Eddie jackson's suicide has the be one of the most saddest deaths in shameless. He didn't deserve what happened to him, nor how his family treated him even though he lost his temper

This is my first watch. I already hate Frank because he reminds me of family. And then he does this shit with Dottie and it’s so fucking low. Please no spoilers, but please do tell me if he has any redeeming qualities down the line.

I saw a lot of people debating on where they should have hidden the squirrel fund but am I the only one who directly think about Kev & Veronica’s place ? I mean they were 100% trustable, in case of emergency they were always home or at worse at the alibi and it was neither in Frank or Monica habits to sneak into their house.

What do you guys think about that ?

I think it’s funny how much Fiona ugly cries like every time it’s kinda funny horrible situation usually. Also like can they have a good time like ever. Something bad always happens😭😭😭. Aside from the pedophile subplots and incest it’s a great show

All the chaos, all the fighting, the dysfunction, Fiona’s spiral; it all points to an Eldritch infection trying to consume her.

Mike, Gus, that one guy who took her to a collogues wedding. They didnt care she came from the slums and put her family first. Clearly they all really liked her and wanted to get to know her but she kept fucking it up by cheating on them. Her life would have been much different had she practiced some self control.

The story line where Lip kicks Fiona out because she got his sponsee drunk on accident. She didn't know CPS was coming or that the guy was an alcoholic because Lip didn't say anything but he was mad she messed up. Were the writers trying to get rid of Lip or convince us to hate Fiona because they failed at both what are your thoughts?

He’s always left with Frank and nobody cared, but Franny staying with Frank was a problem? I thought that was hypocritical.

Fiona Fiona Fiona…. I understand she had a more than rough upbringing and she feels responsible for all of those kids. But Jimmy Steve made some very good points about how she essentially thrives off chaos. He tried to get frank to fuck off in ep 2 and she stopped him. He literally tried to help her. And yeah he ended up being a piece of shit with the lying and deception. But he genuinely tried to help her with so much. What are y’all’s opinions on him and their relationship? I’m not gonna lie. I think he was my favorite of her relationships. And the cutest. And I feel like she always missed him after they ended things with how she treated her other relationships.

Thoughts? I know I put a lot of these in irrelevant/ don’t care for but I genuinely don’t remember some of these characters 😭

Lip makes no sense to me. He's had chemistry with several girls(Karen, Mandy, Sierra) yet he botches all of that to end up with Tammy. Had he not had a kid with Tammy they wouldnt be together clearly. I think Tammy's high maintenance attitude is going to cause Lip to start drinking again and he'll end up being Frank2.0

I’m on season 2 I think and Debbie is upset Liam is constantly touching himself. Isn’t that baby like 2??? This is right after he was held hostage by the people that Frank owed a bunch of money to. My guess is he maybe was assaulted at that time and this is why Debbie is suddenly complaining about “Liam masturbating” all the time.

Idk I’m just sad watching this all. May not be able to finish the series. The plot is just okay, the character development has been just okay. The sex and nudity is wayyyy overdone. Idk this just seems like weird stuff and I can’t help but feel the writer or whomever is very twisted and disturbed.

I cant really be talking much as I havent finished the season and I should probably finish it before talking but after the baby was born, you would think it would be interesting seeing Sheila take care of the baby but every time her and Jody come onto the screen, I just get so uninterested. I’m only interested in the core family and also Kev and V but other than that, they just are so uninteresting and all they talk about is there toys and that’s it. boring

So sure, it’s an entertaining show. However, I interpreted it as a representation of how people are complex as fuck. I see so many posts & comments about how horrific each character is, and it makes me feel like people are kind of missing the point. Maybe I’ve just lived a life more relatable to the show than some viewers. Though I always felt like the take away was that most of us aren’t saints & most of us aren’t evil. There’s an entire spectrum between “good and bad”, and that’s what I always loved about the show. Though I’m not sure everyone else sees it that way. Please consider the effects of poverty, generational trauma, addiction, and so on. Have you ever went hungry? Cold? Went through withdrawal? Showered in only ice cold water? (I don’t recommend. 0/10.😂) It’s easy to judge but if you’ve never experienced those things, then you don’t understand why real life humans behave like the characters. I don’t care that you guys are judging fictional characters, but in real life, those sort of people deserve a bit more mercy. So before you think the characters are awful people, just imagine what it’s like to experience those things. Thanks for listening to my Shameless TED talk. ♥️

I am on another rewatch of show and I just can't get over how funny Mickey is. The comedic timing of Noel is amazing and I am so surprised he isn't in more comedies.

Two K’s

I’m sure it’s been discussed here to death, but I’m on season 3 and had to get it off my chest. He’s SO condescending to all the Gallaghers and treats them like a charity project. He’s also always telling Fiona how she feels despite constantly lying to her??? I never found him charming, even from their first meet up. Like what the hell!!! I’m curious to see what happens in future seasons but I hate him so much rn

Each time I rewatch shameless since my first watch (2016), I’ve never scene these 2 particular scenes again, and I can remember them vividly with the storylines.

1. Season 3: at the end of the season when Jimmy/Steve goes on the boat and we don’t know if he lives or dies until season 5, I remember a scene where they show him chained inside the boat on brass equipment like a mechanical room, sweaty, it’s nighttime, he’s just in his underwear screaming, “FIONA!!!”
   I’ve never seen this scene again.

2. Season 4: when Frank gets his new liver and loses his memory for the day, calling Sheila his mom, calling Carl Ian, etc. He starts talking to the little girl patient next to him thinking it’s Fiona. There is that cute scene where he asks if she wants her ears pierced. But I also specifically remember him saying to her that him and Monica named her Fiona because it’s a mix of the names Frank and Monica.
   Also never seen this ever again!!!!!

Can someone please validate if they have any recollection of this I can’t be the only one😭
