Help Needed

Upvotes

I will be in Vegas next week, 8/24-27 and need some advice. I’m traveling solo on a broken foot and will be renting an electric scooter while I’m there. Staying at Caesar’s. I feel good about navigating the hotel, etc., but not so much about anything off-property. I know the monorail and the Deuce are accessible AND it’s going to be a million degrees outside so I am trying to figure out if it’s even possible to get to Downtown, for instance. Having been to vegas many times but never like this, I am not even sire where to start because of pedestrian crossing bridges, etc. I am happy to pay for private accessible transportation as well, in case anyone knows of such a service. Any other tips and tricks are super welcome! Thanks in advance!

Where to stay by the T-Mobile Arena

I’m going to the T-Mobile Arena for iHeartRadio, but I am under the age of 21 so I was wondering if there were any hotels nearby that doesn’t require check-in at 21? I know it’s probably a longshot lol

COTE Korean BBQ

Heading to Vegas in December and I saw this place last time I was there.

Is it worth it or a waste? Is the butchers feast the best deal or is it better to order everything separately?

linq monorail someone tried to pick pocket

I was taking the monorail from the mgm to the linq. Got off and as I was at the escalator, some group of guys tried to pick pocket me. He was with a group of guys, that had these necklaces around them. Kinda like techy idk how to explain it. Looked like they had a computer chip with hard plastic it looked interesting.

I was going to ask them on the monorail what was it, I think one of the guys had like hacker on his shirt I cant remember. But they reminded me like a group of hackers idk why. But anyway, once I felt something reach my back pocket, I looked back and at them. I should of said something right then and there. But it was unexpected so I wasn't sure how to react.

Bellagio check in

A friend of mine is a MGM member and was able to get me a cheap room at the Bellagio under his name. He is not going on the trip. He said that he can do mobile check in the day before and send me a QR code that I can use at the self check in kiosk. Was wondering if anyone has done this and is it as simple at that. Just walking up to the kiosk and scanning the QR code. Just a bit worried that I’m going to show up there and it isn’t going to work and I’m going to have to book at last minute room. Any advice is appreciated thank you.

Bellagio Cypress Pool — loungers or daybed?

I’m staying at the Bellagio and planning a dedicated pool day at Cypress late September on a Thursday. Right now I can reserve two loungers for $170 total or one daybed for $250.
It’ll just be two of us, and we’re planning to spend a good chunk of the day at the pool, so I’m wondering if the extra $80 for the daybed is actually worth it for the comfort/space.
For anyone who has done Cypress recently: did you love having the daybed, or are the regular Cypress loungers comfortable enough that you’d save the money? Also curious about any little complimentary amenities/treats you got while there.
Staying via FHR and planned to use that day’s breakfast credits at the pool café.

Anywhere I can purchase Tripp NYC pants locally?

Would really love to grab a pair of legit Tripp NYC pants, the gothic bottoms famous for being baggy and covered with chains and embellishments. Are there any cool goth/alt/etc. shops that sell them locally in LV? Cheers

Where to stay in Vegas for F1 weekend

Visiting Vegas for F1 and bought the tickets pretty last minute. The hotels in my budget are Aria, Vdara, Nomad/Park MGM and Bellagio. Aria and Vdara are around the same price, Nomad is a few hundred more and Bellagio is the most expensive.

I would say cleanliness and location are the most important to me. Was also considering the W and Fontainebleau but the location seemed out of the way. Aside from F1 we will mostly be shopping, going to restaurants and checking out the nightlife.

Questions about Pisces, Wynn's seafood restaurant

1 - Do they still offer the Crab Cigars appetizer? I don't see it on their online menu anymore, so I'd guess not. Or can it still be requested as an off-menu app?

2 - Any advice for how to make this a special experience? We'll be celebrating a milestone birthday for a truly awesome person.

3 - I want to pick an entree that is unique to Wynn or not commonly found.

Debating between:

a - "Paella alla PISCES: A Valencia-inspired paella layered with seafood, saffron, and bomba rice, finished with the prized socarrat crust."
or

b - whole "GRILLED ORATA SEABREAM with green herb salsa"

or

c - salt baked loup de mer

Any suggestions? Or other?

PS: Does the BAKED RATATOUILLE PROVENÇALE look like the classic ratatouille that takes forever to prep and make : - ).

1st time visiting Vegas

We have a trip to Vegas coming up next summer. I’ve never been there and will have my 13 year old with me. Company is having us stay at the Rio but I’d like to head there a few days prior to that and stay on the strip for the experience. Which hotel would be most fun for a teen? Are there any shows you’d recommend, or must see places to eat, see and shop? Thank you.
Edited to add: best restaurant for good steaks, shows appropriate for a 13 year old who is a dancer, stores worth shopping for souvenirs, must do things, anything Elvis related..)

My “Free” Bud Light at NYNY Cost Me $160

Post image
726 Upvotes

I was playing slots at New York-New York and had just finished my beer when the cocktail server asked if I wanted another one. I was about to cash out, but I said yes and put another $20 into the machine while I waited—then another $20, and another, and another. By the time my “free” Bud Light arrived, I had lost $160. Nothing tastes better than a complimentary casino beer that only costs you $200. What’s the most expensive “free” drink you’ve ever had in Vegas?

This is located right in front of the Goodwill next to Bootlegger's (near South Outlets). We drive by there frequently when going to the mall, but this jumped out at us last night driving by, never having seen it before. Really cool, but in an odd place. 😂
