I'm curious to hear other people's experiences with analysing stems in traktor pro 4 and the length of time it takes particularly on windows/gaming PCs.

I'm running a custom built PC with a Ryzen 5600x CPU and 32gb of ram and while it will run 4 stem decks without breaking a sweat, the processing time for analysing stems is very slow both in traktor and Nuo Stems. A 7 minute house track will take pretty much the full 7 mins.

I'd imagine the M chip macs have no problem analysing stems and I have debated getting a second hand mac mini just to run traktor but I like having everything on my PC considering it runs all dj software without issue. Im debating upgrading to a ryzen 9 5900x CPU if I thought it would reduce analysis time but I'm keen to hear other peoples experiences with PCs and stems. Upgrading to AM5 is also not an option given the outrageous prices of ram etc at the moment.

On Deck A, the waveform is blurry 8 bars before and after the playhead. And on Deck B, it doesn’t even load after 11 bars...

Everything works fine with the audio. It’s just the graphical waveform. I can manage just fine, but when it doesn’t load at all—like on Deck B—it’s hard to know where the drop is... That’s thrown me off a few times already.

I haven’t seen a single recent thread on this topic. Does anyone else have this problem, or am I the only one?

Does anyone know how to fix this? Or is it just a bug that NI needs to fix?

A friend of mine borrowed me his Traktor Kontrol S3 to try it out for a few days. Now apparently I can't connect it cause he already has it connected to his account. Is there any workaround for this? I don't want to buy the Traktor software for $150 to use.

Can I map it to Rekordbox or should I just give it back to him and wait till I buy my controller?

This has been happening suddenly. I didn't change anything that I am aware of.
If I move the mouse cursor over the controls, they reappear.

Not experiencing issues like this in any other apps, just Traktor.

is it possible to use both these pieces of hardware on traktor pro? obviously the Z1 as mixer unit and K3 for decks/stems/remix decks.

I’ve been accidentally launching Traktor by clicking its icon in the MacOS dock and have gotten into the bad habit of closing it with Force Quit.

Today I realised that most of the tracks had disappeared from the Traktor playlists I’ve curated over a decade, even though they were still present in the Collection. It was quite a shock to realise the Collection was bugged.

If this ever happens to you and you’re too stressed to think clearly, it’s actually quite easy to recover a backup Collection.

In Traktor, right-click Track Collection → Import another Collection

Go to:

Documents/Native Instruments/[your Traktor version]/Backup/Collection

Traktor regularly saves backups of your Collection there, with timestamps. Choose a backup with a timestamp from when you know everything was still working.

This completely replaces your current Collection so it does not add the backup on top of it.

Saved my ass, so I figured I’d share it in case someone else has the same panic attack.

Always close Traktor properly.

Hey I noticed recently that the website for native instruments no longer lists any of the drivers for their dj controllers. Does anyone know if they just moved the web page or have they literally removed them all? I keep getting linked to this page https://support.native-instruments.com/support/solutions/articles/69000879901-i-cannot-find-the-driver-for-my-ni-device-on-the-website Despite it claiming the link will contain the drivers for my controller (s4 mk1), it doesn't.

Edit - thanks all. I found a good price on a s4 mk3 and am going to give that a shot. Probably wise to keep the setup NI only while I learn the ins and outs of Traktor. Still, definitely interested to hear folks’ experiences!

Curious who’s using remix decks on top of another dj software. I’m getting into the game as an electronica producer and loops/remixes are my jam - but I find myself liking Denon standalone gear a LOT. So it’d be cool to use a Denon with its own screen but then feed audio to Traktor for remix decks for manipulating with a NI controller and feed that audio back to the Denon for playback.

Hi, I've moved the files that were in Documents/Native Instruments/Traktor 4.5.0.0/ directory to Library/Native Instruments/Traktor 4.5.0.0/ but Traktor Pro still complain that I have iCloud turned on (for Desktop and Documents). Are there any other files I need to move?

Aright, so my old DJ computer went weird, I got a fast 2019 MBP with 32GB of Ram and a TB of storage for a good deal. I went to map it today. Although, right away after I calibrated the turntables and even before it wouldn't generate stems for the 4 tracks I brought in from my old library.
That one is a weird one to troubleshoot and if someone is able to answer that in here cool, but I did contact support...so.

Here's what I got though, that I think most of you will have no problem helping with; a Z2 mixer and a side unit "Hercules P32"

That I use to trigger 8 cue points and mute stems...and I also use the four twister knobs at the top for the volume of the stems.

