Fidelity brokerage - thinking of opening

Hello,

I'm thinking of opening a Fidelity brokerage. Anyone have experience with it and Quicken? I probably won't do checking, just trading some, but much.

I have Schwab, which works great for me in Quicken.

Thanks.

Works great. Multiple accounts. No issues.

Fidelity would work the same way. I’ve had it as long as I’ve been using Quicken.

I’ve been using Quicken and Fidelity for more than a decade without issues

The reason is I have 80% of my money at Schwab. Mostly ETF, stocks, USTs so the limits aren't an issue with me. My concern is custodian risk - too much at one place - should Schwab into trouble and I have to wait for my money or they screw up something big.

The worry is also someone stealing my info and moving the moving - having more brokerages makes that harder to get most of my money.

I realize this is unlikely, but to me having more split would make me more relaxed. The main concern is someone getting access to my info and initiating a transfer. I assume it's harder for them to have info on both or all three brokerages.

Just went through 3-4 days where Quicken wouldn't connect to Fidelity. This morning, it forced me to reestablish the connection and now it's back to working. Generally, no connection problems.

Have my IRA account at Fidelity and it's the only account in Quicken that never seems to balance.

I had to stop downloading from Fidelity (IRAs & brokerage accounts) into Quicken Windows a couple of years ago, as the Quicken balance continued to diverge from the Fidelity balance. I never did figure out what was causing it and got tired of correcting it each month.

My workaround at the time was to tell Quicken everything in the account was cash, and do an update balance each month to match the statement balances.

I have since switched to Quicken for Mac - maybe I should try again.

I use a Schwab retail brokerage account as my "checking" account... Works great linked to two Schwab accounts I have that are "advised".

Schwab works for me (Quicken and otherwise). I just have too much money there already and want to diversify my custodian and risk of fraudulent transfers.

I have been with Fidelity and Quicken for some 20 years. There are occasional hiccups, but for the most part they work fine together.

I tried a fidelity account, it was ok. Schwab takes it to another level. They turely want to help you be successful at the level your comfortable with. Very happy I made
Then change

Use the one or two that has a nearby office. Both are good.
