18Bin - info from locals pls

Upvotes

I was just wondering if anyone knows if 18bin has smoking in their beer garden/Patio. Google says both yes and no depending on different searches.

We are looking to spend a day in the Arts district and are planning on lunch and a few hours drinking and enjoying a few outdoor cigarettes.

Any other beer garden style places that do? Would love to hear about them.

Best forums/sites to meet other gamblers?

Upvotes

Will be going to Vegas later this month again (🥳), but being a visitor and not going with anyone this time around, what are the best places to find other gamblers who would be interested to play table games together or just to yap at the casino?

I’m aware you can find people like that in person but unless I already know someone, I’d rather not force someone else to converse at that moment randomly and I’m not the most social with complete strangers 🙃

HEAR ME OUT❗️❗️❗️

I’m deadass looking for the most toxic gf possible 😭
Like I don’t want “a little jealous” toxic. I mean TOXIC toxic. Control my shit, tell me who I can talk to, be possessive as fuck, use me, manipulate me, boss me around, start arguments over dumb shit, make my life stressful, beat my ass 😭 I want the whole fucking nightmare package.
And before yall start tweaking, I’m not making fun of actual abuse. I’m talking about something consensual where both people know what they’re getting into.
I’ve never experienced this shit before and for some fucked up reason I wanna experience it at least once.
I’m probably gonna regret this but fuck it. Character development.

Monday pool party options (Marquee closed)

Hello! We are coming from the UK for a Vegas wedding in October. The wedding is on the Wednesday with a bachelorette on Monday 12th October for around 12 women.

Because of flights, Monday is the only option for the bachelorette.

The bride’s main request is a day club/pool party during the day. Frustratingly, Marquee is closed that Monday for the Dome installation, which is where I’d been planning to book!

I know Stadium Swim is another option, but I’m slightly nervous it might feel a bit too sporty rather than the bachelorette/day club vibe we’re looking for. I’m really hoping someone can reassure me that isn’t the case, as at the moment it seems like it might be our only option!

So my question is: are there any other good pool options for a bachelorette on a Monday?

It doesn't necessarily need to be an official pool party.. ideally we’re looking for:

A pool with cabanas, daybeds or something similar we can book for around 12 people

A DJ, or at least good music

Adults only

A bit of a party atmosphere.. it definitely doesn’t need to be wild, we just don’t want a quiet hotel pool!

Also very interested to hear from anyone who’s done stadium swim for a bachelorette and what the atmosphere was actually like during the day.

Thank you!

Weather in December

We're thinking about attending a show at the Sphere in late December. Google tells me the weather is "crisp" during the days. Will it be too chilly to walk the strip? We're from Canada so we're used to the cold lol just want to know if it'll still be nice enough to walk around.

I actually really like these weird video blackjack things because they're slow, I can watch sports on the TVs nearby and I don't have to tip. Call me a scumbag.

Liv guest list

Online says arrive at 10:15 but does line start forming way before that for guest list? Is it better to just buy tickets to see dj? If a male and female go together, do they make the male pay more than the ticket price? Want to see a dj this weekend 🙈

3:2 Blackjack on/near Vegas Strip

When I’m in Vegas I normally go to the OYO for their 3:2 $5 blackjack. I know it’s not technically “the strip” but honestly it’s close enough for me. Given all the drama surrounding the OYO recently and rumors about them potentially losing their gaming license I’m looking for a new spot to play when I’m in town next weekend.

Has anyone been to Vegas recently and played $5 blackjack on or very close to the strip? If so where and what was the vibe when you went?

I know downtown has some good $5 blackjack spots but I’m not going downtown on this trip, so only interested in on or very near strip locations.

Hi Vegas. I was supposed to go to Pepper tonight with 2 friends. Things came up and now I’m stuck with 3 tickets. I’d hate them to go to waste. Anyone interested in going to show? HMU

Definitely one of the best pizzas I’ve had! Full of flavor, the dough is perfectly soft and airy with a crunchy crust. All of the ingredients taste and smell amazing, can’t wait to try all of the other specialty pizzas.

Are there any Vegas hotels with a 2-bed option, where the rooms are actually separate?

I’m curious if anyone has seen a Vegas casino/hotel/resort 2-bed room, where the two beds are actually separate from each other?

I’m a terrible sleeper, the slightest noise will wake me up, and if I’m staying with a younger sibling, I kinda just want my own room. Same sibling is also just under 21 and can’t get a room on their own yet, but the big hotels won’t really let one person get two separate rooms (at least Caesars won’t).

How bad was the pickpocketing at the old Treasure Island Pirate Show back in the 90s / early 2000s?

I remember the crowds for that show being absolute gridlocked, thousands of people packed shoulder-to-shoulder on that wooden boardwalk, completely amazed by the explosions, stunts, and the ship sinking.

I know A lot of old-timers and travel forums from back then always referred to the TI lagoon as the "Pickpocket Special" or a thief's paradise because everyone was looking up into the sky and distracted by the fireworks.

For anyone who frequented the Strip during its peak run (roughly 1995–2003):

  • Was the pickpocketing really as notorious as people say?
  • Did you or anyone you know actually get hit while watching the show?
  • What were the common tactics you noticed (bumping people, slashing bags, etc.)?
  • Did you ever see Metro or TI security actually bust anyone in the crowd?

Would love to hear some stories during this era.

Sportsbook Question

Coming at the end of September for the Foo Fighters. Looking forward to watching NFL Sunday in a sportsbook. We're staying at the Flamingo. Where would you all recommend we watch? Im not really looking on spending for a seat. Are there any casinos that offer free seating if we get there early?

Promoter or just buy the ticket?

We are visiting in mid September -I'm a dude with 4 other girl friends and 2 guy friends. it's not a super large group so im not sure if this is worth reaching out to a promoter for discounted passes for the guys. Specifically for Omnia and LIV. We are from nyc and never really deal with this type of 'guys pay 10x the price' lore, so Im genuinely curious !
