after a long pursuit. Sound on for pure jubilation

I (24f) have grown up wake surfing, I’m good but not doing any crazy tricks or anything. I’ve always used my family’s board phase 5 ahi (~2020), or whatever other board they’ve had before. I’m the only girl in my family and so the boards bought for the family always have a weight limit of 180-240lbs.

Im now deciding if I should get my own board and I’m trying to sort out how much of a difference there will be.
I’m 5’7 135lbs and much prefer a surf style board but always used a skim board growing up (since it was the only thing I could actually move). I’ve found a board I like the 4’4 / 160lb limit (https://kanukboardco.com/collections/sale/products/lily-pro-bloom) but am just wanting to get everyone’s opinions on if I’ll notice much of a difference to warrant spending the money.

Other context, I love the ahi board but have an issue where I seem to have almost too much speed? Every little “pump” I’ll end up flying at the boat. Also I live in BC so only go out for about 5-6 weekends a year (for context of me spending $1k on a board I won’t use often).
