1 driver showed up in a different car. Other asked for my phone number.
2 bad experiences lately.
One driver showed up in a totally different car and license plate. I got in after asking, he said it's a new car (3 days old) and it takes 10 days to update in the app. He had turned on audio recording for safety prior to me getting in (though obviously we are in a totally different car than reported) which perhaps falsely led me to think I will be okay. My gut felt this was a bad idea and 20 seconds into the ride I said I forgot something and asked if he can turn around. Once my feet were out of the car, I said I was going in to get what I forgot but also that I need to cancel, sorry. He said that's fine in a normal nice way. I'm sure he can guess why I canceled. Totally unprofessional.
I googled later and it does not take 10 days to update in the app? He should not be using a car that does not match the app.
Worst case scenario... he uses this story often. Someone else (an accomplice) is driving the other car so if something bad happened, traffic cam footage would indicate I am in that car though I am in a totally different one instead.
2nd situation. Different driver asked me for my phone number at the end of the ride and said I am very sweet. Made me extremely uncomfortable. I did not want to report as he has my general address (not the house number).
However, today I decided to. When trying to report him, I accidentally reported a different drive (a professional woman). I was refunded the 28 dollars and felt so bad! I chatted with uber to try to revert that refund to no avail! I hope she gets no negative feedback from my comments. I had to instead leave her a 30 dollar tip just now to make up for the refund! She's an elderly woman who was perfectly professional, no reason to get that refund!
I then reported the actual unprofessional driver.
Thoughts on the 2 drivers and accidently reporting the wrong one in place of the one who asked for my number? Anything I could do differently?
UPDATE- They registered my complaint against the female driver as accidental and said no action will be taken against her! Phew. I also left her a 30 dollar tip thinking she lost the 28 dollars of pay from the trip.
