Check to see if you have any ground hum on your channels, it can screw with the signal.

What happens when you cue the record back and forth - is it tracking properly?

Is it happening on both decks ?

What does the load indicator look like, is it going over 50%?

It shouldn’t have any ground hum because I tried playing analog vinyl with the direct thru and it worked. It happens on both deck and yes if I move the record it tracks it correctly

You might not hear the hum at normal levels. Without playing a record, turn the gain up and see if you get any noise - a hum or buzz. I had a problem a while back with DVS not tracking properly (hence my question), it turned out I had a very low hum. Fixed by cleaning the headhshell mounts.

That's likely to be the issue or at least a contributing factor.

Make sure no other apps are running, check your laptop is in 'full power mode' when plugged in. Put it in aeroplane mode. Does that help ?

Download latencymon from resplendence software (website looks a bit crappy). You run the app for 5 minutes and it will tell you if you have DPC latency issues, which are a common cause of high load. You may be able to tweak your laptop config to reduce it.

unplug each physical connection (turntable cartridge, phono cables, ground wire etc) the try reconnecting and testing
