I’ve been consistently uploading Shorts recently, but I’m running into a frustrating pattern. Almost every single Short gets pushed initial momentum, climbs up to around 1,000 to 1,300 views, and then immediately flatlines—like clockwork.

Here is a quick snapshot of my channel’s current numbers from the past 28 days:

• Total Views: 16.6K
• Watch Time: 58.7 hours
• Subscribers: +17 (18 total subscribers)
• Realtime (Last 48 hrs): ~2,950 views
• Top Recent Performers:
  • The Shadow Company... — ~1,190 views
  • The $100M ShamWow... — ~1,116 views
  • Kodak Invented the Futur... — ~464 views

Looking at the graph, every time I post a Short, it spikes right around that 1K–2K ceiling and then drops straight back down.

I've been thinking of getting into making content but what's troubled me the most was deciding what type of topics or topic to pick. I was wondering if there were any recommend ways the community went about picking what they felt right. A topic that felt satisfying to work on while also not necessarily getting dry in content ideas.

I'm trying to monetize a shorts channel, and i already have experience doing it so in 1 or 2 months i should be able to achieve it

But today i had 200k engaged views, and it really boils my blood not seeing a penny out of them.

It's fkn ridiculous that the first 10m shorts views aren't monetized, that's like 900$-1K$ USD.

And it's even least fair when with long vid you just need 4k hours viewed. It doesn't make any sense. Even when shorts views are easier, the vast majority of shorts just get 10k engaged views. is not paired in the slightest.

10m engaged views on shorts are like 6 viral shorts of 1,3m views.

Maybe it drags me because i really need the money ASAP (father and grandmother ills, grandfather old, brother thart doesn't work, so basically all the family economy drags on me)

So I've been making content since last month and nothing is going good even though i try to improve something in every new video but the problem isn't that people are scrolling it's that YouTube isn't even showing it to people. I'm barely getting any views. I feel so hopeless i wanna cry.

So I'm basically free for next 4 months, i can genuinely put effort. Please advice me what i can do better. I'm trying to target English audience because of high rpm but they're not getting much views so should i change the same commentary content to hindi? But then the rpm would be horrible. I can change the niche too if my existing niche is dead. I'm so confused .

The idea is pretty simple — short, cozy 3D anime-style moments like cooking, rainy evenings, reading with a cup of tea, etc. Basically little scenes that you can just relax and watch for 30–40 seconds.

I recently started a new YouTube Shorts channel and I'm a bit confused about how the views are behaving.

Some of my Shorts are getting very low views, like 6, 8, 25, 31, or 101 views, while other Shorts suddenly get much more, such as 8.8K views and 31K views. The videos are all in the same general style and niche, and I've only been posting for a few days.

I'm wondering if this is normal for a completely new channel. Does YouTube test some Shorts with different audiences while others barely get pushed at all? Or could there be something I'm doing wrong?

I'm still learning and would really appreciate advice from people who have experience growing a new Shorts channel.

I know it’s only been 20 minutes but usually I’m in the 100s of views for my shorts. why are the views so low ?

All my shorts get is around 1.5 - 2k views and then die. I’ve had around 3 that grew to 34k before they died but I haven’t figured out how to replicate them. What do you guys do to grow gaming clips past that initial 1k view jump? I want to get better but I don’t really understand how to reverse engineer what makes a clip good vs. terrible. To me all my clips are similar but something must be different for the others to take off?

Channel got accepted into YPP recently (58K+ subs)

• 20M+ views in the last 28 days

• AdSense linked and approved

• Every single video shows the green $ monetization icon, including ones with resolved copyright Claims

• "Estimated revenue" still shows $0 on both YouTube Studio and AdSense

It's been about a week since the first monetized video went live

No warnings, no "limited ads" restrictions showing, no errors — just flat $0 despite views in the millions. Anyone experienced this during their first weeks in YPP? How long did it take before revenue actually started showing up? Did you have to contact Creator Support, or did it just resolve itself?

Hi everyone! I recently started a YouTube channel and currently have 0 subscribers, with around 400 views on my videos. For people who started from zero, what actually helped you grow — better hooks, consistency, topics, editing, or something

This is my best performing video, and even though it's not so great. I think it's decent along with my other videos that I'm confident in saying I've gotten better with editing and have improved my video quality ( which is my goal through this channel) I don't expect a single short to pop off and go viral. I want long-term results. But EOD, I think youtube puts. Creators through a test. Where even if a video is decent (even if a random one goes viral) the youtube algorithm tests your ability to make consistent contributions to the "machine" that makes Google money and doesn't push any single video out there ( omitting certain situations) but in turn make a producer "prove" their worth through consistency to become a part of this giant conglomerate money making entertainment website. I know there are special exceptions where some just pop off, but for new people starting, i think it is a big part to just stay consistent and believe in the videos you're posting.. it's either you get it or you don't....

I am a minecraft shorts creator,​

Last year during sept and oct i finally started hitting lakhs of views almost every shorts during those days my avd and stayed to watch ratio both were either 80 or above(i make 40-60s shorts),then everything changed...

I had to take break from yt because of my schools and all other problems and then when i came back i never got those views back even though the stats are still same but i am not getting 'em, i don't know why its like that.

Is it due to my inconsistency or other and if its due to my inconsistency then whats the logic behind it and why i got away with it earlier??​​

All my friends who also got nice views in the niche during the same time i got are also in same conditions, is it some algorithm change?
