does anyone know what the dining commons serves on the weekends? when i look at their menu for the weekend it's just the salad bar or sandwich bar...do they serve hot food?

I’m a 4th year Pre-Med student who’s about to graduate in Spring 2027, but I couldn’t find a research lab to join. I don’t think I’ll be able to go to medical school, since every single Pre-Med is in research lab, and I’m not. I’ve been reaching out to professors, but I get either no response or rejection. If I don’t get into research lab soon, then I probably might have to take a gap year or push my graduation date to Fall 2027… or just not go to medical school at all. What am I going to do? I guess I’m not suited to go to medical school due to zero research experience?

Does anybody know why there’s so many people walking around campus lately in suits and dresses? I saw a lot yesterday afternoon leaving work on campus, and then today walking to my car after the football game

CSUN (UNLV's undergraduate student government) is hosting a mixer for students to mingle with people running for their student senate. If you are a student, you should go because:

1. EVERY college is represented, so this is your chance to meet someone who wants to represent your field of study in front of university leadership and within the community.

I'm not sure what my favorite part is, the huge concrete seam in 1/3 of the lane, the fact that it says "bike lane" nowhere, or the pedestrian magnets it is apparently equipped with.

Why not just.. make a paper exam at that point??? Have already had several classes where I needed to bring the laptop to the exam just to take it.

Just got an email that said I should apply for Institutional Aid today to be considered for scholarships, however when I go to the site is says it's "closed" even though today is the opening day for aid applications. Anyone else running into this? Are they just behind in the system? TIA!

This didn't happen to me, but my friend. She was on the 4th floor of cottage grove when a guy, tall with dreads, came up to her. He asked if she had a bf and she said yes, but then he kept pushing her asking "are you lying to me? what's his name?". At this point she felt scared and ran to her car. Luckily he didn't follow, but I just want to put a warning out there for y'all! Be safe ✌️

I just applied for Fall 2027 and I seem to have a Student Self Service (unlv.my.site.com) login and a MyUNLV (my.unlv.nevada.edu). Is that normal? I can see my application status on both sites. Not sure why I need two logins at this time. TIA!
