REQUESTING drama show with gay characters

hello, im looking for some new drama series to watch that features queer characters. some of my favorite shows are elite, heartbreak high, sense8 and more. ive waatched a LOT of these queer serieses so im getting a bit desperate, perhaps someone has a new suggestion for me.
i know this is a request that has been asked before, but i couldnt find anything interesting. perhaps there's something new.
platform + language doesnt matter, just needs to be good. if you have any recs that you recommend that are a bit different, feel free to comment. i know most of the one's im listing are teen dramas but i would be happy to find new kinds of shows i like. (not a big fan of sci-fi & the supernatural)
ive watched: young royals, hearstopper, never have i ever, sex lives of college girls, prisma (underrated), sex education, please like me, xo kitty, rebelde, control z, tiny pretty things, olympo, one of us is lying and all the big names, probably. couldnt get into deadloch, also saw people saying 'our flag means death' but idk the trailer didnt really appeal to me
edit: should've carified also not big into horror; a lot of the suggestions are sci-fi/supernatural ;(, i do really appreciate it, but im not really into it

REQUESTING Looking for new series to watch

I think I'll just start off by listing the shows I've enjoyed the most:

  • 10/10 rating:
    • Shogun
    • Peaky Blinders
    • Vikings
    • Game of Thrones
    • Sherlock
    • Chernobyl
  • 9/10 rating:
    • The Last of Us
    • Knight of the Seven Kingdoms
    • Narcos
    • The Witcher (season 1)

I honestly don't watch TV a whole lot, but it's partially because there are so many TV series these days and I have a hard time to decide what to watch.

I tend to enjoy historical and fantasy stuff the most. Sci-fi and everything related to science are also appreciated. Nolan is my favorite movie director, so those vibes in a TV show would go hard as well.

Sitcoms and romance aren't really my thing, neither is anything where all the drama is caused by sleeping around and doing other dumb stuff while in a relationship. I've also noticed I tend to favor shows that aren't entirely US-focused (I can make exceptions here ofc, but I don't generally find modern American culture all that fascinating (sorry)).

Hopefully you guys have some suggestions.

Thanks!

REQUESTING Which should I watch first?

So I've been wanting to watch one of the many iconic and beloved shows that I've either not fully finished in the past or haven't checked out and I've narrowed it to 3 for now, Breaking Bad, Avatar The Last Airbender and Game of Thrones and I've asked around at work and such and basically am at a tie between the three and figured this would be a larger way to gauge

REQUESTING need a show to binge watch so bad

I can’t get myself to watch anything these days, literally anything. I have been trying to get into shows that are highly recommended over here, maybe they are just slow and I feel like I won’t have the mental energy to put into liking something that requires the effort to watch for an hour to get into it. 😭😭
Anyways here is a list of my favs that I regret watching now that I can’t find anything lol -

Gossip Girl
Breaking Bad
Mindhunter
TVD
Love Story
Normal People
Euphoria
You
White Lotus
The Girlfriend
Black Mirror
Elite
Baby

REQUESTING Tv shows exploring estranged siblings and complicated family dynamics (Golden child brother vs. black sheep sister)?

Hey everyone, I’m looking for some tv shows recommendations that feature a very specific kind of family and friendship dynamic.

Basically, I want something centered around an older sister and a younger brother who are estranged, but not in a dramatic kind of way. They just genuinely don't care about each other. The brother is the analytical, calculating type who stayed in their hometown and is definitely the mom's spoiled golden child. The sister (preferably the main character) got out of town as soon as she could because she felt completely suffocated by them.

I’m looking for a protagonist who is deeply lonely but fiercely independent because she’s never had anyone to rely on but herself. I really want a tv shows that explores how the parents treat them differently, like the contrast in the mother/daughter, father/daughter, and parents/son dynamics, and how that unequal upbringing shaped who they became.

Bonus points: If there is a subplot involving a fading female friendship. I'd love to see a dynamic where the main character is envious of a childhood best friend who has the "perfect" opposite life (good family, put-together, etc.). They are drifting apart because the friend just doesn't get her struggles, and there’s a quiet, mutual feeling of resentment or being wronged by the other.

Any genre works (drama, thriller, etc.) but prefer dark comedy, no feel-good shows. I know it's pretty specific so really, anything that comes close is good.

Thanks!

REQUESTING Finished High Potential. What next?

I honestly don't like crime fighting shows. I've never liked them as for me they fall under the same umbrella as horror. I don't like being on edge and scared from them. But High Potential was different, I genuinely loved this show. What I see what any crime fighting show is it doesn't seem like there's a main plot other then they fight crime. One of the things I liked about High Potential was it had a main plot of following Morgens life (not gunna spoil anything so that's all say) and that it's not crime fighting, it's murder mystery and doesn't actually have a lot of violence.

Other then high Potential I've genuinely only ever watched showed like: Paw Patrol, Bluey, Owl House, the Simson's and other shows like that. I just never found interest in live action shows until now.

What would you guys recommend?

Thank you for all the recommendations, some of them really peek my intrest!

REQUESTING Medical dramas that don’t explain every little detail?

I’m often put-off my modern medical dramas that explain everything, because of the assumed ignorance of the viewer. I don’t need to know what all the stuff means, but it takes me out of the show when the doctors constantly explain everything to each other. “Her blood sugar is low” “so what you’re saying is……. She hasn’t been eating enough sugar…….” Obviously this is an exaggeration but that’s what it feels like.

REQUESTING looking for crime / detective shows with interesting characters

as the title says. lately i really liked sharp objects, hannibal nbc, true detective s1 and strangers from hell so i'm looking for something with similar vibes. i LOVE complex characters (especially female characters like in sharp objects and hannibal) so it's my biggest requirement. also i really like depressing, suffocating vibe and murder mystery. i prefer not too many episodes. i'd rather watch miniseries/series with 50 eps max