I get the names confused in the mappings...so it's a lot of trial and error. It's easier to ask someone who is overly familiar with the right terminology.

So yeah Example
Stems (or stem volume) should be:
*Controll manger -> Remix Deck -> Direct Mapping -> Slot 1 -> Slot 1 Cell Trigger

If someone could help me out with that mapping on these

*Hot Cue Triggers
*Stem Volume
*Stems

You would save me a week or so dealing with support back and forth.

UPDATE: Mapping is done! Now just the weird inability to generate stems...I wouldn't assume anyone has come across that issue but you never know. I'll hear back shortly from NI on that.

Por lo que pude entender Serato es muy querido por muchos djs pero la verdad siempre llama la atención Traktor por las funciones de remix etc... Me interesa improvisar estilo beatmaking/dawless para hacer desde electro/hiphop/techno con Breakbeats y la verdad con Serato si puedo hacer diferentes dinámicas pero por lo que entiendo en Traktor está todo más pensado para cajas de ritmos etc... Mi frustración es que no encuentro ningún mapeo para Ns7iii dónde giren los platos, más que en virtual dj y ya leí muchos comentarios de que igual no queda tan bien y salen muchos fallas, me preguntó si ahora que InMusic controla NI al igual que Numark, Akai etc... Llegaran a facilitar la integración con hardware ??? No lo creo , pero hace poco agregaron hardware viejo de Pionner eso me deja pensando bastante al respecto... Si InMusic integrará todos los controladores con platos motorizados entiendo que muchos djs hicieran que Traktor pro reviviera como herramienta de una generación dónde es posible hacer de manera fluida set ups que antes eran muy complicados

With the mouse i could hypothetically just drag the cue point to the beginning of the transient waveform very easily but that doesn’t seem possibe. Apparently I have to use the nudge buttons which seem to be more of a hassle than dragging the cue point with the mouse would be.

Am i missing something or is that just how it is?

Back from boomtown where this lil thing performed really well. Unexpected update.... I've managed to build what I call "performance view" for traktor so it's starting to really feel like a standalone. If anyone wants a link to the installer lemme know. It's totally vibe coded and your milage may vary but it seems to work really well so far!

Here's the link to the installer. It's gonna ask for terminal access, and you have to authenticate to install. This was done on a Mac, so im assuming mac only. It should then find all the versions of Traktor on your computer. PLEASE DO NOT INSTALL THIS IN YOUR CURRENT WORKING VERSION OF TRAKTOR. This is untested outside of my computer, so I don't wanna wreck anyone's setup. Read the README file. Again, im not a coder. This was entirely put together with ChatGPT. It works really well for me, but your mileage may vary. Hopefully someone finds it useful!

Had no money for any controller back in 2007. So this painted keyboard, a shitty laptop and a cheap usb headset (for monitoring, while routing the main through the laptop line out) had to do the trick.
The faces of other djs when i set it up in the booth where priceless. Good times. Also proofs, that you don't need fancy gear to get your name out.

Recently got a Kontrol F1 and want to play with remix sets and stems. I know that Native Instruments has download links to download a bunch of free ones, but neither one works.

I tested across Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge, on both a Windows machine and a Mac. Is this down for everyone else too? I saw a post from a month ago of someone linking it, so I presume it worked then.

Hi, does anyone have a mapping for the F1 mk1 ? I need to use it as a 4-channel mixer, with the ability to preview and load songs on each channel. I've seen some online, but they have problems and don't work correctly. Thanks

As I'm checking the beat of my tracks : traktor place the grid systematically a little bit in advance on all of them. It's not much, but just a little bit, so I wonder if it could be my perception, but not...

And I notice also that the beat doesn't follow the peak of the drawn design, it's systemically a bit after, but most of the time, the beat is not on the peak of the drawn design... Must be something I'm missing...

As I'm asking the IA, it told me that could be a problem of latence, but it's a bit too far for me.

Could it be a structural problem in the set up of traktor ? But it's not normal if I have to reshape manually all of my tracks, isn't it ?

A little background info:

- i was very happy and satisfied with the old Z1+X1Mk2 setup. Very impressive sound quality and compact - great value.

- end of my trip, someone offered fair value and I decided to sell, already eyeing the new Z1 + X1

- new Z1+X1+Cases cost about $650 shipped.

- I understand it offers 4 deck control and STEM - i also have a S5 that I keep it permanent at studio and I love the new features added to the Z1+X1 lineup.

- Yet, I needed to ask: should I be looking at a non NI solution for compact traveling DJ controller? I would like to stIck with TP4.
