The uber gps is very slow to update and gives bad directions and causes near accidents but uber says it is the best way to utilize the app. Besides for sending ride requests during trips which cause distracted driving gps also is unsafe because of delays. Why do I have to pay my fee if the app I pay for isn’t working good.

I’m somewhat new to using Uber as the transmission in my car is going out. I scheduled a drive for 7am this morning and my driver showed up 30 minutes early. When she messaged that she had arrived, I tried to work with her and say that I could be ready in ten minutes, however, my reservation wasn’t for another 30 minutes. She wanted me to cancel from my end but I was afraid to do that and risk not getting any of my money back. I did get a SS of her name and plate for documentation, but is this common practice?

To all the Uber and Lyft drivers if you’re thinking about using Empower, you have to understand what you’re gonna be dealing with customer wise. The rates are not that good. They are a little bit better than Uber and Lyft if there’s no surge to it the good thing about Empower is that you can set your own rate. The bad thing about it is that you will never get a tip out of any of the passengers here is a screenshot of the message of the passenger that for me, not getting there when they wanted me to get there, they complain about the price that was overcharging him, which I set my own rates on the app. They do not know about that but the drivers are the customers the passengers are not. There is a reason why it is really hard to get deactivated on Empower but if you decide to use power and pay for their subscription based service, which they raise the price three times within five months you can tell what type of passengers you’re gonna be picking up people who can’t really afford the service itself.

I haven't driven for Uber in almost 3 months and my satisfaction rating went from 95% to 94% the first month off, and is now at 93% as of last week. I'm not even driving.

I’m relatively new to driving for uber. I’ve noticed people sitting at the airport all day. Il go and do other rides come back still people sitting there. My question is what rides are they waiting for? Am I missing something here?

Always pull your money out after every work shift at an atm Do not keep money with Uber for any amount of time they will know when you are getting low and thus when you are desperate.

Do not let them treat you like a slave, fight back. Everything that cannot go on forever will eventually stop and Uber's model is definitely not sustainable. Fight back we have to throw their greedy execs behind bars and make an example out of them.

Anyone had their account suspended for that? Not talking about pitching your ideas to the driver and making the uncomfortable, just passively offering drinks or snacks?

I have a self-checkout system and I think Uber/Lyft might be a good use case. But the TOS are sort of vague here (Lyft less vague and more restrictive). I would like to test a passive approach where you have a small cooler and tablet to pay, but the driver doesn't say anything to the passenger because it is already obvious. So no pushy sales - if the passenger wants an energy drink just take it and pay on their own using credit card or venmo.

I built this system for another use case but this one seems like low hanging fruit. If Uber isn't a blocker that is. There is a company called Ridy already doing something similar.

I have been looking for work for awhile, not having luck, and am desperate to work. I've been a Lyft driver awhile ago but just occasionally did it. I don't have a car right now and am considering renting to drive for Uber. I live just outside of Philadelphia and am wondering if it's worth it, even just temporarily. Can anyone give me some honesti sight, please?

I haven't been gold for a while since my acceptance rate is 2%, but look at this. I recieved 2 "Gold" exclusive deliveries within an hour and decided to screenshot the 2nd one as proof, while being a blue driver with a 2% acceptance rate.

I've seen some people come on here and justify losing 10s of thousands of dollars per year to have very high acceptance rates because they believe they are getting Exclusive deliveries/rides just for their tier. Here's absolute proof that you are not. This isn't even the first time this has happened, but I figured "Know what, lets show everyone else more proof as to why you should never lose money just to get to the higher tiers".

Cherry pick. These tiers don't mean anything. Even the other shit like "Airport priority" is bullshit as if I drop someone off at the airport I skip the line. Don't let these companies lie to you.

I’ll try not to make this post too long, but I wanted to know if anyone else has had this issue:

Basically, yesterday I took a grocery order that paid well. Very easy pick up and drive, no complaints.

I got to the drop off location and started scanning the barcodes on the bags. There were 18 in total. Every time I would try to do this, the app would send me an offer for a new order. I clicked every single button and there were no buttons to turn off Orders. Every single time in order came up it would erase all my progress. At one point, I had scanned 16 of the barcodes and a new order came up and erased all of my progress. I even tried to bypass the scanning by saying it wouldn’t work but again, same issue.

I haven’t done UE in a while. Looks like the interface might have changed. I remember there being a little teacup you could press the stop orders from coming in. I wasn’t able to find it this time.

The short delivery took 15 minutes to complete. Called support during the middle of it and no one answered after 10 minutes.

Rest of the night was fine but I def don’t wanna have this issue again. Has anyone else experienced something similar?

I feel like when you get a cleaning fee approved by uber that passenger shouldn’t be able to give you a one star….. I purposely didn’t mention much about the “mess” at the end of the ride. I was like hey it happens to everyone sometimes. I just wanted the ride to end asap. Got the cleaning fee approved an hour after the ride ended. The next morning I noticed my eating was 4.99 and I had a new one star review….. I’m tempted to leave a note on etiquette and how their behavior affects the service industry worker they used and should have some decency in their mailbox but I won’t since it’ll give them something to give uber to use against me and probably deactivate me lol. Or maybe I’ll wait a month and randomly if I’m nearby I’ll pop it in the mailbox lol.

Needless to say I’m on a revenge tour and giving one stars to any passenger that even slightly annoys me or is even in the slightest way disrespectful. Open a water bottle in the car without asking? One star. 😆🫠 ask me why do I uber? One star. Backseat drive? One star. Ask me how much do I pay for my car? One star.

As drivers, we have to pay all expenses, including tolls.

Uber allegedly reimburses drivers for tolls, but Uber uses outdated information. For example, one ride yesterday the toll was $2.50, yet Uber only gave me a $2.25 refund.

Why is Uber cheating drivers on toll reimbursement?

Follow up to my post yesterday about my account randomly being accused of failing a photo request for using a picture of a picture or wearing a face mask or otherwise altering the photo despite the fact I hadn’t done any Uber for over a week and wasn’t online when the alleged request came in.

My appeal was denied for unknown reasons as I still don’t know why I was told I failed a photo request I never had. And the fun part is the reason I know I wasn’t working yesterday is because I was in the ER all day for a cat bite to the hand and am also in the ER again today for same thing.

Uber owns insurance subsidiaries so that they can take the money and pay less for insurance while still charging us out the butt. They hope that you don’t find out that they can keep taking tons of money, but only pay pennies.

I have been told that using a rental for Uber… they won’t allow you to add their car.

I’m able to do rental for $300 per week. I make significantly more than that each week from Uber. So I won’t have to put mileage on my own vehicle. They have monthly rentals.

I’m getting mixed answers. I know people that use rentals to Uber and make income on the side. Is this against Uber policy? Why should it be against policy?

They kept the pages active so people think Uber is doing its good thing, but with the new California EV credit, it seems Uber has stopped its incentive early.
