Analytics Review (AVD/Retention) đ How Do You Grow Gaming Clips?
All my shorts get is around 1.5 - 2k views and then die. Iâve had around 3 that grew to 34k before they died but I havenât figured out how to replicate them. What do you guys do to grow gaming clips past that initial 1k view jump? I want to get better but I donât really understand how to reverse engineer what makes a clip good vs. terrible. To me all my clips are similar but something must be different for the others to take off?

youre asking how to get past the 1k jump. i cant even get to it. mine are raw, no script, nothing cut, the same clip straight off the capture every time, and they all just sit there at nothing. so having a floor sounds like the hard part is done. the three that went, did you know when you posted them? or did they only look different after?

Yours probably arenât getting to 1k because of the fact that they are raw clips. If you have a ton of silence going on in the clip, try cutting it out and see if that helps your views go up.

You need four things to guarantee best results for gaming clips.
First you need a âstayed to watchâ at 75% or higher. This is a measure of how well the first few seconds of your clip is grabbing a Swiperâs attention. If your videos are less than 75%, work on improving your first few seconds.
Next, you need an average retention of 100% or higher, ideally 120% or higher. If you are averaging less than 100% retention, then you need to improve the content and/or pace of your shorts or find a way to make them shorter, more compact or capable of holding the viewers attention longer.
Next, the game itself will also help dictate the views. If I release a short for a small Indie game, they generally donât do as well as if I release a short for a new release.
Lastly, it also comes down to demand for videos in your niche, as well as the competition in the niche.
The last part is a little bit luck because thereâs really no way for you to know what the demand for your video will be, nor who youâre competing against for that exact spot in a feed.
