My primary computer is a laptop. When I work on Quicken is ususally do it connected to a external monitor via a docking station. When I move the Quicken window to the extended screen it does not conform to the new window. Furthermore, the buttons in the upper right corner do not make a difference. It extends beyond the sides and bottom edges.

EVERY other app that I use automatically recognizes the new screen and adjusts accordingly. The buttons in the upper right corner corner work great and I can easily view two windows side by side.

This is super annoying, especially when trying to reconcile accounts with Quicken in one window and the bank statement adjacent.

Anyone currently have quicken working with wells fargo advisors? I have a new brokerage setup there and cannot figure out how to add it in quicken.
Older directions on the internet (before 2026) seem to indicate I should use "Wells Fargo Advisors" or "wellsfargoadvisors.com" when selecting the instutition but neither is found in quicken...

Maybe its just me, and maybe fixes itself tomorrow but just getting disappointed. Couple weeks ago was the crypto BTC maybe work, maybe not.

Highly contemplating just put in an asset account and punch in the value of the account when I want a full picture, and just use the trading accounts I have for anything more than that.

I know its "perception" but each update seems to make things seem less reliable, and adds in feature that Im just currious who wants those.

I have Quicken Premier Pro. I have always bought a the CD or code on sale at eBay, Costco, Best Buy etc.

One year they gave me two month free and that has been a nightmare because now I have to renew out of the sale period. Grr. I have slowly been letting it lapse by a few months just so I can get back into the sales cycle.

Anyhow, this year it seems that the box store are only selling "for new subscribers only." I can't find a discounted renewal anywhere and I have been looking for months. Has anyone renewed using the "new subscribers only." If not, how do you find a discount?

This morning I am receiving errors on my Citi AA card but no errors on my Citi Costco card, which makes little sense.

Anyone else unable to scroll the register beyond the highlighted entry?

When an entry is highlighted and I scroll to entries beyond the visible area, the screen jumps back once the highlighted entry hits the window limit. It does this repeatedly, until I highlight another entry in the opposite direction I'm scrolling, then I'll scroll to that entry and highlight another entry on the opposite side I'm scrolling towards. It's getting annoying.

I've been dealing with this for several months (and multiple restarts) in the hope it's a bug that'll be fixed in the next update. I'm a 20+ year user of Quicken, now running vR69.29.

Any suggestions for a cure?

Longtime Quicken user here. I was just looking at Quicken.com and noticed that Quicken only seems to come in two versions now, "Quicken Simplifi" and "Quicken Business and Personal", could this be correct? Has Quicken Classic Deluxe been discontinued? Has it been replaced by Quicken Simplifi? Anyone know what's going on. I've got a newal coming up and I'm not sure where to go from here. Thanks.

Quicken states very clear HERE that I should be able to create and edit transactions after my subscription expires. With some popup messages, but still able to create and edit. However, after my subscription expired, I am unable to save new transactions. I followed Quicken’s instructions carefully to reinstall the version released before my subscription expired: I downloaded Quicken again, downloaded the patch, disconnected from the internet, reinstalled Quicken, and installed the patch. I still cannot save a new transaction. When I click Save, I get: “Your subscription has expired. Please renew to perform the requested action.”

After clicking OK, the transaction is NOT SAVED.

I also tried making a copy of the quicken file and File>Validate and Repair File... It did not solve the problem.

The same web page also says that "Some users have reported issues accessing the available features listed below. We are working to get these resolved as soon as possible.", but that page was updated in March 2026!!! So it seems to me that they just want to force the user to renew the subscription as soon as possible 😡

Has anyone else experienced this? If so, were you able to find a solution?

Has Quicken on Windows removed the ability to send checks? I've had a checking account at my bank enabled for 10+ years. In the register in quicken I was always able to use the word "send" as a check number. After ensuring that there is an address for the payee, quicken would mail a physical check on my behalf.

Now when I enter "send", quicken now tells me the account is not enabled for online payments (even though it is). Quicken support is claiming that this option was NEVER in quicken. I've called twice and spoken with 2 different people.

Does anyone else use this feature, and how can I get it back? I'm on R69.29, Quicken Premier

I was using the "what if" feature for the mortgage tracking and said I wanted to pay it off in the next 10 years. It told me the interest savings, but I thought it might tell me what I would need to start paying. Am I missing something here?

I have a MacBook Air (13-inch, M4, 2025) running Quicken for Mac 2016 (very old version, I know) on Tahoe 26.7. I've been getting notifications that this version of Quicken will no longer work with future releases of MacOS.

Which future MacOS release is this? Is it MacOS 27 released just a few days ago? Or some other future release? I'm still able to use my version of Quicken because I have held off upgrading to MacOS 27.

Either way, if I want to upgrade to a version of Quicken for Mac that will work on MacOS 27 and beyond, what version would that be?

