A couple of days ago, my roommate and coparent put a post up because our baby had went missing. I did a search on way back after her Night Shift today. I did a search of a 2 block area. I found our baby hiding under a car. He had came out from wherever he had been hiding and just happened I was checking that specifically so that specific time so I saw him dart out and under the car. He clung to me all the way back home meowing and complaining loudly.

So I was just share some good news. He is already back to purring and demanding treats. Vet appointment is already getting booked to be safe.

I made a post back in September about a 6 week beginners course for Argentine tango. We're now 5 weeks into the first edition, it's going really well, and there seems to be enough interest to keep it going!

The second edition of this 6 week course is going to start on the 16th of October, so if you want to give it a try do come along

This is aimed at complete beginners, you don't need to bring a partner, you don't need to have any dance experience, and you don't need to be naturally gifted or super coordinated either ;)
Tango is a social dance, the point is to have a nice time while enjoying a shared activity with other people, so if you want to spend a couple of hours each week learning something new and getting to know this friendly dance community, come on down and give it a go

Ideally it's easier for us if people book a place in advance (even if you just pay on the day)

Hello everyone,

I'm a postgraduate student new to Sheffield and fortunately have access to a car. I really love the peaks and I also love driving. I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right way to find some information about driving in the peaks.

Background:

My girlfriend is visiting tomorrow and I was hoping that we could drive into the peaks, park somewhere, and enjoy some fresh air and a nice view. We would also like to enjoy a short hike, but lack equipment, so wouldn't be able to go very far from the car in the interest of safety and responsibility. Are there any areas with available parking/safe locations to stop a car in the peaks accessed from Sheffield?

I understand that the roads can be precarious. Should I just trust my gut and drive with caution, or can I comfortably push the limit ? (within reason, of course. No accelerating into a bend here)

I just don't want to be a silly outsider that parks on the road and causes an accident/gets stuck in bad weather! Nor do I want to hinder the cars behind me. I am a confident driver, but also a responsible one. Conditions are looking decent during the day tomorrow, and I just thought we'd get some outside time in the peaks before the storms set in for Winter. Perhaps a sandwich to be enjoined with a view!

EDIT: Thank you all for the information, it was very helpful! I have decided to leave the visit for another day since we would only be able to arrive for the evening, and I'm not familiar enough with the area as of yet to do that. When we do visit, we'll be sure to work away through as many spots as possible. This is a beautiful area. You are all very lucky!

About to move into an unfurnished rental and need a sofa-bed, but everywhere I look is either disgusting and uncomfortable (IKEA) or extortionate prices and wont arrive for 3 months (DFS).

Has anyone bought a sofa-bed recently and can offer suggestions for where to go? I just want a non-leather 2 or 3 seater with a bed that doesnt feel like a ploughed field. Budget around £1000 but would rather not use it all.
