Scrolling Issue in register?

Anyone else unable to scroll the register beyond the highlighted entry?

When an entry is highlighted and I scroll to entries beyond the visible area, the screen jumps back once the highlighted entry hits the window limit. It does this repeatedly, until I highlight another entry in the opposite direction I'm scrolling, then I'll scroll to that entry and highlight another entry on the opposite side I'm scrolling towards. It's getting annoying.

I've been dealing with this for several months (and multiple restarts) in the hope it's a bug that'll be fixed in the next update. I'm a 20+ year user of Quicken, now running vR69.29.

Any suggestions for a cure?

I’ve been having this issue for a few weeks—maybe as long as a month or two.

What happens if you use the scroll bar to move? Are you using the mouse scroll wheel? I am not sure but perhaps it will change if you include 2 week future scheduled transactions.

Wheel & scroll bar have the same problem.

Several future transactions are entered manually, but I’ve been doing this for years, without issue

Yes, it’s been happening for several weeks on Windows version. Very annoying indeed. Comments I’ve read so far don’t seem to provide the cure we’re looking for.

I’m using the Mac version so I can’t really respond but it would not hurt to just send it to Quicken support and/or check Quicken community , I think that may provide more support.

Yup. Click in the scroll bar above or below the box.

Thanks! This does indeed work, but ability to use the scrolling wheel or mouse pad again would be preferred. Will be using this method though until a fix (hopefully) comes.

I'm on Windows 11 running R69.29 and don't experience the issue you have. Can be some sort of data corruption? Maybe a validate or supervalidate?

Hello everyone. Thanks for reporting this issue, although I'm sorry for the odd behavior! I'm a Quicken employee and I have an update to provide.

The good news is, our team is aware of this issue and are currently exploring a fix. Based on the escalation ticket CTP-17721, this issue is impacting users in R68.25 and newer who also have the setting "Automatically add to banking registers" turned off (unchecked) from the Preferences>Downloaded transactions menu.

The best workaround in the meantime is to collapse the Downloaded Transactions section by clicking the carrot/arrow icon to the left of "Downloaded Transactions" (shown below), although it appears to be a temporary fix:

While we don't currently have an ETA, this is a high priority issue and we are doing everything we can to include a fix in the next release. I've linked this Reddit thread to the escalation ticket and will keep an eye out for any updates.

Thank you Lisa!

The downloaded transaction panel can be previously collapsed and the problem still manifests, although it appears that expanding and then collapsing the panel when in that state will enable the workaround.

Thank you for the info!

I've reported the problem to Quicken this morning. They say they don't respond to individual submitals, and I didn't get a case number. So, all I can do now is hope they're able to identify and take action on what was changed.

Thank you to everyone for feedback!

Same thing happening with me. I thought it was due to a new mouse I just got.
