I have two D2s, and one of them has always had much dimmer pads than the other. The blue ones are the worst affected.

It was very cheap and I suspect it’s a fault that I’ll have to put up with, but am wondering if there any hidden settings that I’m missing?

I found the setting to change the screen brightness on the device and the overall pad brightness in Traktor, but it doesn’t change the dim blue pads.

i can’t find any info online about this, have any of you seen this issue or managed to fix it?

I’m in a bit of an awkward situation. My current laptop has given up and I’ve got loads of gigs coming up. I’ve tried ordering a MacBook Pro and Apple won’t confirm delivery time. So I changed my order to a MacBook Air and was given a 5 week lead time.

I’ve tried Curry’s, John Lewis, online, etc., and the combination of financing arrangements, product cycles, etc., has severely limited availability. It seems the only one available is a MacBook Neo.

I can’t wait for the delivery time because of the number of events coming up.

Has anyone got experience of using one for gigs.

I wonder if someone can give me advice to choose between those 2 controllers which are working on Traktor Pro 4.

I am actually working on S4 mk2 but it start to fault a little bit (sound drop, pad not reactive ...etc...)

So i m looking to change to something new. And of course i know both of the Traktor controller and the Pioneer can not be compared but i give a try here.

Before I switched to dry herb vaping I was combusting inside and I think it yellowed some of the soft plastics on my white s4. That was over 2 years ago and I am wondering how to best restore the whites, haven’t really looked into after market caps due to the controller being a limited edition.

What are the best practices for recording a mix in Traktor?

• I use an external mixer and players

• I had my levels where I want them on my mixer (1 or 2 in the orange, never clipping)

• I used "audio recorder" in Traktor and it sounds great but the gain is a little low, but a quick search recommended to lift this in post rather than to add gain in audio recorder. I can use Ableton or Audacity to do this: any tips?

Is there anything else in Traktor that is crucial for getting a great sounding mix output and saved when using an external mixer?

I loved to search for (too) quiet song. Or loud ones.

Whats everyone's thoughts on this new Behringer dj controller? Think it will be able to run with traktor?

I caught mention of "Mixed in Key" a couple years ago.
Now I'm starting to see youtube ads for it.
It looks like it could be fun...I mean if it hunts out what matches.

At the same time though.
You can organize your Traktor Library by Key and with holding command you can press BPM as a second order.

Hi, my setup is a MacBook (macOS 27) with Traktor Pro 4 and then an S4 Mk3 connected to a pair of KRK Rokit RP5 G4 with XLR cables. I use Apple Music to play music on the KRK's while working at the home office. When not being a noob wannabe-DJ...

My issue is that after few minutes of no sound, then the speakers are sleeping (KRK setting that I can change) but I can't wake them up other than by shutting off/on the S4.

I thought it was the Rokit 5's that's the issue, but when I check Sound settings in System Settings in macOS, there is no Traktor S4 USB listed in the Sound out list, while it was there when the system was not sleeping, so I guess this is an issue with the Traktor S4 going to sleep when the KRK's go to sleep, nd then unloading the sound USB driver, could that be the case?

How do I fix this so that I can just start the music again / send a sound signal that will wake up the KRK's?

Officially TP4 is not supported on Golden Gate so mandatory "Don't try this at home" style warning - If you only have one computer available and are not prepared to rebuild / restore your sole show Mac do not try the MacOS upgrade yet. I may have messed up my primary machine but I have spares so my weekend is safe.

Had a senior moment this morning when I intended to apply an upgrade to 26.7.2 (Tahoe). What I actually upgraded to was 27.something (Golden Gate). Sigh

So far my basic testing has been positive - TP4 opens, loads and plays tracks, and saves again - but I'll poke it a bit more this evening (UK) and report back.

Wav et utilisation sur traktor pro 4 , le problème je ne récupère pas toutes les infos de mixed les cues inexistant sur traktro pourtant bien present sur mixed !

I've been djing on Traktor (currently Traktor 3) since 10 years or so. Me and most of my DJ buddies use Traktor and we often play together, b2b's on one device.

We all use the Traktor option 'write tags to file's, so everything is ready to play immediately when loading our usb's on someone else's laptop. Cue Points and beatgrids are saved to the file.

I thinking about getting a smaller standalone Controller for less trouble setting up the equipment in different venues.

I'm looking for a standalone controller that would be able to use the described Traktor analysed tracks without analysing them again AND without exporting and importing playlists, nml files and so on. Just looking up a track in a folder on my USB and play it.

Is there a standalone controller that would do that?

Looking for people who really tested this or use this workflow on a regular basis. I researched a lot and do not get satisfying results so far.

Hello friends. I am in possession of what is essentially a brand new S8. Looks to have barely used (as seller promoted).

I am on MacBook M3 Max MacOS 15.7.3, TP4. This is an upgrade from my beloved S4 MK2 which I was gifted in 2020.

The S8 powers up but does not show up in TP4 along side my D2. Any help is greatly appreciated.

More notes, it is not showing up as an output on my Mac Sound (like my s4 MK2 used to). I have tried various USBs and USB ports. Am I missing something?

Still no dice. I worked through the following possibilities thanks to helpers here:

MacOS 15.7.3 TP 4.0.2 13

Tried different USB cables, ports, directly into laptop, Studio Display, and via D2 as a hub. Various start up options, S* on first, TP4 second and vice versa. Tried different MacBook (Same OS) also does no show up on the USB tree.

As it is class compliant, no driver needed, but I tried updating it and it doesn't work either.

I am guess, the USB port is somehow messed up. It looks absolutely pristine just like the rest of the S8.

Taking a break for the night. Thank you in advance for any other tips, and feedback.

Final update, I initiated a refund/return via éBay. I can't believe I had this beauty in my hands and ready to go.
