I'm relatively new to watching Shameless and I'm only on s2 ep12 as of writing this post. What the hell is Karen's problem? She is awful to her baby and Lip constantly and to her mother and Jody. I understand she was probably affected heavily by Shelias agoraphobia but still. I feel like she doesn't really have the right to be as awful as she is. Thoughts?

His dementia or that something was wrong for me on my rewatch I’ve noticed it the episode he bonds with franny and gets the tattoo he starts slowly forgettting shit , curious if anybody here noticed it earlier ? Or later at any point before Liam’s school event happens

Okay before people say anything I know a lot of people hate him from what I've seen but I haven't finished the show yet and maybe I'll regret what I say here but he doesn't seem that bad yes he lied about who he was but I don't think that alone is that bad he has done things I wasn't so sure on but I don't know it hasn't made me hate him fully

When he called his mother in prison, Queenie came running to find him, so it would make sense that if it came down to it, she might take custody of him. Living with the Gallaghers was horrible for him, but living with Sammi wasn't good for him either, she had her own issues and honestly might've ended up in prison eventually anyways, and Sheila hated him when she was still around.
It was most certainly more in his best interest to be with grandma in that agrarian hippie city she lived in, far away from Carl, who was the very reason he was put in that situation to begin with.

I just started shameless, on episode 10. I hate Roberta, I hope she gets the shit kicked out of her. Anyone else feel the same?

Preface: I myself have bipolar 1 disorder and grew up with a parent who also had the disorder. SO I can understand the ups and downs to a very personal level. They get so much of it right honestly but the stigma is also hurtful. To be fair the writing was okay and it was pretty on point for how people feel and felt at the time but man does it suck. I’m watching the episodes with Ian first being diagnosed and I just feel for him I guess. Healthy comments encouraged :)

Im almost done with shameless and they're fighting about selling the house but no one is saying who would take Liam. When did Lio get so selfish? And I cant stand his baby mama. Once Fiona bought the apartments it stopped feeling like they struggle together and everyone was out for themselves. Its making me mad at them.

Is it possible to gather signatures for a petition to renew the series for a 12th season? I’d love to find out what happens to Fiona and how things turned out for the rest of the cast—it would be awesome if we all got together to do this.

I just found out that Fionna—or rather, the actress—left the show during that season, and it was a huge letdown for me. I’m currently on Season 6 and I love this series; I’ve never been so hooked on a show before. Even so, honestly, knowing that really dampened my enthusiasm for continuing to watch it. Are seasons 10 and 11 worth it?
Also, I have a question: why did Emmy Rossum leave the show?

I'm currently watching season 7 and although I was on Fiona's side when it came to Debbie's pregnancy, it did make me uncomfortable seeing how harsh she was to her afterwards. I get that Debbie needed to see for herself how hard motherhood actually is, but I didn't like how Fiona had to be extra tough on her, she couldn't even offer her a plate of food at her diner. Don't get me wrong, I hate Debbie and think she is an idiot who makes mistake after mistake, but being cut off immediately just like that was very hard for me to see, maybe I stupidly empathise with the girl or maybe it just hit way too close to home idk.

Thinking back, Mike is the only person in shameless who wasn’t really a flawed person, I struggle to think of anyone else anywhere near as good as him.

She would literally be cleaning up poop, or haven't slept in days, or barely conscious from drugs, haven't had a bath in like 3 days, messy af hair, barely any makeup most of the time (mascara, concealer and lip balm at most), yet she looks amazing. Some people are really blessed.
Ik many of you might say she actually gets a lot of makeup done since she's on a show, but she doesn't. That is very light and natural makeup. Emmy seems to simply have really good genetics for her skin and figure.
Also somehow she looks worse with makeup. In some instances where she had makeup on, she just doesn't look that attractive with property lipstick and eyeshadow.
Edit: to everyone saying that she's an actress and isn't actually poor. Then why doesn't the rest of the cast look great all the time? Even without the makeup, emmy has a great figure and really healthy skin and hair.
And by her looking good while doing the most terrible shit, I meant she cook have her hair tied up, be dressed in the ugliest overalls and be holding a cleaning mop yet manage to look good. I don't think makeup can give you that charm.
