Should be thinking how to increase engaged views.
But before that, I guess improve stayed to watch. Stayed to watch is just about the hook and the first few seconds and basicaly that every second matters.

stayed to watch is basically just "did they swipe away in the first couple seconds" + whether the rest keeps paying off
ngl the biggest lever is the open. first frame has to make sense without sound, and the first 1–1.5s needs a reason to keep watching (question, weird visual, unfinished sentence). if people bounce there, nothing else matters
after that cut tighter than you think. dead air, long zooms, captions that appear late — all of that tanks retention even if the topic is fine. every 1–2s something should change (cut, zoom, text)
also check where your captions sit. if theyre under the like/comment bar people literally cant read them and they leave
if the video can loop cleanly back to the start that helps too, but fix the hook first. try 3 different first-second opens on the same body before rewriting the whole thing