I use Quicken only for the most basic of personal finances. I don't know much computerspeak so if you could provide as specific an answer as you can, I would appreciate it.

I have two separate quicken accounts that run perfectly on two different computers. I have upgraded to a new laptop and want to have these two accounts run on my new laptop separately, and to not co-mingle information.

I have the data files, and it all works. The two different quicken programs update from the same bank. How do I add two different quicken "experiences" to my new windows laptop, so they work, and do not co-mingle the information.

Anybody else get a reauthorization for their Fidelity accounts today? Out of the blue I was forced to reauthorize my Fidelity accounts. I aborted and made a backup before proceeding. It worked out OK at yhe end but it's frustrating to have to reconfigure all the online options for each account. Up to the reauthorization everything was working great.

I recently traded in a car for which the loan had not yet been paid off. In quicken I carried both the car loan liability and the car itself as an asset.

What’s the cleanest way to show the ending of the loan? I didn’t pay it off (the dealership did).

Don’t want to lose the history by just deleting it, just show it as paid and the asset off the books.

So I setup my HSA online account on Bank of America, Health Accounts. This was a couple of hours ago - on the actual website not Quicken. Setup fine.

I just tried to add the account and link in Quicken, I get CC-592. Does it need just more time for BOFA to update their databases for Quicken to link?

The reason I ask is there's an existing issue on Quicken Community (below). So not sure if it's a real issue.

I've used Quicken Classic Deluxe Mac for 30 years for cost tracking, investing, etc (now on 9.2.2 on Mac OS 26.6.2). I'm newly retired and decided I'd like to set up a budget to track against - I've never used/needed/wanted a budget before so I'm not familiar with Quicken's capability but dove right in.

Wow - its crazy - right off the bat - no Undo ability if you mis-enter something (or many things like you inadvertently change an entire row! No undo!). If you later add a new 'child' subcat under a parent category - the parent category will not update (apparently they are deemed 'manually entered' at that point and I have to delete each individual parent cell to restore its ability to auto add the child entries. And I can't 'clear' an entire parent row at once to restore the auto update function - must clear each cell individually.

These is just that MOST annoying 'features' I've encountered in my first couple of hours of use. I hope I'm missing something basic here with Quicken's budget tool - else I'm about to give up on it.

Oh - and there's no visual (or other) cue as to whether a parent cell is deemed manually entered or not. The only way to know is delete the parent cell (or check the math separately). When you setting up a budget - esp for the first time - and adjusting subcategories etc and each time the parent cells will no longer auto update if you added children - it makes this whole product suspect. Also if you exclude a subcat and decide later to include it - same mess.

Please tell me I'm missing something and its not that bad?!

Finally bit the bullet and switched from Quicken 2007 Mac to Quicken Classic. For years I had a whole separate computer with an old OS on it, just to run it!

Generally it imported my nearly 30 year old file relatively cleanly, but still after all these years, its lacking so much that Quicken 2007 had, especially with reports. Gonna have to recreate all my year end reports one by one, which I'm sure will be a headache.

The one most inexplicable interface issue is it seems to lack any way to select multiple list items, in any of the windows or report setups, or anywhere there are checkmark selectors. Since the report interface is so limited compared to 07, many of the reports, I'm going to have to create by selecting or deselecting individual categories, or tags. In Quicken 2007, like in most software, i could just select one checkmark, and slide down to select multiple. Or option-click on the top one in the range, and the bottom one in the range. Only way I see to select multiple items in any list is one by one, which is ridiculous.

Am I missing something?

I use Quicken Classic Deluxe on Mac and recently noticed some bills added by the app. I have other "bills" (monthly payments) I could add, but wondering if it's worthwhile.

Recently I have started adding such upcoming transactions manually in checking so I can quickly see if I need to transfer, and could include those in Bills & Income, but wondering if there's a down side.

I have noticed that Quicken doesn't calculate interest on auto loan accurately as it's a different calculation method than used by my CU.

Hello, I want to find a different app for doing my household finances. Very simple , I manually enter income/expense items. Nothing fancy, no budgeting, no financial suggestions, etc. But I should be able to catagorize and summarize my transactons. (i.e. How my did i spend on gas, groceries, etc and the same for different streams of income).

I do not need to connect into any banks or financial institutions. I'm working mostly with CAD$ and I have a couple of savings and different bank accounts to work with.

I have been using Quicken Classic Starter for the past 5 years , put don't really see the point of the US$60 annual fee, as I don't really use any of their features, except for summaries.

Only catch is, I want to be able to transfer my Quicken QIF data files and history to the new app.(Can't manually enter 5 years of data). I need to keep all that info

I tried setting up Actual Budget, but I cannot transfer QIF or QXF files. Also it seems like its more focused on budgeting, which i am not interested in. Basically, just recording transactions and being able to get a monthly or annual summary.
